Man Jailed For Raping A Sex Worker

The judge said : "A sex worker, like any other woman in this country, is entitled to her consent." (Thank you for the reminder, Sir !)

This means a sex worker, like any other woman in this country, is entitled to say NO to your request. Before, during, and after you have paid for her services.

Being a sex worker doesn't allow men to abuse us.

Precisely why I admire you girls so much. Never in a million years would I have the courage to walk into situations like you do.

Some guys thrive on vulnerability and I hope this coward gets a seriously good hiding inside.

I think its pretty obvious that we have the right to consent. Its within the law just like for other women. Its not just sex workers that get short shrift because of our profession. The majority of rape cases I believe dont even come to court and when they do the conviction rate is still not what it should be and most of those victims are not sex workers. Women in general are let down a lot by the court system, sex workers shouldnt be singled out as different, ALL women should get the full protection of the law. Sex work is just my job, Im a woman before that and women get short shrift when it comes to this sort of thing even today simply because of perhaps getting drunk, wearing provocative clothing etc

I agree with the other comments on this, particularly Chloe's.

I am very pleased the judge made it crystal clear that Working Girls have the same protection under the law as other women. It also weakens the argument, by those who want to outlaw the purchase of sex, that new laws are required to protect WGs. If existing laws are fully enforced then the proposed new laws are not necessary.

This reminds me a time in my punting Spring where a girl I had paid refused to have sex with me. Of course I did not rape her but I was furious, to say the least. So not taking the side of the accused, but ladies need to know what male arousal means.

As usual I am not sure what you mean. What I said is, if you are a female sex worker, remember that the client is usually horny, and sometimes very horny.

I think he may have been shocked at the implicit threat that if a female sex worker denies a horny client then it is understandable if she is raped or beaten up. At least that is my take on what you said

Of course not. If you see a angry hungry dog, is there a risk to be beaten? Do you want to try and take that risk? If you see a criminal in the street with a knife asking for your wallet, maybe he is bluffing, do you want to take the risk? So what I am saying is a very horny man is a very horny man, do you want to take the risk to check? Know how to handle the rotten apples, that is what I am saying.

What you've said is quite disgusting.

You have kind of implied if a man is horny you should expect to be raped/beaten whatever.

A sex worker or a female is within her right to refuse a man of sex whatever the reason, by explaining what you shockingly said you're digging an even deeper hole.

I've only ever had two bad experiences but shockingly I have had so many texts from men saying "you're a prostiute you don't have a choice who you sleep with"

Some of these men who contact us really don't understand. And the vile ones who think it's okay to force a woman into sex whether she's an escort or not deserve everything they get.

Glad to see you back TYE. Please read my posts twice, I did not say she should have been raped,  I said be prepared for this type of situations, that's all, ideally without getting beaten/raped, that is the point.

These are absurd analogies. In effect, by trying to explain someone's behaviour because they are aroused you are reducing the human being to the level of an animal. There is no cognitive link between an erect cock and the intention to do harm. A state of arousal can never be a defence against assault or even explain it.

May I suggest you stop digging this hole?

Be prepared for what exactly? If I refuse to sleep with a man for whatever reason I should not be preparing myself for anything.

Why would a respectable man who has been refused sex rape or beat a woman? That's whag a monster does.

My understanding of the story in OP (and correct me if I am wrong) is, he had paid for sex, and he had sex with her already. Then he wanted more but she did not agree. So if my understanding is correct he was interrupted while in the middle of the sexual act. Is it the story? If so, think about it a bit more. Once you let a beast in your house, try to find an enjoyable exit scenario if you can. Or do not let him in.

I would just stop talking about it you're digging yourself an incredibly deep hole.

I can't believe anyone can justify a rapist.

Unbelievable isn't it?

I would happily dig a hole for him and throw him in it.

You sound confused. First you said your understanding is that he had paid for, and they had, sex. Then he wanted more and was denied, which (presumably) led to the attack. Then you say your understanding is that he was interrupted while in the middle of the sexual act.

Not that it matters either way. He's rapist scum however it happened. No justification at all in him being horny or whatever. If an escort says no, if anyone says no. No means no means no. You know.

Not confused a bit. He had sex already and wanted more. And he even offered more money, so he said. So not technically in the middle of the sexual act, but kind of. And no I do not support rapists.

Offering money after sex isn't really 'in the middle of the sexual act' but we're splitting hairs.

I'm sure you don't support rapists, but saying "once you let a beast in your house, try to find an enjoyable exit scenario if you can. Or do not let him in." is a bit ridic dude. You can't just 'not let him in' if he's already there. So what are you saying? Try an get out of it safely, or accept that you already let him in and "know what male arousal means"

ok then.
