Day-Rate Hotel Rooms

18 posts in this topic

A site advertising day-rate rooms at some pretty up-scale hotels was posted on another thread.  I've always been put off out-calls because I don't have a house I would be able to take a lady back to and 4+ star hotels in Central London can be rather expensive, but a few women I'd be interested in seeing only offer out-calls.

What are your experiences of day-rate hotel rooms?

Other than the obvious reason of working a night-shift, what do these day rooms generally get used by people for?  I would be quite worried about arousing too much suspicion.

My experience of them in the area I live is they seem work out more expensive than normal rates and there doesn't seem to be much availability. They seem to work better around the London area than oop North.

I tend to book rooms through hotel.com - book 10 rooms, get one free which my next one will be ;)

As regards suspicion, I couldn't care less what anyone thinks!

I've got a couple of free nights on hotels.com, unfortunately if you're quite conservative about what you spend on hotels when travelling... they aren't going to cover a hotel room in London. ;-)

True!

I'm looking at a nice hotel for an overnight booking - the free night won't cover it but looking at the rates around the time I'm thinking of booking I reckon it'll cost me about £25 on top of the freebie which seems pretty decent to me. Not in London though!

Excellent, and I have mentioned www.between9and5.com on many threads here.   The quality of the hotels/rooms has been high - over half of them belong to the Accor group of hotels - and if you had booked one of them for overnight use you would have paid 2-3 times more.  I have no idea what percentage of these rooms are booked by punters but I suspect that the number is fairly high.  I have never felt uncomfortable booking in solo and walking out afterward with a lovely young woman on my arm - no one seems to pay a blind bit of notice, or care.  You have nothing to fear but fear, itself. ;)

In many day use hotels you can book or cancel online as you wish, without paying in advance. You can pay in cash on arrival. And it's none of the staff's business what you're doing here, you can rest between two flights, have an affair, they don't care. Do you think they would offer day use if they didn't have customers for it ? ;)

Important point, FB - and I never actually book-in until I am confident that the WG is on the way and has no last minute problems - and I have had to cancel, without penalty, several times when something has gone awry.

My own experience was absolutely fine; most people using the same hotels seemed to be tourists in transit, judging by the number of large suitcases in the lobby.

It isnt

Its considered that if a hotel is mentioned as being suitable for our hobby, then the hotel may feel obliged to put in measures to stop it.  Of the authorities may take an interest.

If you want to mention hotels or chains do it by PM

and if anyone mentions a hotel by name use the report button and the mods will remove the post.

I thought the same policy applies to day use hotels: they only have some 10-15 hotels in London area.

Naming specific hotels as being suitable for encounters with WGs is not encouraged, as there has been evidence of hotels tightening up their procedures after they have been discussed (eg introducing Key Cards, guests having to sign in etc.). I don't see that naming a booking site could cause the same problem.

As a new arrival here can I say that this kind of information is excellent for me and I hope the mods will allow it to remain and that anyone posting stays in line with the forum rules.. There are so many lovely ladies out there that I would love to encounter but are out of my area. These hotels could answer my prayers!

Never knew these places existed so thanks for the ongoing lessons! :)

I have had great success with between9and5.com for central london hotels. I have booked a 4* hotel that woukd have cost £200 for an overnight for £60 before now. The best thing is that no credit card is required to make the booking so if there is a no show, you don't have to check in.

I have also checked in with a young lady on my arm more than once. What with the age difference and all, it is pretty obvious what is going on. The hotel staff have always been perfectly professional and I have had no bother whatsoever. As long as the hotel are paid and people's noses aren't rubbed in it, they don't give a stuff.

Fill your boots.

It's all fun and games till the cleaners burst in.

Make sure you put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign out.  <_<

It never happened to me apart from one occasion: I was with my ex in a former communist country, after driving through several countries when we checked mid day in a top hotel.  Two-three hours later, after a shower, we were watching TV quietly, all the lights off, me shaped on his back, both in underwear.  I remember being so calm, sniffing his gorgeous hair when we heard a quick knock and immediately this woman not looking like the 'dumb' housekeeper bursting in the room.  'Get da fuck out' I shouted at her.  I only saw her head and she looked like a top end professional.  I was thinking: 'so the stories about these people still checking on others are true'.

I can also add there is a fairly new site out there - http://www.byhours.com/

You can actually book certain central London hotels for 3 or 6 hours. You can save quite a bit of money for outcalls - I've done it twice and both times got a 3/4 star room for less than £50.

The site is Spanish run and both hotels I used were Spanish run ones. Booking was fairly straightforward.

The only drawback I've had so far is that on my second date a member of staff knocked on my door with an hour to go to inspect the mini-bar. Fortunately my escort had already left. Otherwise I've had no problems.

I never heard about this site, so thank you.  Yet, I just checked it and is a bit expensive compared to the others.
