I think it's safe to assume that it's not top of most of their priority lists!

But then why would you give ANY such information to them in the first place?

Punting phone, punting email address, pay cash - doesn't really matter what happens to it, does it?

Agreed, although I don't always practise what I preach as regards a punting phone!

A second phone would be part of the punting kit for most regular guys, Your normal phone would have call logs, billing and text trails,

As to Agencies and Escorts they would keep the number and name, maybe an address if outcall was needed. The paranoia dial should be at the low setting for this ^_^

Can we be confident agency's keep information about both clients and their girls (which is just as important given they will have more personal data about them) secure? we don't want a scare story like we hear when government CDs or harddrives with people's information is found in a skip or stolen!

All my IT equipment, including telephones, are passworded and guarded. This means I don't leave them lying around unattended or unsecured and I do not let any other person use them.

The difference is that we're required by law to supply various arms of Government with true data about ourselves and then have to trust them to guard it - as you say, their record in that is not good.

However, if you read my post above (#2) you'll see that it's entirely up to us WHAT information we give to girls / agencies. There is no legal issue in having "nom-de-punting" IDs!  After all, I would wager that your real name isn't "MisterLukey" ;)

Quite honestly, anyone who gives their true data to anyone else without having to, is remarkably stupid and deserves what they get.

Especially considering that it takes  5 minutes to set up a new email address (and that's free) and not much longer to get a spare SIM card which can be had very cheaply.

Only last week I bought a spare phone from a "well-known retailer"  for £5. I paid cash and declined to divulge my name and address.

So...no excuses, I'm afraid

Mr The Bear is right but I do hope anyway that agencies have implemented encryption & password for their databases... already when looking for indies and doing so checking if the site I've found is legit (i.e. No stolen pics, etc...) you have a lot of times really funny but also very sad discoveries :(

"We never comment on security issues" - HM Government and I hope all agencies and indies.
