snow...

With all this snow and traffic chaos have...

Chaps: had to change plans, cancel precious punts.

Girls: felt the pinch cost of canceltions, left parlours/flats early to make sure you get home?

Punters, imagine if you got snowed in with your lady, would she put you up?

It can go either way. Sometimes people can't travel so they decide to hire an escort instead. Incalls are definitely less popular though, since many people don't want to leave their house.

Punted over the weekend but dont live very far away so didnt have a problem.

Although car skidded about twice on minor roads. Whoever thought in MK that having brick roads was a good idea needs a slap.

Hopefully it wont get any worse....

For me I'm preferring incalls since going out into the dark depths of Cumbria and back with, the risk of pranging my car or not getting back isn't worth it right now.

I'm not alone in that either - other self employed folk are not wanting to risk the cost of injury or damage so are playing it safe.

Had a booked appointment today. Went to clear the ice off the car beforehand, car wouldn't start. Not enough time to call the RAC, so ended up going by bus/tube, took ages. In total, out of the house 4 hours, for a 1 hour punt.

At least I am not travelling by Eurostar:p

But I am getting concerned about my long distance travel arrangements over Christmas and may have to cancel them if this weather continues :D.

Snow doesn't usually last more than a week in this country so it could be gone by Christmas.

It norsed up my punting plans. I thought I'd drive over to north-west London yesterday and left at 1600 hours. The snow began and I decided to drive home first; a journey of eight miles and I didn't get in until 1930 hours. Aaaaargh. So I abandoned the backup plan of leaving the car at home and taking the tube. I took a temazapam and went to bed.

I'm thinking that it might be fun to try and punt on Xmas Day. Is anyone working?

Hope City airport flight to Nice tomorrow remains on schedule as I have a wedge of £s sunk in a trip to Babeville with 2 Hungarian stunners - fingers crossed!!!
