How Does Viagra Work/when To Use It?

40 posts in this topic

I have my first overnight coming up and am worried about performing.

I thought that Viagra gave men a stuffy even though they don't cum, but now read that you have to be aroused.

So, at age 57, and well able to get a stuffy, it doesn't seem to help me?

Viagra etc. will only work if you are sexually aroused, but may help you prolong an erection providing you are aroused.

If that's what you want, Cialis may work better as it's effects are supposed to last longer but I haven't tried it personally.

Worry is a definite passion killer, and having had several overnights worrying about performance doesn't enter into it for me. You've got all the time in the world, and there's no pressure to perform unless you literally want to be at it all night long. Remember to save some energy for the morning, nothing better than a wake up session :)

You'll probably get a stuffy alright .. a stuffy nose, one of the common side effects

Personally, would not take them as give me severe headaches as side effects.

I don't understand about you worrying about performance.

Having a overnight means you are more relaxed can cum at your own pace do other sexual

activities and enjoy female companionship.

You state at your age , erection is not a problem.

Don't use it as you have never experimented with it before.

Instead speak openly with the lady discuss what you expect from the overnight.

I would be cautious about using if you don't actually have a medically diagnosed erection problem!

In my experience men who have taken Viagra find it really hard to come and it all ends up being a bit tiresome and frustrating.

I tried viagra just to see if it would be of any use to me - I thought it might give me a ram rod erection and be a bit of an aphrodisiac

but all it did was give me one big headache - pity cause I spent £80 on 4 pills and now I am stuck with them

...

But surely if you're with a girl or woman you fancy you will get aroused sooner or later? Why would you not? And especially with what she'll do to help you!

Then you can use a pill if you feel you're not becoming erect.

Like a previous poster said, my doctor advised Cialis instead when I asked about Viagra and told me to take it about 20 minutes in advance. But I've delayed and haven't bought any yet and might never, so can't tell you how I got on.

Not relevant to this thread but I wish a pill would come along to improve my chances of a second orgasm within the hour or two.

I suppose though that I'm really asking for an "anti getting older pill".

I am 50 and have been using Sildenafil, a cheaper version of viagra but as far as I know just as effective. You can buy 4 25g tablets (the smallest dose) from an online pharmacist like Dr Fox and it's not that expensive and they arrive very quickly (in discrete packaging!). I take one half an hour before and it works for me. I've never had side effects and it certainly doesn't stop me coming (only wish it would but it makes me even more easily  aroused). I would definitely give it a try -if you find you need more than the 25g dose you can always take 2 tablets at once but if you start with the lower dose that should lessen the chance of getting side effects.

For me the effects were guaranteed stiffy with minimal arousal, staying hard for a log time and round 2 being an almost cert, taking a longtime to come, a stuffy nose, slight flushing and a mild headache. Cialis is sposed to work for 24 hours, but it did nothing for me, but I found Viagra still had a strong effect the following morning.

Personally I found a better solution was to look at less porn & try to be less of a wanker.

1/8th of a 100mg pill works for me with very little side effects, and the effect lasts for about 2 days.

Cutting them into 8 is difficult, but I normally end up with 6 that are of sufficient size to work, and the rest plus the dust makes up a useable 7th.

It works by activating the muscle that closes the out blood supply to the penis, so the blood pressure inflates it, and the muscle keeps it inflated.

The effects take about 17 minutes to work.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I'll give it a miss and let nature lead. If I manage two cums in the evening, one in the wee hours and another in the morning, I'll be happy.

Plus, I can always give oral and digital pleasure without a stuffy!

Why do some guys make such a meal of this.

Go see your GP and have a chat - it's all in confidence! If he/she agrees that you have erectile dysfunction (mine didn't take much persuading) then you can now get Sildenafil on NHS prescription. I get 4 x 100mg and cut them in half.

There are health risks and if your GP won't prescribe them, then perhaps you really shouldn't be buying them on the internet.

One of the side effects of Viagra is that it can make all your postings appear in a green colour .  Better to go with Levitra , where the worst that can happen is your signature changes from an interesting Peter Green quote to a UKIP advert in a blue script  .

I don't get the headaches and I only need an hour of "assistance" at London rates, so I'm happy with with the blue pill and suffering the green font.

Interesting about the UKIP thing - I do think we should close the floodgates to immigrants, but under current rules at least the majority of them are here perfectly legitimately - unlike most of the TG's. How do these girls get in?

Anyway, my signature is only temporary - after Thursday I'll have to think up something new.

If you get erections naturally OK when you want them - DON'T use any of the PDE5 inhibitors.

Question - this might be really stupid so please dont all laugh if it is, but can you take any of the above mentioned brands after cuming for the first  time & do they still work for round 2? I sometimes struggle for a 2nd round & anything to help we would be really useful

Make sure you take them with a glass of water. A client got them stuck in his throat and had a stiff neck for days.

Why do you say that Kay?

Because I think they mess with your system and will likely cause problems in the future. Like, would you take an antihypertensive if you had normal blood pressure, or an antidepressant if you weren't depressed? Anything that unnecessarily affects your chemistry is just not a good idea.

Plus, I think when it comes to 'recreational', or at least semi-medical use, most of the effect is psychological.

I read somewhere that Cialis has been linked to mood swings and has seriously messed up some heads, although not permanently.

I'd have thought they'd be particularly useful in those circumstances. Many of us have no trouble getting it up, it's the prodigious performances of our youth we can't manage.

I can't confirm your specific question, though, as I have no interest at all in coming twice.

There is a good alternative to the pill route. I used to use it when I was punting, (alas at 79 I have given it up) It is called Caverject and is an injection into the penis. Many of you will be saying 'ouch' at this point but it realy doesnt hurt especially, if like me, you are an insulin dependant diabetic and used to giving yourself injections. It is highly effective and without the side effects of the little blue pills. I used ti inject it after a session of foreplay to give the lady her fun and then it works after about 10 mins. You have to be trained to use it but that is part of the fun especially if the trainer is a nice looking lady nurse. :D

I have often thought about viagra but for a slightly different reason. I sadly find premature ejaculation a consistant problem when excited by my visits to working girls. Attempts to slow myself down by thinking of my grannies budgie however mean I quickly go flaccid so I was rather hoping that Viagra would keep it up, so to speak. Interesting to hear that some people struggle to cum with its use though. Maybe I could use it to stay at the pump a bit longer?
