Asking The Punter If He Has A Girlfriend

59 posts in this topic

Just wondering why a lot of working girls seem to ask, and I've noticed other punters have experienced this, "so, do you have a girlfriend"?

This is often quite an awkward moment, as there doesn't seem to be a right answer - either you say "no, I don't really have a girlfriend" and then the girl says "why? you should really have a girlfriend..."; or you say "yeah, I have a girlfriend/ or am seeing someone" - at which point things become a bit awkward.

So, why do working girls ask this question?

And what do punters normally answer to this?

I never ask this.I am not interested I also don't like being asked if I have a boyfriend. Its just not relevant to the booking.

Weird. i don't know any escorts who would dream of asking this.

I've never been asked this. As I'm wearing a wedding wing, that could account for it but one or two have brought that up- it's no issue for me as I'm only fooling myself if I go into denial.

I have also never asked about the girl's situation- for me that's off limits wrt me initiating the discussion.

I have no problems answering the question nor asking it if I feel the lady is amenable to open discussions. Not likely to happen on a 1st visit though.

Most or all WG's ive been with have asked that question.

Why is it awkward? its just plain conversation..

I guess its awkward because for the blokes they don't want to be reminded that they are cheating? For myself if I say I am single I get the follow up questions of why or the odd inappropriate punter asking me out or if I say I am with someone then I get 'oh what does your partner think then?'

There is conversation then there is nosiness about someones personal life.Punters sometimes tell me about their situation but I never push for it.

2 sp's have asked me if I have a gf, out of all the wg's I have seen.Iam not sure why that question would be asked though? It's good to read that it could be a common question for a wg to ask a punter?

It is just chat. I always get asked " why are you in London?" To which I reply " to meet you."

Its just chat, so many punters seem to confuse visiting a wg, with going undercover for mossad, cover stories, punting phones, elaborate alibis. Frankly unless you are seriously famous,,,,,,,.

I have been asked this a few times as well and it is a bit awkward.  Much easier now that I'm single again :-).  I like porker paul's answer though - seems a nice way to avoid the subject - although I guess some people probably like to talk about their relationship issues with a WG (like a bit of therapy on the side, lol).  One WG I have now seen a few times always asks me about how my dating life is going now and we have some fun chat about what's going on and who I've seen, etc.

I just go on the assumption that most guys are married unless they make a point of saying otherwise..often they say they are. Guys often bring up family /partner in some way even if its something like "yes WE usually take a trip to cornwall each year" or something similar, depending on the subject matter

Sometimes I meet a single man who is lovely but very nervous.  He might tell me he does not have much success with girls, and I may say to him 'you need a girlfriend', to which the answer is usually - ;how do I get one' and then I may say - I don't know, but you are lovely...  it's just conversation is all.

I don't ask anything about anything   personal/sexual   with the men I see.  if they volunteer info that's fine, but I do not discuss anything other than the job in hand............ so to speak :)

I think it's just general chit chat. It's hard when you're in that situation as you're not gonna sit there and talk about stocks, shares and the rise in house prices... so some girls probably get nervous and think of the first thing, or maybe it's just dam curiousity. Personally I've never asked it and don't feel the need to, same as it's probably in apropiate for someone to ask me about my private life :) xo

Maybe they're looking for a potential hubby!!! Only kidding. Like other's have said it's general chit-chat. It's when they start asking you what you do and where you work I start getting nervous.

some girls ask and some don't , I think if you are spending a whole evening with someone it might come up but ild imagine its least likely to come up if a guy is just having a quickie! im sure that girls don't intentionally ask it to make client feel uncomfortable though.. kate

Not some thing I would have ever asked somebody and can't understand why another woman would. Having said that the two questions that I got asked a lot that did drive me mad where... 'Have you got a boyfriend?' Errmm 'I'm wearing a wedding ring dopey' and... What's a lovely woman like you doing this job for? Hated the last question because it inferred you had to be not so nice or down and out to do it, got asked that one a lot and always had to bite my tongue.

Some things should not be said during an intimate encounter especially personal stuff.

I also hate the question are you just doing this for money then? Well yes this is my job but just like some hairdressers enjoy styling hair I enjoy what I do...I think some people on both sides just don't always know what to say so blurt things out.
