Prostate Removal

Going in for a prostatectomy in a couple of weeks just wondering if any guys on here have had one and how long after did they get back to punting, is it ever the same? well I know it will not be the same but do you still get a buzz from it.

I have had a few clients who have had this. I'm no expert medically, but from what I have gathered it varies from person to person- age, how fit you are, if you smoke etc.

The men I have seen don't ejaculate anymore, but still have orgasms- dry ones I suppose and they still got pleasure from it.

I had one client who was provided with a penis pump on the NHS! He said they were great about trying to help him with his sex life and whilst it can be a bit embarrassing asking, if you do you might be able to get help too. He was also given something he could inject into his penis if need be to help his hard on. One of the reasons he came to see me was that after his sessions with a nurse teaching him how to use this kit he got himself a fantasy about a nurse getting him off- one that he could actually get off with too! We did a bit of a roleplay around it!

He was terribly open about it when he booked and I was fascinated by his story and watching him get the pump on and using it.

It made it way easier because he told me everything. I had a client once who was quite difficult to get hard (it happens to all men sometimes!) and then when he came nothing came out so I was a bit confused as to what was happening because he gave the signs of having an orgasm but with no mess! (a bonus some might say!) He told me afterwards he had had his prostate removed... would have been better for me to know in advance, but understand he may have fopund it hard to say.

The point is I think if you choose to see an escort be up front from the start, that way you can gauge their reaction (a younger or inexperienced woman might be a bit daunted) and also it's much better for us to know the score in advance!  Maybe if you have a kind regular you could tell her or research someone in your area who seems sympathetic and mature and I bet other long term escorts have seen it all before!

As for you enjoying it, I think you'll have to wait and see, but in my experience men have enjoyed sexual encounters and even if they don't have penetrative sex they enjoy the feeling of a blow job and being with a woman or getting her off.  It won't be the same, but am sure that getting back on the whores (ha ha a pun!) will be much better than wondering...

Good luck with the op and I hope you recover well. I'm sure some chaps with actual experience will be along soon to answer you.

Best of luck! Take plenty of time to recover, and just see what happens - as Lydia said reactions vary. It make take some time for you to know how things are going to pan out for you, but there is always some sort of fun to be had...  ;)

Ive had a fair number of clients who have had ops of one sort or another on their prostate. I think getting back into the swing of things as soon as medically  viable is recommended and dont question yourself in your own head. Dont let it knock your confidence or you could cause an issue just from sheer worry. My guy only issues are that they dont ejeculate. Surely the plus is that even with a girl who doesnt offer CIM, once she  has met you a couple of times and knows you dont ejeculate then CIM will be on the table..even if there is no I between the C and the M.

Hi Mungo.

My treatment for prostate cancer has not required a prostatectomy but I can still empathise with you.  I began with hormone therapy (which will continue till for another year) followed by high dose brachytherapy then external radiotherapy.  My orgasms have been 'dry' for some time but I still get the pleasure but slightly less intense.

I have a vacuum pump, paid for by the NHS, which I use daily for penile rehabilitation - i.e. keeping my penis healthy.  I use Levitra which again is on the NHS but limited to 4 tablets a month.

Maybe you know of them already from the information booklets you've been given but I have always found  Prostate Cancer UK extremely helpful, knowledgeable and understanding.  You can ask them things that would be embarrassing in a face to face encounter.  I've even mentioned my 'hobby' to one nurse (there are males & females).   The contact details are:

0800 074 8383

prostatecanceruk.org

Please feel free to PM me any time if you wish.

I hope the operation goes well.

Softee (well not with Levitra!)

And the "Virtual" facial!

I have no prostate after an operation last year and was left with no natural ability to get an erection after the op because the connecting nerve tissue had to be removed as well. So I am using a pump and considering what it is, actually the results are pretty good. I have started a few threads on the main board about my experience.

But actually, for everyone, the priority for the surgeon and for you, is to remove the cancer and give you normal urinary functions, the sex function is No 3 on the list, and that should be your priority as well - it probably is, you can find plenty of peer group experience on the first two I expect, but if my case is typical none on the sex side when the partner's given up anyway. Good luck.

Thanks all most helpful and for taking the time to reply. It seems there is still fun to be had after the initial recovery time, I have been seeing as many of my favourite ladies as possible just in case the old todger doesn't show any signs of life after.

You have my sympathy, I think I would rather it killed me than have to  live with being impotent without removing your sex drive.

I doubt it.

However, its true that you have to live with a reduced sex drive, and I would be lying if I said I didn't miss shooting the muck over all and sundry. But I have something left because I properly enjoy the company of women. As a result I am still having very satisfatory encounters and far from being a bit put off by the pump one or two are actually being very positive, including one who is finding the new pumped up shape that i have very much to her liking. A surprise but a very pleasant one
