Is It Quite Daunting When A Wg First Starts Out?

23 posts in this topic

I'm quite interested to hear about how a wg feels when she first starts out as an  escort? Is it daunting.  I saw a wg a few days ago and she said she was nervous a couple of weeks ago when I saw her last?  She didn't appear to show signs of being nervous!  I was a nervous wreck the first time I saw a wg!  It felt like I was going to see an alien with three boobs!  Like the lady in the Arnie film total recall!

I was nervous yes. You are not nervous for long though usually. Its fear of the unknown, of not knowing what to expect. Once you have met a few guys then you know what to expect x

No I was not in the least nervous.

I was always aware though that the guys may be!  Striking the right balance between confidence and compassion is important in my view.

If a new or nervous client is met with an "up her own backside" lady then it could just put him off the whole thing.

Yes I think most people are abit nervous when starting something new.I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be and I rarely get nervous now.

Once you've seen one or two clients it does get a lot easier, however I do think it's easy to then go into fluffy cloud land for quite a long time, it feels like good money, nothing bad has happened, everything is easy until something does happen or you take a break.

I agree with Strawberry.  Never wise to get too complacent.

I would have thought it was quite petrifying for a first timer. Us blokes all were nervous newbies once, and a lot of us still get butterflies before meeting a new lady.

I was so young when I started out that I didn't really think about nerves or anything else apart from all the new experiences and discoveries ahead... Oh to be 19 again ;) it pays to think and be mindful in anything you do though, something I certainly live my life by now.

Thanks Holly.

What I was trying to say was that yes at first it can be terrifying, then you gain a sort of 'false confidence' which can be nice, but also dangerous.

I find newbie clients are a mixture of nerves and naiivety in varying proportions which do change over time, very similar but also very different and very individual.

Not if it's 'full on action', infact can be much more active, just depends.

Yes very daunting and scary..

I first started when I was 18.. I didn't have a clue about "kits" and the etiquette. My first day was in a grotty flat in Seaham.. Once your first day is over with it becomes the norm. I battled with myself about morals in the coming weeks. But learnt so much and had so many positive experiences..

I quit a few years back and started back up in July.. First day again I was nervous, anxious. But as the saying goes, you will always know how to ride a bike.. Or in my case men :) felt like I've never been away. And at 26 I still enjoy my part time job :) xx

Thats an interesting point.  stopping and then starting again is probably quite hard.

I did that Cov.  Started very young, had years away then came back in my early 30's and have to say second time around was a lot more nerve racking,

I'm really interested in Ellie's confession that she battled with morality because I did too big style especially in those first weeks second time around.  I guess by then I knew what it was like to be really hurt by a man and struggled with the thought that I could be an instrumental in doing that to another.

That is so true about the first day thing and then you're off and away and it just becomes normal. Realy hit the nail on the head there  :)

Yes I was terrified!  I had a few false starts (3 years ago) since then everything has gone swimmingly (in that respect at any rate). I don't think the guys knew I was nervous, but I did!

I've got a friend who is starting out in the industry on Monday. She's really nervous but has me for guidance and help and moral support. It can be a very isolating job, ESP when you have a bad day and can't really talk to anyone about it. But yes I did battle with my morals, more second time round, but it's again the norm now.. :) x
