Reg Clean

10 posts in this topic

I keep getting this offering to scan and clean up my pc.... it apparently has found 100's of "errors" in my computer...... I know I can have a free version which only eradicates a small number of errors but the rest is done after paying their charges.

My Kaperskey anitvirus updates every day and works fine.

Has anyone used this Reg clean?  I googled to see if it is genuine and it seems to be.... if so is it effective?

Its a scam don't go for it.  If your PC is running slow take it to your local PC man to clean it.  Most on the internet are just after your money.

It can get rid of an astounding amount of garbage the first time you run it which has the beneficial effect of helping your antivirus scan to run quicker :)

I understand that ccleaner was originally called CrapCleaner. I use it and have had no problems with it.

This is good and free

http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm

I use that and Ccleaner too

Another useful one is the free version of Malwarebytes anti-malware

i have avg free, ccleaner, the eusing registry cleaner and malwarebytes.

remember ccleaner has a registry cleaner -it finds different stuff to the eusing one

i have used this lot for many years.

also i keep saving restore points so in case of trouble i can get working again.
