What music do you like to hear whilst you are 'getting down to business' Personally I like slow RNB sexy music!

I understand everyone has different taste but you boys say to create the ambience you need music.. so what music do we need to make you leave with a smile?

Crystal, as an oldie posting on here, but not within the punting fraternity as a whole, may I ask what age group the music you mention is aimed at? Brought up on the Beatles, Stones etc and able to accommodate light classics and some jazz, I don't think I know of RNB whatever that is or whoever they are.

I spend quite a bit of my time in pubs (social and business) and the general brand of 'music' that bombs out from the machines these days is putrid. There are pubs that simply because of that I wouldn't enter for social/recreational purposes, and if some of the same was on in a parlour or a wg's room I wouldn't be back - it might even be that rarest of occasions, one when I would walk.

I ask the question almost as a means of trying to appreciate what the age grouping is of clients, and who is the music for, them or the wg?:)

It's all about matching your hip thrusts to the beat :). Here's a good example of a song where the rhythm gets faster and faster: :D

Well I am not Crystal but obviously she is asking what the punters want and many of them will be not as old as you - and me; don't take any of this rudely!!

So often the girl's choice will sut the punter too.

But 'RNB' is just the modern take on the rhythm and blues you and I grew up on and which inspired the Beatles and Stones in their youth.

To answer Crystal, anything is better than a tinny radio but moody, intense music is nice, as epitomised by Prince - Diamonds and Pearls (came to my attention watching a more sensual type of striptease many years ago...).

not local radio. listening to some DJ prattling on, or worse doing a phone in, is bad.

i would copy any cd's cos no-one else will respect them. or cut your own from your ipod tracks.

oh, music for me? Bit of Queen please!

RnB: soul music minus the soul plus jerky beats all mutliplied by tuneless caterwauling, to these ears anyway :)

Probably great in nightclubs, but generally excrutiating in any other environment, although I do like a bit of Alicia Keys in measured doses (is she RnB?) :D

I agree with the gist of your post. It's only been used during a handful of my punts and it's been ok, but if the 'music' that belches out of the supermarket speakers were to be used I'd leg it!:)

Easy middle of the road stuff for me, but I did enjoy some South American pipe music during a few sessions of very sexy body to body massage some years ago, and I'm still not sure if the pleasure of the massage etc, overcame my senses or whether I truly enjoyed the music!:D

Can't say I'm really bothered about "music in the rooms" but, for me, if it's there it would have to be very much backgroundd music that added to the ambience.

Best thing I can find on YouTube at short notice is this:
