Trip From Us To Uk Late June, 2014. Suggestions?

24 posts in this topic

I'm relatively new to the punting scene and will be traveling to Dublin and London in late June this coming summer.  I currently have a hotel in Dublin booked for a business conference and then will be traveling to London for a 5 day trip, which I've rented a local flat for.

This will be my first trip across the pond and I think I've done a good amount of research, and realize most of the activity in the London area will be through independents or agencies.  However, I'm also looking to prepare as best I can for the trip and am seeking out any local tribal knowledge or tips other Punters may have for this 10 day trip.  Essentially, I'm looking to have a great sightseeing trip coupled with a great punting experience!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advice!

There are the usual hop-on, hop-off buses.

However, you should plan to get yourself an Oyster Card because this saves on public transport (halves the price). You pre-load it with credit (10 pounds per day max) and use some of the best bus routes to get around. Number 24 bus covers the West End, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. I am a big fan of the Abbey. The Tower of London is on the South side of the City of London and holds the Crown Jewels.

With regard to agencies, I am a fan of Maxes Angels. One intrepid American booked 4 times on his (3 Angels, with Megan for 2 bookings) first visit. The second time he saw 2 Angels and had an overnight with my favourite indie.

If you have specific racial/ethnic preferences, this London board has many dedicated threads. You also can glean quite a bit of info from the FRs, though many changes will occur in the four months prior to your arrival here.

-Sex with escorts is legal in the UK.  Running a brothel is not legal, but only the one running it is committing a crime - ie not you. But most brothel = parlour are ignored by the police.  i start with these comments so you understand why prices are lower and the situation is SO different than many places. It is a legal thing for you and for the WG. Plan it, do it.

-Visit Lady Marmalade Parties.  Don't bother with Stonehenge.  For a day trip go to Bath or Portsmouth.

-Buy the book "Watching the English" by Kate Fox, so you know about talking about the weather and not talking on the tube.

Dublin's cool... but London is better... your going to have a great time... yeah there are all the usual places like big ben, westminster, st pauls etc its all cool but take some time to see places like Brick lane, Portabello road, camden town as well...

for some dickensian punting soho and shepherds market are almost gone now but worth a look if you want to see a walk up

LOL you can expect a dickensian hag though... loads of EE (east european) girls down there... just stroll in, ring the bell and see who is working, no obligation. some laughs to be had if you go with a friend or 2...

loads of online agencies with girls working out of flats in Paddington... many different nationalities, a real melting pot... just go online and take your pick...

Brighton is a cosmopolitan seaside town not too far from London...

remember to tell us about your punting adventures when its all over....

remember England is small.  You can get to Milton keynes by train in about 45 minutes where there are some good parlours. And go to Bletchley park which was where we did code breaking in WW2.

or go to oxford.  but punting there is less developed.

You can take  the No.24 (which is a new "Boris" Routemaster) or pedal a Boris Bike to Westminster and partake of Lady Marmalade Parties which is nearby!...you may even bump in to Boris when at ... party...parliament ;)

Forget the buses and subway when in London. Walk the streets. That's the way to get to know a city. Most of the attractions listed so far on this thread are within 2 hours walk of Hyde Park Corner. Take to the streets. You will feel fitter and know the place far better.

Then you will be slim and trim for the ladies of your choice.

Wow, I just now realized I posted in the "Outside UK and Ireland" thread, sorry about that.

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions.  I will be traveling on my own and have leased out a flat on Portobello Road, thought home-basing near the market could be fun, and appears to be a stable, safe area to stay in general.  Will definitely do the "Oyster Card" and a lot of just walking the streets to get the real feel of London.  I am going to order the book mentioned tonight to learn how not to make the stupid tourist mistakes!!  Think the flat I leased comes with a local mobile phone, is that a no go?  Should I still go the independent way with the sim card?

Of couse, "Lady Marmalade Parties" caught my eye immediately and I'll try to check on this on my own via the web tonight.  Any inside info there, how do you connect?  Do you just show up?  Will also definitely be planning in a couple day trips to outskirts of England to catch as much as I can while there.  Thanks again for the tips!!

Having worked as a receptionist in Dublin many years ago I would definatly advise London is a safer place for punters for incalls anyway if that is what you are after.    Buses can sometimes be better than tubes the number 27 will take you close to most of the Escorts in the central and west areas of London and its a great way to see the sights also.

You can get a thing called the London Pass which will get you into loads of different tourist sites in London also,

I hope that you enjoy your trip

yeah good advice you can miss so much getting the tube everywhere... you dont realise how close things are... sometimes it even takes longer, London is great for walking...

LOL - sorry but cant agree with going to milton keynes... punting might be good but its not as good as London and would take up a precious day of holiday and you would only get to see one of our most despised towns which is ironically modelled on US style town planning... not really a place we should be proud of if you ask me...

oxford or bath could be worth an away day though... not really for punting just for sight seeing... - punting is 24/7 in london anyway so you will have more than enough time for that...

If you are lucky and the sun comes out, central london is one of the happiest places you could ever be...

"Portobello Road" perfect, an excellent location.

wow, i feel quite sentimental and patriotic, excuse me while i go out to my balcony and sing "god save the queen" to passers by...

... coupled with a great punting experience!

You haven't clarified budget and the kind of things you like, what are deal-breakers and what are nice-to-haves. Specific recommendations can be made once you do. In general,

 - you will never need to spend more than £400 for a spectacular experience

 - my best experiences have been all across the price spectrum (£60 for half an hour to £400 an hour) but after doing careful research. Lack of research can mean a disaster at any price level. Price is indeed no indicator of quality without research but I have found it to be correlated when the girls are backed up by reviews on performance (at a slightly higher price, setting and ambience will be nicer, likelihood of more services being included in the price is higher etc)

 - once you go above £500 an hour, you hit the agencies which cater to multi-millionaires, rich Arabs etc who are often focused on arm candy for an evening and don't really care much about price. This is often a waste of money for more seasoned punters.

An anecdote to illustrate the point above - I had met a girl for £70 for 30 minutes (£120 was her hourly rate) a few years ago when she had been in London for a few weeks and then again a few months ago at the same price - while she saw me for the same price on an independent booking, by then she had changed from a shy, uncertain, slightly scared but adorable person to a much more confident, professional, and more hardened provider. She was charging £500 or more an hour on multiple agency sites, and we spent 45 minutes talking after the agreed half an hour where she was telling me about the clientele, exactly as I have described above. Of course she loved it - they would take her for fancy dinners etc and the actual punting was a small part of the whole experience. But there was no way on earth she was worth £500 - max £200 because she was a nice person and truly stunning but her services were somewhat limited.

Good luck and enjoy the trip, you'll love both cities:-)

Book yourself an escort who knows London well and combine sightseeing with the company of someone who knows their way around with some sexy time!

Most escorts have a 'date'  or day rate which takes into account that the times is not filled with bonking!

I'm pretty certain that you will need to book in advance so they can get their ratios right.

The trouble with hiring me is that my rates are over £1,000 per day.

It's better to think of me kindly and hope for me to cheerlead pro bono.

I know Dublin and London well enough, and my advice is to do all your punting in London. Dublin is great for the social scene and sightseeing as well, but way too expensive for punting purposes. London, on the other hand, offers many punting delights for no more than £150 ($250) ph. I regularly have a fun time in Dublin, but not in punting terms. Forget the sights of London! My advice is music and sightseeing in Dublin and punting in London. Five days punting will guarantee that you return to the good ol' US of A completely drained with a treasure load of memories to look back on

At the risk of repeating myself = Dublin for the craic and London for the punting

Makes sense!

Yeah forget the sights of London... there's nothing to see really... and not much going on in terms of nightlife, music and culture either... everyone's tucked up in bed by 11pm, every where's closed.

an arl dose feckin gal-reees, histaaaarick booldins an feckin too-rist attraaaaactshans... are arl a lard a feckin craip an barlex

The best thing you can do is make sure that the place has satellite TV so you don't miss any of your favorite shows. Then find a hooker that does outcalls so you dont have to go out.

Paying for a escort/tour guide? Well I wouldn't advise it, her meter would be running from the first minute, if the fella is in London for a few days he can find his own way round without a hooker holding his hand. :)

Gandalf > I am open to most punting experiences, looking for some great company at realistic rates, maybe even to try A+ service for the first time!?  I've been searching several sites, including Diva Escorts of London, reading reviews there and then checking on a US site, TER reviews to see if there is feedback for the same ladies there as well, trying to make sure I make the best decisions with reviewed ladies!

I'm not sure if I should focus on escort who do outcalls, and would to the flat I'm leasing on Portobello, or focus on incalls.  Also a bit worried there would be a concern with having an outcall to a leased property, especially one shared as my lease will be in a "b" unit for which there most surely must also have an "a" unit!  Most of all I'm up for those "safe" once in a lifetime experiences from a punting perspective I need to experience while I'm in London.

ralhar > I laughed for 3 minutes straight at the Satellite TV comment, I'm good to go there, and love the idea of bringing the fun in!

Thanks to everyone else for the continued suggestions!!

I don't think you need to worry about outcalls, since if you are based in Portobello Road, several well known hotels chock full of excellent girls are a 5-7 cab / 5-10 min tube or bus hop / 20 min walk away in the High St Ken / Gloucester Rd / Earl's Court / South Ken areas.

If you want to generally chill out with the girl in a nice setting of your own choosing your apartment might make sense, but a rented apartment and the girl's own apartment or hotel room are unlikely to be radically different (most of the hotels I'm talking about here are more than decent and the good girls do have a sensible habit of renting the slightly better rooms with more space rather than the absolute minimum hole in the wall rooms)

Most of the Maxes girls will be based in the areas I mentioned, plus some excellent indies. There is a building on Notting Hill Gate (the Bayswater Road) which has a lot of Thais if that's your thing.
