I have just had a Facebook friend recommendation for a lady I have seen but I don't know how it has made the connection. I don't have any contact details saved on any device.

Not a facebook person, but I do have an account, I had same thing a couple of weeks ago, had a couple of ex WG's, a parlour boss.....so I hid the profile, only viewable to those on my list, mind you I had to get some one to do it for me.

Something to remember is not to use a punting phone that has Whatsapp on it, dump it fast!

Yeah I had this happen too - I put it down to WhatsApp being owned by Facebook. Blocked the WG in question, obviously.

social media is very insecure and very intrusive of whats on your device.

be very careful with social media if you have naughty secrets.

better still dont use it.

and that includes linkedin

If you have your phone number on Facebook this can happen.

Many times I've put a number through Facebook and it comes up with the person.

Very risky!

Don't have WhatsApp, have no friends in common, it was not the WG who sent the suggestion it was one of lots suggested by Facebook with others being friends of friends or not.

Social Media is a pain.. A client of mine put up a comment on my website recently only for his picture to be attached to his comment.. He panicked not surprisingly but I have to approve all comments so it never saw the light of day.  This was related to him being on another Wordpress related site where his picture was up and as my site is Wordpress it picked up the picture.

Did you email her from your email address by any chance? I have had suggestions on Facebook purely by them contacting me in my hotmail account.

Did the WG have her email address showing in her profile or was it through the AW facility to email her?

bit of advice, when doing anything related to punting, be it surfing for a punt, making a booking or what ever, l never use the PC/laptop hard drive, I use a Live copy of Linuxmint on DVD, when I'm done I nuke the browser history as well, I never use the installed operating system, not even installed Linuxmint.

That is all too tech savvy for me, I just have a personal use pad.

its easy, just go to the Linuxmint website, pick a flavour you like and download to a dvd, you now have a live disk, stick it in your drive and restart laptop or pc, on mine keep pressing F12 untill you get dropdown menu, pick start from DVD CD whatever and away you go, should pick up your wifi on its own, then when you log out nothing is left on your hard drive.

If you are using the same number for punting as you are for Facebook that could be why, or it could be that her number she's using for escorting is the same one she has on her Facebook.

Other than that I have no idea. As suggested friends are usually someone you have interacted with, have mutual friend with, or you've spoken to each other via Whatsapp.

Try copying and pasting her number into Facebook search box and see what comes up

I registered with Facebook simply to see what is going on.  Several months ago I noticed I had several hundreds of friends from Indonesia, mainly teens.  That was the only day I stayed longer on Facebook, to try and un-friend all these people.

Then why did you ok them in the first place?

I never gave the OK to anyone, I just noticed I had all these 'friends' after years of not logging in.  Complete mystery.  But again we are talking about Facebook and their ways.

It amazes me how many clients actually use their personal phone to book escorts. So much so that I now pop their number into Facebook as a security measure incase I know them.

I've just done it with about 9 different numbers who have called me today and 6 out of the 9 were on Facebook.

One of which had 11 mutual friends with me and I am very good friends with a few people he is friends with. Another one had a public Facebook with his wife and kids pictures all over it, these men actually don't realise that their numbers are connected like this.

A few weeks back I had someone message me for a booking and as I put his number through Facebook turns out he was best friends with my cousin..

I've called them all back and told them that they need to be using a discrete phone and not their personal phone because it's connected to Facebook!

Word of warning for anyone DONT contact an escort using your personal number and DONT add your number to your Facebook account. X

I must admit I've gotten a bit lazy and use my personal phone to contact wg's but as I've punted with regulars almost exclusively for well over a year I'm not overly bothered. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter, and any of the other information grabbing sites I'm on don't get my number, except for whatsapp which is unavoidable.

I regularly google my mobile number and my name but nowt ever comes up so I think I'm safe.

I agree though that a separate punting phone makes sense.

You can do plenty on an ipad but not so much with what you were suggesting. No SD card slot either.

Best hopes of browsing the net without prying eyes looking at your history etc., is use an app that deletes everything as soon you close it - there are several about.

There are also 'secret' apps where you can hide photos, contacts etc.

To use a usb / dvd type operating system as you were suggesting I think a pc / laptop would be the best option.
