Why Do Loads Of Scottish Escorts Insist On

31 posts in this topic

putting things like "100% SCOTTISH!!!!!!" on their profiles? I don't see many English escorts putting the equivalent on their profiles and I don't think I've seen a single Romanian escort who has put "I AM 100% ROMANIAN!!!" on her profile. But scottish escorts seem to put this on a lot as if they think that somehow makes them better than escorts who aren't scottish? Or is it because scottish clients tend to prefer scottish escorts and the escorts are doing that for them?

I've seen similar statements by British women. Having heard that some clients do prefer someone who is British or English, then I do state this in my summary, however I hate the overuse of 100% or whatever (such as 110% genuine!???), so I would never use that bit.

I cannot stand the term and I am thinking: 'yeah, I know, you are superior to the rest'.

My maths teacher always used to give us low marks if we said 150% for example: mathematically it does not exist.  You can say one and a half though.  Their incorrect terms always make me chuckle.

Think its got something to do with punters getting fed up with making phone calls for details and speaking to a UK voice only to find when they arrive the WG is not the person on the phone and speaks little English.

I know of one operation where the phone is answered by someone who is hundreds of miles away from where the WG is located.

I can't answer for Scottish women, but certainly native nationality is a useful thing to mention especially when you are in an area full of foreign escorts. I don't say the % thing, but I do mention I am English or British because there are a lot of clients out there who prefer to see someone British. I'd guess it is because they feel these women are less likely to be trafficked or have a pimp or because they prefer to see someone with good English or a shared culture.

I wouldn't say it was about being superior or thinking they are 'better' it's just a marketing thing in the same way many women use their nationality to evoke a certain notion in a potential clients head because there are stereotypes about nationality.

Of course there are also plenty of men who might avoid British escorts and prefer women from other regions of the world  as is well documented on these pages!

No it doesn't bother me. The maths angle is nonsense as it is a linguistic device of emphasis.

If you think Scots escorts do it more it may be a sense of pride on their part or it has just become a habit.

I know of some ladies who tour in Scotland from England and obviously many EE ladies go up there so it does identify the escort as Scottish born and bred and of course Scotland's population is relatively very small so the escort number is as well.

I also enjoy chat, so language is important for me. Could be Black British, British Asian, White Brit, Aussie kiwi etc.

Not to say, ive not had good banter with girls who speak English as a second language. Once met Brazilian dancer who was reading children's literature to improve her English.

Did make a mistake praising English girls to what turned out to be a Scottish girl. She told me she was Scottish but lived in England since she was a kid - so no accent. She responded in the best way by showing her skills

I guess the scottish escorts are extremely proud of the fact they are scottish, but is the uppercase letter and multiple exclamation marks really necessary?

Well you mean upper case letters plural as the initial S should be upper case so you get it wrong twice. Escort profiles aren't about the accuracy of one's written English, they are about advertising yourself and making an impact - and do you see adverts on TV, in magazines etc slavishly following correct written English rules???

That was a typo

Twice with the S and once with letter instead of letters... a trio of typos

I'm a 217% sure that one reason for the stated '100% Scottish'  is nothing more simple than the girl wanting to draw a distinction between them and EE/overseas girls.

They are just trying to stand out from the ever growing crowd. , I put English as oppose to British, I also put 100% indie whereas I could just put indie. Give the girls a break, they know some guys like scots girls, advertising the fact is no different to advertising anything else about ourselves

I feel its the same as letting potential clients know you are brunette or busty or slim or whatever.I find alot of clients do want to know your ethnicity so its just giving them the information.I get asked alot what nationality I am.I don't feel superior to ladies who aren't English I only care about giving people info about myself so they can make an informed decision about booking me.

Scottish wgs are pretty rare, hence much in demand, hence adverts bringing ethnicity to your attention.

Maybe it's because some men find the accent to be a turn-on. I once described in a Punternet thread Laura MacKenzie (sadly retired) as 'my favorite tartan tart'. She loved it!

I can agree finding it a turn on.

I have a lovely Scotland regular who quarterly works in the West Midlands and his accent can drive me crazy! One of my favourites

The bigger issue for me is to know that I am speaking to a lady whose first language is English. There is nothing wrong with EE girls or any nationality or ethnicity. It's all down to no surprises. If I am looking for Scot/Welsh/Irish/English then to be greeted by a tick European accent is scary. Conversely if a EE accent is expected, a Scottish accent would be a surprise.

All comes down to what it says on the tin. That is why if it says the country but not the nationality I avoid the lady.

p.s. This is my first post so greetings to everyone.

It's relatively common in Ireland to say that you're Irish, simply because there aren't that many Irish escorts around. I also want clients to know that they can have a lovely accent to listen to when they meet me!

I once asked a Glasgow girl if she'd suck my plums.

She said one piece of fruit a day was quite enough.

I told her I like a woman with a nice tattoo. She said she's not Elizabeth II.

She told me to hop it and get my coat, but I'm from Newcastle and don't even have a jumper.

I always try to point out that I am Irish, because I know clients tend to find the accent attractive.

Also the fact that in Ireland you get many girls advertising they are Irish but they are anything but Irish (usually Romanian or other nationalities).

Surely, once the potential client will talk to them on the phone, he will realise that she is talking with East European accent. (Event though Romanian talking in English with some kind of weird form of Italian accent).

Still: if like me they always can impersonate Irish accent. Not sure it will work though. When I do that, I sound like an Irish traveler, lol (similar to Brad Pitt in the Snatch movie)
