It's really common for men to enjoy having their bums played with, maybe I get lots who want anal play because I refer to it specifically as a service I offer on my website, so I might not be an unbiased source!

of course there are a few men who actively say they don't want anything anywhere near their arses, but some have been pleasantly surprised how much they like a gentle rub around the area if not insertion!

I don't think education has anything to do with it though! Open mindedness to try it is though!

I am one of those who is happy when his arse is left alone. Without listing my educational qualifications, I don't see any correlation between my view on anal and my level of  education.

No correlation whatsoever.I keep being told how fab it feels for a woman to be penetrated there...all those nerve endings...no thanks.I am reasonably educated but I know what I like and what I don't.I would say its the same for the men.

I was persuaded by.a tantric masseuse to have a prostate massage - and very quickly regretted it.

It felt really unpleasant to have something going slowly up the nethers in the wrong direction, then hanging around and fiddling for seemingly ages - while nothing happened except an increasing loss of pleasure in the frontal department.

I tried not to show my displeasure too much as the lady was really so sweet. But in the end I soon ended-up ending being probed up the end.

So I doubt I'll try that again. Even though it has been said that it's better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done...

Since when has it been classy not to say "arse"?

Certainly 'arse' is classier than the american style 'ass'

Anal play is almost a must have during a punt for me.  I love strap on fun, but always enquire if this service is available before making a booking.  Also, most of the ladies that I have boked for this really seem to enjoy it and really get into pounding away!!

I think when you say "educated", you are referring to sexual education (i.e. not academic).  I agree with that because only after reading about it did I even think about exploring (and being more comfortable with) prostate massage.  Now I love it and it certainly gives me bigger orgasms - typically I get a very warm sensation from it but you do need to be relaxed to enjoy it (but that's not very difficult because we're only talking about a finger or small toy).  I think you open your eyes about a lot of new enjoyable experiences after reading more and more about it.  It is fantastic that this type of information is so readily accessible today.

The assertion is nonsense.  As much nonsense as the notion that all women 'like it up em'.  Some women don't like that type of penetration, some like fingers amd others don't.  Believe it or not there are some guys who do not like oral and the're are some women who don't like direct stimulation of the clit.

It has nothing to do with education, sexual or otherwise, you cannot educate a person to enjoy part of their body being touched/stimulated - much like people enjoy different sexual strokes and different degrees of pounding, everyone has there own threshold, their own boundaries and their own lines between pleasure and pain..  You can teach them how to enhance the enjoyment but whether they actually enjoyment is subjective.

Try this, not all gay men like anal sex.

I think you can 'educate yourself' (i.e. read) about lots of things where you have adopted an initial view / belief based on your upbringing, general societal influence, friends, etc. but where your research allows you to consider new perspectives.  People change their views slowly and if someone has a certain mindset about being touched there, they will not allow themselves to enjoy it, even if they might otherwise enjoy it if they were open to the idea.  Doesn't mean they will enjoy it but they won't even allow themselves if they don't get comfortable with the idea first.  I'm sure there are lots of exceptions - this is just a general view based on my experience.

But there are two aspects to this.

1.  Not liking something because of societal and cultural influences.

2.  Not liking something because your body doesn't enjoy that type of stimulation.

I guess I am in category 2 but I will give some thought to the societal and cultural influences and see if I can rationalise those too.

the first porn mag I took ownership of (in the thriving second-hand market at school) made liberal use of that word, which was new to me at the time. Yes, it has a nice ring to it.

Ah yes, quim...!

My favourite use of the word is in a limerick by Philip Larkin about Barbara Pym, whose genteel novels he much admired:

The chances are certainly slim

Of finding in Barbara Pym -

I speak with due deference -

The faintest reference

To what in our youth we called quim.

His youth, of course, was in the 1930s. When I was a lad thirty years later it certainly wasn't what we called it.

I've wondered about the male g spot too. Although I never tried it I'm sure it would help to be in the hands of an experienced wg before such antics take place. Any recommendation (in London) appreciated.
