8 posts in this topic

Hi, I have a friend looking for short term let in London for escort work. Who would be a good agency to use for this? Thanks Larry

A good agency is one that does not know what the property is going to be used for. From time to time people in the trade will offer properties suitable for working from and from time to time you can find adverts in the Punternet Market Square forum, you could also look in AW's (think its called) other services or something like that, when I get time I will sniff it out.

You could also get your friend to have a look on saafe as sometimes flats are advertised on there.

The agency doesnt matter, the only things that matter are accessability to the apartment and the price. The agencie are not sitting watching the flats to see how you use it but you need one without a concierge and with a buzzer system unless you are on the ground floor and want to let people in the door yourself plus she needs to make a profit re price

She is nervous about using a flat advertised on punternet or adultwork and wants one from an agency.

Any rental agencies people recommend?

I explained I thought it would be very difficult to get a short term rental from any of the big agencies e.g. foxtons without lots of paperwork and proof of earnings etc.

I was going to recommend she try hotels or airbnb.

All help is much appreciated!!

Does she have a deposit?

Does she have a day job / proof of income as with out those she is fucked especially in london . I had to give bank statements and wage slips as proof.

She'd be better off going for a serviced apartment. And the obvious choice for ease of working would be the large well known block in South Kensington. They'd be around the same price as a short let in London, plus she wouldn't have the hassle of all the paperwork as Rebecca has mentioned. It is a nightmare going through an estate agent. For a short let it may not be as bothersome as going for a long term tenancy, but nevertheless they'll probably ask for a hefty deposit.

No its not. If she wants a flat for a couple of days or a week she doesnt need any paperwork as you pay up front, she just needs to put her real details on the form. You rent them online in the exact same way you rent a hotel room, no more paperwork needed than that. You can rent them like that for longer than a week too plus she an ask them if the flat is available longer in case she wants to extend her stay, sometimes it is sometimes they say no but we will have another flat nearby come available etc. Its that easy. Plus you pay the rent upfront weekly. You can get really good deals for services short let apartments on late rooms and other similar sites

You can have long term agreements too, no credit check, they charge a higher rate obviously to cover the risk and for the added convenience
