This could be the thin end of the wedge. I hope not, but I fear the worst.

The Manchester Evening News story (http://www.mancheste...s-doors-8299895) includes a quote from MP John Leech: "Local people had spoken to me about customers from Samantha’s approaching their children....". It occurred to me that Mr Leech might be trying to link users of brothels to paedophiles to further his own political ends. I don't see the scenario of 'customers' visiting a brothel then immediately 'approaching children' as remotely credible. Even if we give Mr Leech the benefit of the doubt, and assume he is not playing to the gallery, he should as an MP, at the very least, test the credibility of what he is told by 'local people' before he uses the information in a public statement.

Sounds to me like Leech is living up to his name by clinging on to a story without doing his own proper research.

That statement by Leech shows what manipulative bastards politicians can be to suit their own agendas.

What an idiotic statement to make, talk about playing to the gallery. I hope the twat loses his deposit.

Oh FFS, it always harks back to "will no-one think of the children ?" How many punters looking for discretion are going to approach a child ??

For shame.

If they are approaching children why is no-one reporting and arresting them?Surely can't be difficult if they have a location?

Clients of prostitutes are generally wanting sex with a woman, which is why they are going to a place where they can pay for sex with a, woman.

Old Samanthas was really great and had some really good times there with Jasmine, Jennie, Alex, Shelly and one or two more 2010/2013 period but that new location was a ridiculous move from the off given there's already The Retreat in Chorlton and the general 'other stuff' in the surrounding area. They'd have been much better trying to find somewhere near Withington, Rusholme or Fallowfield as there's nothing else along that whole strip before town itself barr Pandora's which is 6pm-6am so a different opening period to a 11am-9pm place anyhow, authorities likely to care less etc,  not as posh areas but still widely accessible, but for me on paper that place they moved to in Chorlton last year was doomed from day one, that whole area had a bit of a buzz on it mid-late noughties and sort of became 'the new Didsbury' after West Dids being trendy as it gets for a few years late nineties/early noughties so was always likely to draw complaints. One of the most involved areas locally I've seen with different GMP or political community bits also be it Facebook, Twitter, general stuff web and newspaper wise.

I deliberately avoided it despite having been to Palatine Rd one 15-17 or so times over the years as I foresaw all that stuff from day one. Would've been safer on a side road or industrial bit like where Pussycats used to be briefly in Withington - near shops, but rear entrance, off a car park and not obvious what was there at first glance at all. Just like the old Sam's in fact.

John Leech for my money is actually one of the best and most honest MP's in Manchester and one of the few that listens to local people much full stop, played a big part in keeping Withington Leisure Centre open last year and likewise Burnage Library, both of which Labour were willing to shut whilst spending 1.8 million on new laptops and mobiles for their MP's and staff...don't want to turn thread in to a political party row though...but for me is more a case of taking a slight step back and remembering that whilst those of us on forums like this may love a roll around with a hottie in heels your "average  citizen' - young professional, student, mum/dad, whatever, WON'T be so bothered about it all, or accepting at first glance of it all, and thus will have some degree of hysteria created at the mere mention of paid sex stuff same way your Gran might associate a spliff with heroin in clueless fashion or whatever but for my money there probably IS some sort of link between paedophilia, or just 'a bit TOO pervy people' and it all sadly, just in a 'few tarnish the many good ones' way - I've been around glamour forums, porn sites, escorting stuff, babe channel stuff whatever, whatever for years be it as a consumer/'fan' or via knowing people in the different industry's in different roles and to be honest there was always 'some' kind of 'nonce quota' in the mix but I guess it's like anything in life where there's 'loose' links of sorts eg. with gyms you may get knuckleheads in some but most are fine, with football thugs most prob don't comment crime barr that but some will, same with bikers, same with anything....any kind of 'sex industry' related area be it cyber wise or a real location though does probably run 'some' sort of 'attracting some dubious dudes' quota.... but just have to leave it to the police to catch any real bad guys and crack on with my own visits regardless in the meantime. The few parlours and indie's I use regularly all seem cool and I'm confident there's no trafficking or whatever but I can quite easily see why residents or authorities may take that view, or resort to that spin to get a closure, much as I indulge in WG's myself and support the safer, regulated end of the industry for both parlour girls and indies.

Lovely girls and always very friendly receptionists and that 'Clark Kent' guy seemed ok when I saw him and Sam herself in the car park once but killed themselves by bad location choice in my eyes, given they moved within a week or two of Palatine shutting also can't help but think they maybe rushed it rather than REALLY shopped about before moving but then I'm just guessing / may be wrong obviously.

One of Leech's female staff/colleagues actually used to dance at 'Caged Asylum' before that stopped so he can't be too much of a prude...
