Blogs...

32 posts in this topic

So after a quick glance on another site at the blogs i find some of them awful especially the ones who chat on and on about how great they are and how they spent x amount in harrods today and how mr x spoilt them with new handbags ..yuck ! Money makes some people look cheap!

Im sure many of us have been treated now and again but to bang on in every blog about it seems very shallow

maybe just my view prehaps?

I quite agree with you.

I started a blog on aw just a couple of weeks ago..... purely to post info relating to the job..... I find that the main profile page gets skimmed through and regular updates on there are likely to be ignored.  A blog however may arouse curiosity if nothing else and is more likely to be read.

Waffling on about money and designer this that and the other is banal in my opinion.  Who gives a stuff how much your shoes cost...... or how many birds you feed in your garden.

Pretentious tripe may impress a tiny minority of men but it will be that...... tiny.

I always said I would not blog..... and still am not keen on them...... but hey ho I succumbed .

oh and...........  never mind knickers costing obscene prices...........

the latest ones in my gallery are from Asda.

:D

I know exactly the blog you are referring to in the first case though one of her previous blogs is actually a good example of where blogs can be useful - namely where she mentions she has had a boob job, something that could affect someones decision as to whether or not to book her. Tangentially the same girl could cause an entry in either (or both) of another couple of threads- namely the dressed or undressed one and the funny things happening on a meeting one - please ladies if you have recently had a breast enlargement and are still wearing a bra purchased prior to said surgery let th egentlement know it might be quite awkward before he spends five minutes fumbling around behind your back while kissing you ;)

I am afraid anyone who harps on about how well to do they are and how much they like spending their money tends not to get a sympathetic view from the majority of

readers. Any escort doing this on a blog is very foolish as it is more likely to prevent readers wanting to visit them than encourage them to do so and is therefore very negative publicity. I am not saying a blog should be about self publicity and many do use them the state their deeply held views on issues dear to their heart

regardless of weather these are populist views or not - and good on them for doing so. But to show yourself in a bad light just because of your shallowness and

through boasts about your lifestyle is just stupid.

Some blogs are dull and boring, while other are whimsical. All blogs contain some self - touting, just as the field reports where the punter flaunts about his recent outing. I do read the ladies' blogs because they give an incite into the lady, sometime even a peek into her personal life. The blogs also give me topics which we can talk about during the lull periods during an appointment.

Whimsical, or opinionated, future tour or holiday trips good fodder for blogs....definitely subjects that generate some small talk during the appointment.  How much you spent or how expensive the gift you recieved does tend to turn away prospective clients. But,some Ladies' maybe using such material in a blog to deter clients they wish not to see.

I was tempted to blog about my last gift from a client...a packet of jammy dodgers. I'm not really a jammy dodger type of lass, so they found a new home in the food bank of my local supermarket for someone else to enjoy.

I keep meaning to start a blog, but I don't have the flare for writing like many escorts seem to have. I'd end up ranting about something or another and would come across as a miserable bint. I enjoy reading blogs, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Wow, that's a bleak view! I'd like to think I'm a bit more than just an animated inflatable, but I may be deluding myself there.

Bit disenchanted with the job at the moment, Rebecca?

The Easter break is coming, yay! Hopefully the weather will improve, and you'll be full of the joys of spring again soon.

I have no problem with filling my WG blog with "cheap and shallow". I keep "profound and meaningful" for my private life.

By the way, chaps, there's this marvellous Dolce&Gabbanna handbag I've seen at Harrods..... ;-0

I do blog on and off and have done for some time. I only talk about what I have  been up to including any holidays or breaks I have had and how I enjoyed them. I blogged when I was looking for and moving into my flat. That resulted in lots of good wishes via email and when some gents came to the flat they even brought moving in presents. I was surprised by the response some blogs actually bring. I even bogged about another punter forum and the response that brought was amazing from SPs as well as SU. I do enjoy blogging though.

Becca: Its not just a post. I can understand that such kind of post can come from some idiots in UKP. (and even then they will be banned eventually for such common trite.... if they persist), but not from you.

You know yourself, that escorting, its go far beyond then "opening holes". unless your are blind mole, I can't understand why you felt to post it, even if its not your experience. Admit, its not? Assure me, please.

As for "Elite" "Exclusive", Courtesan", etc.  blogging about £400 room per day in hotels, or £2000 bags..I  am more shallow then fisherman float, so definitely would enjoy to read those types of the blogs. :-)

What in your opinion, WGs should blog about?

I suppose it really depends on who the blogs are aimed at.... I assume a wg's blog is meant for the guys to read..... potential new clients possibly?

Trying to impress readers... whether male or female.... with boasts of designer bags etc is indeed shallow in my opinion and the lady in question may argue that she is not attempting to impress a single person.....and in the grand scheme of things blogs like that are relatively harmless......

...... I think it will likely put off a lot of men...... but if the blogger is trying to attract the big spenders and deter blue collar workers then it may do a bit of good.

Personally I think those blogs read as cringeworthy........

My own reason for blogging is a world away from the blog first referred to  in this thread...

Uschi has her own style and I have mine............ chalk and cheese comes to mind.

We are both on an absolute par though when it comes to the sticky truth of the job we do.

I personally agree with the sentiment on here about it being a bit dull to hear about the latest episode in some glamorous global city, fine dinning, fine clothes, isn't this all amazing etc along with the ubiquitous selfie in the Michelin star restaurant or a bedroom shot getting ready. But I'd say that about any blog not just from a WG

I'm not anti blogging the have their place.done properly its a great way for a WG to craft ones image, accentuate that desire from clients and get across her own views style and expectations so potential punters have a better understanding. The WG know what they want out of it. I'm not saying its a crude marketing exercise but for many there is definitely that element and see nothing wrong with that. They know what hits home with their clients and have their own style. So for some it'll be regaling tales of how they were taken by two guys on a night out for others they'll be talking about more mundane things like public transport.

But hey I agree less Harrods stories please

That's certainly how I interpreted it. I didn't for one minute think you'd morphed into a UKP-esque misogynist!

I think it sounds like a showy off blog and along with the ones that talk about their wonderful. sexy, handsome clients... I expect it's an attempt to encourage rich, handsome and generous men which if it works then fine, fair play to her, but I wouldn't choose to read it myself.

I used to blog a lot, but have been a bit rubbish lately. The reasons I blogged were mainly for promotion. That is essentially the point of my website so of course it's going to be about promotion!  I try for a mix of naughty stories or snapshots for titillation and to treat regular readers/clients with new pics or more serious issues which some may skim read, but works well as demonstrating I am vaguely intelligent. I've also posted sex related things, both as information tools and to promote particular services and quirks of mine! Sometimes I do talk about random or silly things and maybe aspects of my non sex work life. So a bit of everything- that's why its called Minxipedia!

I've also (shock horror) written blogs for money which will explain why some of my posts have random Australian links in them! But I do try and incorporate the links into something relevant I want to talk about.

Clients often tell me they enjoy my blog and I keep getting complaints they I have been so bad at posting of late and I am actually quite proud of some of the things I written so it's not totally about promotion! :)

Ignore them! I knew it was a throw away comment and didn't make any judgments about you from it!

Of course escorts don't stick together- any excuse to make 'the competition' look bad!

I am off a generation that doesn’t see the need for a blog. I have no objection to them – and a bit of subtle self-promotion is fine – but reading them rarely enhances my perception of the writer!

There have been a few exceptions, but, as Lynn has said “Pretentious tripe may impress a tiny minority of men but it will be that...... tiny.” And a poorly maintained blog is a bit like a poorly maintained web site. If the last entry was, say, a year ago then my view is that the lady would be better served by deleting it altogether!

I do not think so at all, same as it has always been..  If you get upset about being challenged for saying that as an escort you open your holes ..end off!!! (even if a joke) then you are too sensitive.  It is just standard forum life really.

I have a blog and I enjoy writing it, it's an outlet for some of my naughty antics that go on and now and again and also it gives people an insight into your personality and what you enjoy in life.

My clients tell me they enjoy my entries but I actually write it as a memoir so one day when the stockings are hung up for good I have some sort of record of this time in my life. Nobody is forced to read it!

I once had an email from a chap I didn't know complaining my blog was not raunchy enough and that he thought some if it was boring and would be better off in a Sunday supplement! I couldn't believe it, my blog was being critiqued by some bloke who I had never met (to my knowledge) but felt he had the right to complain as he expects "dirtier" entries from an escort. Unbelievable! Like I say.....nobody is forcing you to read them!

I enjoy reading other ladies blogs too, some more than others but it's interesting to see how they portray themselves and what other interests they have outside of the sex world. I also like reading the naughty and kinky entires as well as writing my own when the mood strikes but then again, I am a bit of a pervert so that's hardly surprising!

I have zero interest in reading about what champagne someone is quaffing or what designer bags, shoes their client bought them. BORING!

I enjoy reading Ladies' blogs (well, most of them). In particular Lydia's and Pia's both of which are amusing as wellas enlightening. My particular Lady of the moment is on A.W. and her blogs are quite hilarious. She sets out some of her recent sex (sorry exploits) but never of course mentions names. I log on to her site every day just to read her blogs. One thing I have noticed (not wishing to offend any of you Ladies) is the fact that the best blogs come from the Ladies at the cheaper end of the market; by that I mean those under £150 an hour rather than those at the other end of the scale i.e. £250 plus. I can't afford these Ladies anyway (expect a lot of derisory remarks)
