Keeping It Secret - Sps

29 posts in this topic

There have been threads on here over the years about how girls mainly have to keep their occupation secret from those around them. In the last year or so I've heard another variation of this problem - making lots of money!

If we take a hypothetical escort; mid thirties, divorcee, two kids, now a mature university student. She starts escorting and makes good money, more than she had expected. She would like to get rid of her old car, spend more money on her kids, buy some new clothes, holidays etc. However she is worried that if she does spend, her family, ex and friends will question how she can afford it.

I've heard this type of tale from a number of girls, mainly older ones, and not really been able to provide a solution other than to invest in the future.

Any suggestions?

Ah the money laundering problem, I understand this especially with regards to divorce settlements, as it may cause them to look in detail into her financial records. I used to know one wg who told her family she worked as a freelance IT consultant, and whenever she got asked to fix someones computer she said she specialised in Networks and couldn't help. She found that being a "freelance it consultant" gave her the excuse to work whenever, explain reasonable money, and travel. Also as self employed she didn't have to say who she worked for, so never had employer issues.

Not sure if this helps, but bear in mind this girl wasn't a divorcee, and the WG in your example may have perjury issues if they did this, and they would need to watch out on the fraud front too.

Yes, I think quite a number of girls who are over 30 are divorcees and have those issues. I know girls who say they model or do promo work to cover extra income and irregular working hours.

It's 'her' money!  She doesn't have to explain how she got it.  They 'wouldn't' like it if she questioned them where they got their money from when they made a purchase.  If she wanted to say something, she could say something simple like she saved and invested carefully over the years, and now she's enjoying the rewards!

Not as simple as that. If the girl is a divorcee her ex will know her circumstances as will her teenage kids and perhaps family and friends. As PC said above there is also what financial arrangements she made with her ex. if she has been "poor" for a few years suddenly going on a spending spree would look odd.

Yes and ex's on both sides can conceal things, it's not only women who go into the sex industry and their husbands sometimes do too.

I haven't a clue what to do in this situation because I've nothing to hide anyone who would notice knows, . I do have an old car but that is because I am happy with it and don't feel the need to buy a newer one. People often use finance to buy cars, so it's not usually their money anyway.

I've came across people where their (going through divorce) partner didn't know about their 'other' assets, these can be well hidden, I've seen it, no matter the 'know' financial circumstances of that person.

Many of the girls will have had some sort of money before escorting, so I think your 'poor' example above would be more rare.

There's the obvious option of spending 'carefully' when making a new purchase.  One or a few things bought at a time, not loads of things to avoid attention.

She could say she had a big win or inherited it.

With the above example you have used Pennine Rover, it would need much more thinking and planning (the ex being the obvious concern), but still very possible for her to eventually enjoy 'her' money.

A lady can tell family and friends whatever she wants to to explain the extra cash, when it comes to things like fraud and perjury (only applicable if something goes to court) then all that matters legally is what she puts on her tax returns. Its not illegal to tell people you do something you dont really do is it. Its not money laundering to declare escorting on your returns but tell people that you work in IT

Regarding divorce settlements, what a lady earns after her divorce shouldnt affect the cash she was awarded before she started earning that. Also, when it comes to child maintenance , its the husbands income that decides that not the wife surely, he should put his fair share in regardless of her income or lack of it, they dont become LESS his responsibility just because she manages to find a way to earn decent money.

Why should she spend it? Why not salt it away and let the money build?

I bought myself a very nice car last month. Anyone who doesn't know that I'm an escort is told I won it from a crossword competition :)

Made up stories have the potential to bring their own problems.  Enquirers might be a bit persistent and want more info especially closer friends.

Ideally a lie would be believable without intriguing the recipient.  With an expensive purchase why not say credit, it's common enough.

A wg told me she was buying a new car, and really wanted to get herself a white Merc but settled for something more down to earth so as to not raise the suspicions of her family who knew she wouldn't be able to afford one on the income from the job they thought she had!

That is a novel idea and perfectly feasible.

It could only be used once perhaps......... unless you are known as one of those full time comp addicts!

Folk have won holidays/cars/huge cash sums all through their competition obsessions.

There is also the lotto.........  thousands of winners every week.... and it doesn't have to be the millions...... a few thousand will do as a cover story for a new car or cruise holiday.

My suggestion PR is that they should get a job!!!

That is not as controversial as it may seem. Several of the ladies or party girls I know are part time indies who have jobs such as house keeping manager at a hotel, admin assistant, hairdressers, nail tech, beauticians, nurses, careers, cleaners, waitresses etc or one I saw recently running a burger stall.

By having a job then it makes it a lot easier to explain having some money and less likely someone will report you to HMRC.

If a girl can't or won't get a job out of the sex industry then porn starring or working on adult TV channels will bring in money which can be taxed. I can think of at least 3 or 4 girls I know of who have done some TV work.

I think the issue isn't HMRC - afterall they can simply decare their income from escorting (and claim things like condoms, toys etc against their tax as well) as the taxman doesn't care if they are an escort. The issue is what to tell those you _can't_ tell what you are actually doing.

The Lottery is actually a good get out - especially if you set it up in advance by indicating you have started doing it in advance of your windfall. Make it clear you haven't won a life changing amount (e.g. 5 plus bonus might be ok, all 6 would probably be too much). If you also say you are trying to be careful with it and not blow it all you have justification for having a few nice holidays over a period of time etc.

The Lottery is almost perfect. Everyone knows what it's about so no extra questions will be asked, other than how much.  The answer to that can be "That's my secret" without surprising anyone.  I think the rest is confidential.

I've read the posts and my opinion is why should a wg, or anyone for that matter, have to explain to family/friends where they get their money from ?

If I buy a new car I don't expect someone to as where I got the money from. If they did my answer would be "Mind your own f*****g business"

Well, it is normal for one's family to know what you do to earn a living. It would not be normal to reply to an enquiry of that kind from a mother or a brother in the way you suggest.

They have to have a story. And the story must be compatible with their known qualifications and also with their tenor of life.

So far I think the lottery idea seems the best solution.

That analogy is more on par with organ harvesting than escorting. Us ladies are merely for hire. I get to take all of my body home when time is up ;)

Sorry Jasmine! It wasn't intended as a real analogy, just as a joke, hence the two smileys. :)  :)

One of my punters Mrs is one.Was talking to someone once asking where he was.Turns out he was on another hol which she'd won.So far,on top of cash, vouchers, various electronics has won several cars and more holidays then i can shake a stick at.

When i first heard about her winnings i thought it was cobblers,no one could win like that.then one day he brought her in with him.She sat down,he popped her a drink over, then she got a carrier bag out which she promptly dumped out over the table. There were literally hundreds of entry forms cut out off various papers, magazines, vouchers, downloaded. She then spent her whole time filling them in,doing those weird little tie breaker slogan things etc.

Thats the opperative word. Its a decent plan but does need some work.Too many people are nosey, and just as many nosey ones follow the lottery. If you say you won 5 and the bonus they'll ask you when, then how much and theres always one smartarse who'll either know what the payout was or will check so you'd need to know numbers, date and amount by heart.

That part's easy enough to get around as you say by doing a little homework.

IMO a potential downside with the lottery plan is that if any of our close family members had any kind of decent win, they'd share some of the cash with others in the family, that's just how we've always been.

I suppose this is because it's seen as an unexpected windfall.  My own brother is very considerable better off than me due to education, career choice, astute property deals etc.  I don't feel entitled to a share.  I wouldn't be surprised though, that if I won on the lottery there would be mutterings from the family who would feel entitled.

A claimed lottery win doesn't have to be accompanied by details, people can think what they want. The important thing is that it's a plausible explanation that requires very little back up.
