I Need Your Help!

16 posts in this topic

Hi all. As you probably know, I have been fighting the Swedish model for two years in Northern Ireland now and in spite of my best attempts, it came into law on June 1st. I have instructed Counsel and am ready to raise a judicial review at the High Court in Belfast. It's going to cost £7,000 to get heard, and that's where you come in.

Please don't assume that because it's NI, it won't affect you, it will. I'm hoping the case will go all the way to Europe so we can have the Swedish model struck down, once and for all and the state will leave consenting adults ALONE.

Here's how you can donate -

There's a fund raising page set up here - https://www.gofundme.com/3rikpowhich will be a Paypal payment. (Ultimate goal on the page is set at 30k because I just don't know how far it will go, and I'm also raising a Supreme Court challenge in the Republic of Ireland.)

If you prefer, you can donate via online banking to the following Santander account - 090132 33624686.

I will of course, pop back here and let you know how it's going. I won't stop until this battle is won, you have my word on that.

Many, many thanks.

LL xx

You have had my twopence, LL, and I hope that many will respond to your invitation to contribute. What you're trying to do could change the face of legislation on paid sex, if you win. The very best of luck, ma'am.

Good evening folks. As promised I'm popping back in to give you an update. The first stage of my challenge has been set down for hearing on Feb 19th at the High Court in Belfast. A massive thank you to all who supported me, I couldn't do this without you. I'll keep you up to date as we go along.

Laura, I  have been thinking about this as I was jogging. I am conscious that my freedom to book escorts is dependent on people who are prepared to battle it out in the courts.

Not just my freedom, but also the frredom of women who choose  to work in the  industry. So firstly, thanks.

Secondly i have a question

For different reasons, cultural, social, job etc we hide behind anonymity.

My question is, are there drop off points, where I could leave cash which could then be transferred to fund your legal costs. Those points could include agencies, escorts, voluntary groups etc? If there are, I would be happy to give them the cash.  I have posted this in a thread, rather than e mailing you directly, because there maybe other members of PN who feel the same as me.

If the answer to my question is YES. I will then PM and tell you the areas I can travel to, and you can advise me of addresses where I can drop of the money.

If there is a person / organisation that you trust and who can take the cash, and then bank it in your account, I will then drop off some money with them, and then message you to advise how much I provided in the ,"brown envelope".

I know this is all sounds  reminiscent of cold war spy films, but lets face it, we most of us operate in the shadows, using an alias, hiding our faces as we enter agencies, and dealing in cash.

This of course may be a completely bonkers idea, but i wanted to offer a way to help.

Here, here! Just seen you on bbc news, high five to you. What they are saying is rubbish. Yes there are girls out there that are in dangerous positions but then on the other hand which they are completely ignoring that this job is what we want to do, is an amazing job where we meet some wonderful, genuine people and it empowers us as women. It forms us as business women and allows us to do what we love and get paid for it! I will donate some, sadly work has been slow lately and need to cover rent so will be a little bit, but I will come back and donate more, we need to get the world into the 21st century! X

And congratulations on being so restrained in the face of extreme provocation from Lynette Burrows.

Hiya LauraLee  :)

So this is probably a really stupid question (I'm well-versed in asking those), but how has the whole "Brexit" thing changed things for your case, if at all?  I can imagine it might be putting a spanner in the works, but hopefully for the better.

Oh, and I can't thank you enough for the work you've done over the years.  xx

Maybe you can ask an escort you know and trust to do this for you?  If she has her phone with her, you can give her the cash and she can send the payment then and there so you know it's been done?  Just an idea.
