10 posts in this topic

Sorry, I dont know what they are called but when I click any link , I automatically get some advertising pop up, sometimes raunch other times not. Dont want to be presenting the current management accounts when this stuff appears on the screen !!!!

How do I stop them ?

What links are you clicking on? Ladies that have PN profiles?

It happens on here too when you look at reports.

I actually have a little game (yes, OK, I'm sad) since I know it's coming and get my mouse ready to fire at that little "X" before it completes loading - I'm pretty good (stops to blow a plume of smoke away from end of wireless mouse!) ;)

Try clearing history and cookies, if that fails try a different browser.

How you picked up some sort of browser hijacker?

Sounds like you have downloaded some 'free' software with some adware incorporated in it.

Download malwarebytes and ad-aware and do a scan that should cure it.

There are advertising popups for live cams that PN generates, but if you are logged into your main PN account (reviewer or provider) you won't get them.

On Firefox there's an interesting add-on called AdBlock plus, should exist also for other browsers ? Simple and effective as far as I'm concerned.

Yes it is good and works on other browsers as far as I know but I doubt it is designed to stop what the OP is experiencing.

I now get plaintive pop up pleas from some sites asking me to allow ads on their site because the advertisers help pay for the site to exist.
