Fake adverts / cock teasing

17 posts in this topic

I am posting here to see if anyone else has started to see this phenomenon. I travel a lot around the UK. I am encountering a lot more people (have no idea if they are real women or not) posting fake adverts, esp on "that" site. The scale of the problem varies according to location and it's always "British" escorts that are fake.

I'll give some detail to explain.

Being a long term punter, I am very cautious about meeting a new girl. I prefer to remain with one or two ladies whom I know and with whom I have a good relationship. Sadly, there's a high churn rate of escorts in the industry, so on a regular basis I need to find someone new. I like to engage with the prospective lady first, getting to know her by messaging. We all know that there is some element of falsehood in adverts (e.g. age, ethnicity, photos).

However, in the past few years I have noticed an increase in "girls" who are "advertising" with no intention of meeting. This past year it's become really bad to the point that I am wondering if there is more to it than some kids getting a cheap thrill. As I said, it's all around adverts from "British" ladies. Most of us, after exchanging some messages, can work out if someone really is from the UK or not. The vocabulary and localisms give it away. The people messaging are very clearly British. They will exchange messages and arrange meetings. When the time comes and she's "on her way" or needs to supply the address, nothing happens. Some parts of the country are particularly bad. For example, in Carlisle this past year I have found only 1 genuine "British" girl (Amber), who sadly had to stop working when her extended family found out about her escorting! However, every single Eastern European service provider has been genuine and the meeting gone ahead as planned.

Here is an example to show what I mean: I had a "local lady" who I was messaging with a view to a long term relationship in order to replace a lovely Polish lass who was getting married and left the industry. We exchanged several messages. We seemed to get on very well. We agreed to meet. From the first attempt to meet, in total she rescheduled around 12 meetings and we never met. Some meetings were very early that involved me getting up at 6:30 and travelling for an hour to a part of town where she was "on her way" to meet me. I would be left waiting for an hour only to finally receive a "sincere" apology with some plausible excuse for not arriving (e.g. transport). "She" would then follow up later with messages keen to "make it up" to me and sufficiently sexual content to give the impression that she was keen and very sorry to have let me down. So we would arrange the next meeting only for that too to be either be cancelled, re-arranged or she simply wouldn't reply until after the suggested times, then come back with "sorry I missed the message".

I eventually started playing the game back and arranged meetings that I had no intention of going to. I would "arrive" and be "waiting" for her, etc, and of course the same things happened, same excuses.

This has happened in various forms with nearly every "local" girl. Most recently this past week a "local lady" in Carlisle ("Natalia") has been messaging and arranging meetings and saying what she would do, etc, only to come up with one excuse after the other for not meeting. "Her" latest trick was wanting me to send her a selfie, although "she" refuses to send one to me. If that's not a big red warning light of a hoax then what is? Get some bloke to send his picture to an anonymous stranger who also has messages of wanting to hire a girl for sex. DUH! Carlisle is the worst area that I have encountered but I have also found it in Dorset, the Midlands and East Anglia, although to be fair not quite as extremely as in Cumbria.

So I am posting this to see how many other punters are encountering this problem. Is this some sort of new cyber crime? Is it some kind of new thrill seeking? Maybe some gangs trying to force out local ladies through discrediting them? Or perhaps some organisation trying to sucker in punters for some reason? Police, religious group, feminist activists or similar?

What could possibly be motivating this problem? Surely it costs money to advertise? It's effort to run these hoaxes, right?

Ok, there may be some crackpots who get off toying with men, maybe it's a new kind of "snap chat" with people getting off on this kind of messaging? But on the scale that I am seeing it?

Given that it seems to vary by areas of the country, I am wondering if maybe there are gangs operating who are trying to put the local ladies out of business by running these scams? For example, I know that when I am next in Carlisle, I will look for someone Romanian or Polish as these are the only ones that seem to be genuine. The "locals" have nearly all proven to be hoaxes. Could some sort of "organised syndicate" be behind this to drive business to a certain "reliable" group of ladies?

Looking forward to hearing from both punters and escorts!

I'm a 'local' in Cumbria, I'm British and I am not a hoax. I've not a clue what other locals do, although I am aware of at least 2 other part-time ladies in the county who seem genuine to me.

Sorry you've been mucked about, it's not nice.

The bits I've highlighted in bold are various things which jumped out at me.

Firstly I think you could be making yourself vulnerable by the number of messages you send, which to some ladies could make you look like a timewaster, or someone who will become overly involved. Second you mention 12 meetings, to say you were having the urine extracted after the first 2-3 is an understatement-this is something you could have nipped in the bud by moving on.

Next you say the content of her messages were sexual, the genuine Escorts I know mostly don't and won't include any sexual content in their messages, they actively avoid it - sex is for the paid for time. They make a simple booking, meet the person, have a good time and if they get on it is often repeated.

A basic profile on AW is totally free. If a person wishes to display a phone number the cost is £1 per day, if they don't then the advert is free. Other things which are paid for are 'available today' and featured listings.

To me it looks as if you've been 'had' a few times, but also that you've walked into this and bear some responsibility yourself. Make a call, set up a booking, meet and see if you get along from that. Sounds as if you'd waste a lot less time that way!

50% of my bookings have been with British girls, 80% of my repeat visits have been with Brits, and 100% of those i have seen more than 3 times have been British. I book, time, date, length, services required. May occassionaly message everyday stuff to eecorts I know. (Eg how are you, but those are to people i know)

Steve, dont get into any "sex" chat until the booking takes place. No escort is going to provide "wank talk" for free.

Steve, you have been unfortunate and need to keep it simple in future

I'm in regular contact with 4 British ladies who regularly work in Cumbria, all genuine, never heard of any problems.

For at least the last year Adultwork has operated on the basis that if you wish to advertise services by having a profile you will need to send a quality scanned copy of your passport and the face picture holding a bit of paper with the required info on it within 48 hours of submitting your profile or the profile will be removed. approval is usually granted the next day unless they have a non uk passport, then its a whole different ball game.

Adultwork is not just for prostitutes, AW also makes money from ladies who offer other services that require no physical contact at all, Private galleries, Phone chat, Web caming, movies sales etc just because the profile looks like offering sexual services, have price lists for services and has shed loads of feedbacks they may well not be what the profile makes them out to be. Feedbacks should be for sexual contacts only. Adult work should separate WG profile from those who offer other services.

How do I do my searches?

Do not use the main search facility, instead click on the "Local" tab then select the area you wish to punt in, this will bring up adverts on the front page of the "Local search facility" every profile on the front page (or first page if large numbers) here you will find that because the WG has paid to use this option and had to set it up before midnight its a 99.9% that the WG is working and can be contacted easily, I then only contact them by phone, never email, no phone number I move on.

Keep it simple on the phone, minimal questions, all I want is address, time and the parking situation, any faffing about, move on to the next on the list.

Punting is simple, don't complicate things, you don't need to tell the WG about yourself or ask questions about her, both can pretend to be who you wish but remember its not a   substitute of a dating agency so no need to exchange pictures, or provide a reference from you bank manager.

Never engage in texting.

Thank you for the comments, everyone. I appreciate you taking the time to read and to write a reply. It helps a lot and thank you also for being polite.

Strawberry, I will be looking you up when next in Carlisle!

Just to clarify, I don't actually try and have "sex chat" with them. I usually contact to confirm where they are located, availability and to ask if they have recently been tested as I do take health very seriously.

The insights into how AW works are very helpful. I had assumed that it cost the escorts more and therefore would discourage hoaxsters. I guess that I have just been unlucky and fallen victim to people want to jerk someone like me around for whatever reason floats there boat. JKay, I didn't know that's how local search works. From now on, will use that. Appreciate the tip!

To be on the Front page local search is to my mind the best option, because it cost £1 80p to set up and has to be imputed the day before it really is a valuable for both punters and WG's but remember that once you visit the second page and more then the profiles that have not paid the £1 80p may well not be working, between tours and not updated location or just dead or dormant.

And if they say yes do you just take their word for it? Thing is with this is once you get tested its invalid as soon as you have sex again.

You may take your health seriously but you can not rely on girls saying they have been tested when you're not sure they have, just look after your own health! Anyone can say they have been tested, doesn't mean they have :) x

The sexual health question does worry me, it implies you rely on the answer on which to gauge your own risk, and own testing. Surely any Escort is not going to say anything less than the recommended 3 months.

I could however be wrong.

I don't really know what to say to be useful because your methodology and approach are so very different from mine.

I cannot remember ever being messed about by an AW escort, British or not, even though obviously I began with no awareness of how to read profiles with insight and how to spot the worrying elements.

I am always very casual once I have decided to see someone - it is usually a phone call within an hour of the meet.

Even my first ever AW booking involved a phone call with very much an 'amateur' escort (working 6 weeks to raise some rent money) having to be careful what she said as she was on a bus and yet we were together within the hour.

The only emails I send are to narrow down the location a bit to check on roughly where to park or how to get there by public transport.

I would say keep it simple - by all means follow your selection process according to how your experience has taught you - but keep it simple and read feedback from punters with multiple feedback references to help you.

Agree with most of what has been said- I know plenty of British escorts from all over the UK and none of them behave in this way! It seems very odd and you really mustn't let someone mess you around so many times, If a man pisses me about once he *may* get a second chance, but if he blows that then I won't let him book me again. I suggest you have this strategy too.

A couple of other bits of advice which may help in securing a booking.

1) Don't tell them you are looking for a long term regular. This is the call of many a pest trying to get a discount or extra services because wants an escort to believe he will become a regular. You may be genuine, but many escorts will disregard a man who says this to them.

2) Don't ask when they had a health check- this is insulting. Also as pointed out people will only tell you what they want you to hear and anyway you have to take responsibility for your own safe sex and choices of services.

3) Wanting a lot of messages to 'get to know' an escort isn't on. I consider my time is money and if I had to engage in messaging with all potential clients I'd not have time to get anything done! Most chaps here will probably tell you finding a long term escort is trial and error- someone may look great on paper but only until you meet will you be able to decide if you click and want to see her more.

4) If you want to 'get to know' an escort choose ones with comprehensive profiles or websites and blogs. Most professional and genuine escorts have these and do put their personality into their words so you will get a feel for them as a person. Those who spend time and money on websites are more likely to take the job and therefore customer satisfaction seriously and less likely to be fake.

5) if a profile looks too good to be true it probably isn't. You 're not going to get a stunning British escort with wit and character for £60 an hour.

Steve,

I don't know how messaging will help you decide you want "a long relationship". Why don't you look at profiles, choose to see a provider that offers the service you want, pay for her time, have sex, and then decide whether you want to book the provider again. A couple of weeks ago, i worked out i have booked 24 providers in the last couple of years. (Joined PN in 2014) There are 4 escorts that I like to see more frequently than others.  Guess what, of the 4 concerned, they were respectively 14th,17th, 20th, and 22nd provider I had seen. Guess what else, I had a lot of fun between first provider seen and the 24th. (Just a couple of dodgy encounters).

And my third and final point, a provider, provides at their discretion, so I may have my favourites, but I am aware, that  I may not be their favourits, and at any time, they might not want to see me.

Fair point. However, correcting my punctuation is a thankless task. I may read widely and speak a few other languages, but always forget where to punctuate.

Do all of the ladies you are in contact with offer cam services and have extensive private galleries? I have heard of some cam and pg girls pretending that they are escorts to get you to buy more and more camming time and pg gallery access?
