Thai Wgs Using Line, Whatsapp, Kakaotalk.....and You

25 posts in this topic

Ok, for those of you prone to a bit of chatty chat with your favourite Thai sp in between appointments, using any of the aforementioned social media apps, I have a word of caution for you: You might not want to use your face as your profile image and then post a million starry eyed icons on the latest photo of Macy's dinner last night, or Zizzi's surprise face of her stuffed animals in simulated flagrante delicto. Like 'Franck77'...dude you are like a 60 year old from Chingford, you aren't her little Thai buddy from Ratchaburi, why are you posting! There are guys using their entire first and last names on some LINE postings I've seen...

My point is: anything that leaves a trail back to you in public is something you really don't want. And for the love of god, never use Facebook chat for this, getting rid of the history is like shaking a shadow.

Actually on that point, I'm curious....how many of you are friends on FB of one or more providers?

I can say with confidence I don't contact any SP's via Facebook or any other social media and never will.

I do not use social media in all its delightful forms. For me it is the curse of modern life. I am perfectly happy spending all my waking hours wandering through Second Life.

Whilst I do use social media in civvie life - FB, Twitter, Instagram - I would never cross over and use these platforms to keep in touch with my fav WGs.

I did about a year back set up a separate FB account to engage with some sexy chat with a WG I had seen and her FB friends. But it started to make life complicated and also I got bored with it. So I've let that account drop

The only medium I use for chatting with fav WGs is the occasional text message, and I'm happy keeping it that way  <_<

So true!  Getting rid of FB on your computer is just as difficult as getting rid of AOL - you practically need to replace your hard drive.

A good friend of mine in Bangkok is floor manager at the Doll House on Soi Cowboy and I foolishly accepted him as a 'friend' a few years ago.  I soon found invitations to befriend every bar girl/go-go dancer/freelancer in Thailand pouring in, along with similar invitations from friends of my daughter and a variety of other family members and straight-laced family friends.  FB has since tightened up its security/privacy provisions but I haven't a clue how many of those 'friends' are wondering what Old Tiggy is up to now!

Line is not as bad, and it is ideal for the TG who struggles a bit with written English but I only use it for direct 1-2-1 communication.  And of course Line could have been invented by Zizzi - they were made for each other!  She must have been their icon designer's muse.

I used WeChat a lot with my ex-gf (she's a Filipina) and it was excellent for keeping in touch without the hassle of Skype or expense of texting.

.

.

Pinay girls are easier to communicate with on account of their spoken English as i found out recently in my Chat & Flirt calls with a Pinay girl i met when i first made a call to a Techie Help call center . To be on the safe side financially, i told her that i am a heavy gambler so unexpected requests for wired cash can't be met .  .

.
It was this Pinay girl who told me about using wechat . I want to use it to find out when we get it on .
Something new, Something exciting .

I use Whatsapp, Line and Viber to keep In contact with bargirl and non-p4p girls back In Asia, I've also noticed that some WG's over here are also on Whatsapp, as Aussie said be wary In using your face pic on profile and using your name, a punter should be using a punting phone anyway.

LINE and text messaging seem to be the favoured means of communicating. (I am in the midst of a LINE chat with a WG as I write this).  However, both my name and photo are unrecognisable.

To follow on Tiggy's comment, it is hard to keep up with ZZ when it comes to icons.  She seems to have a library full and instant access to all.

I tried downloading Line and failed miserably. I really miss the pre Internet days and remember fondly fountain pens.

I really enjoy using Twitter to keep in touch with everyone and I can post my musing up there... I do have separate accounts for my 'other life' and I don't use FB as there are too many people on there and I do find it somewhat annoying these days. x

I remember fountain pens too... I'd always try to write with one at school but I'd always push on the nib bit too hard and break them very quickly... I was more suited to a biro ;)

The ones I had at school had no ink wells, but I'd have wanted you to pop your cartridge in my fountain pen for sure ;) xx

Way back in time my junior school provided basic pens with nibs and a wooden body. A few cuts in the base, a paper tail and presto; a pretty lethal dart. The joys of a boy's life before elf n safety.

I thought you used quill pens in your youth.   :D

I said junior school, don. We had quills in the infants though. And some well plucked geeses I can tell you.

I tried again to log into Line but the password they sent me never arrived. I need a nerdy teen. (Wonders how much Macy charges for a hour of new phone tech. lessons. ( double wonders if that would be a first for a thai escort, to have phone calls interrupted by sex!))

Zizzi will sort you out, on 'Line' and otherwise.

Seriously, Tiggy is right;  these girls know all the "ins and outs" of Line and other social media.   I had my "Thai PA"  helping me sort out a problem today, using my QR Code.  (I had never even heard of a QR Code; thought it might be some WW II secret method of transmission)

My 10 quid punting phone doesn't do apps, maybe I need another 400quid iPhone, apple should promote this usage.

Or use a older smart phone for punting, like a iPhone 3GS or 4s, either an old contract phone or but one cheap on eBay, just remember not to use the same Apple ID for your private phone and punting phone.
