Maybe not the most important but one I have is when I am referred to by a different name whether on email or text, even worse if in person or on the phone

Any others that people care to mention?

My mother used to do that to all of us.

As far as I am aware she was not a prostitute.

Some people are just absent minded. I do it.

My grandmother always called me first my Aunt's name, then my mothers, finally my own, in a long string.. "Sarah-Margaret-Claire" sort of thing. It passed into the family language and still happens now even though she died six years ago.

As for clients - I have never knowingly called one by the wrong name but am often perplexed by emails where the header says 'From John Smith' for example, and the email is signed 'love Richard'....

My favourite is when a new client emails me.

They have set up their email client to display their name, so at the top of the email it say (for example):

From Phil McAvity.

and then they sign the email "Dave"...

The mischievous part of me always wants to start my reply with:

Hi Phil/Dave

That's 'cos we replied at pretty much the same time.

Also, we must remember that fools seldom differ.

P.S. You're a bad woman. I always pretend I haven't noticed their error.

I have a client I have been seeing for years, with er three names, he often texts, emails and calls with each different persona. I did say to him when he arrived last time he booked under one name, then calling me on the phone with one of the others to say he had arrived, "So, who are we today??". He looked at me like I was quite mad... gave me the cash and got on with the job in hand. An hour after the appointment he text again, to thank me... using his number but another name...

Ahh, isn't it just heart warming that you are the one thing his multiple personalities have in common....

My mum has a habit of calling me by one of the pet's names if that counts.

Punters on the other hand have a habit of shortening names, did they never get taught manners by their parents. It is one of my biggest pet hates on the planet

HAHA!! thats hillarious so many different names! it's one thing to make up a fake name but to make up 4 and then forget which you have used on 4 separate occasions!

I once had a confirmation text regards an appointment I was sure I hadn't arranged. I double checked then recieved another text using another lady's name and a type of appointment specified on her website(yes I'm nosy and do look at other lady's sites:D). He was pretty adamant he was confirming with the correct number/person etc.

Good job I was polite and helpful since if I hadn't pointed out his mistake since he'd probably would have turned up at her place to be told he was cancelled or tried phoning for directions using my number - thus ending up in a right mix-up.

The other big no-no is guys phoning and asking "Who is this?" makes a girl very wary of answering this as an opening line.

Lol! I hate it when they say "who is this?" I always reply "well who are you?"

One chap thought he had the wrong number simply because I didn't make it obvious I was an Escort i.e. I didn't blurt out "Hi it's Ruth your local tart/sex goddess" .

You mean you don't answer your phone with 'Good morning/afternoon/evening, Whores 'R' Us, how may I help you?'???

If a caller opens with " who is this?" I ask who he is calling. I do not offer my name and need to check they have dialled the correct person.

I suppose with any profession there are aspects which we grit out teeth at....

one happened today with me and I have sacked a client.....

He was never a favourite of mine anyway due to his sometimes throwing the money down and saying " this is the part I don't like" and his constant requests for discounts and bringing in another lady for no extra fee, to name but 2

Today however, I had to go and post a letter at 12.45, he was due at 1.30. I was just walking back to my block of flats and saw a familiar car, it was him parking outside my flat. I wasn't sure if he saw me but I continued indoors. I then phoned him and asked if he was outside ( half an hour early). He said no he was not far off though. I said I had just seen his car and he then admitted he was there and was having something to eat before coming in.

I told him it was not a good idea to sit outside ( he was only a few yards from my window! ) for so long and he could attract attention. I told him to drive away and come back later. He took this to mean that I wouldn't see him at all today ( weird train of thought ) and said he would rebook.

I was just fed up by this time so told him I would not give him any more appointments.

Guys, would you be comfortable with an escort sitting outside your home for a lengthy time before coming in?

I wouldn't dream of doing what he did!

It's not really discrete for other guys having someone sat near the entrance - you could have been finishing an appointment during that time and he would have full view of the chap leaving. Ok he could be someone from another flat but I'm sure quite a few guys would not be impressed!

Just strikes me as someone who's a bit clueless with how things involving other people work. Who'd have thought it, in this line of business/pleasure? (I include mysewlf in this )

Constant checking of the mobile phone and even answering texts during a booking (the girl, not me :)) is my pet hate. A quick check or two is absolutely fine btw, but a couple of girls I have met have taken it to extremes.

Mind you, I've yet to find a girl bold enough to do it "in flagrante delicto" like one girl recently reported on in an FR

uuggghhhhh !! probably eating a big hot spicy smelly kebab. --- pulled up outside your house --- what an eejit !

I know of an accountant who at the end of every year, takes out a list of his client, looks thru it and treats himself to striking off / sacking his least favourite and most troublesome client of that year. he really feels good after doing it !!

bugbears ---- not knowing whether I am communicating with the escort herself or not --- very often when dealing with non-nationals, I feel I am dealing with another girl or a friend or worse still with her operator.
