A comment on another thread may me wonder - how many WGs have a 'proper' day job and use the income from prostitution to fund luxury items or expensive hloidays?

There must always be the risk that the pressures ot two jobs conflict - if only on the time available for f*cking.

And if the da job pays well, why risk the stigma of being found out to be a WG?

Or is it the thrill of 'illicit sex' - or indeed sex atall that makes prostitution an essential.

Do WGs who have a 'day' jobs have a higher sex drive?

as we were having a discussion on the other thread i thought id answer you here

i have no problem with anyone knowing im a working girl .if they have a problem with it its theirs and are probably someone i dont want to associate with in the first place.a lot of my clients in my other business find it amusing as both jobs are so different.my face is on my profile so anyone can put two and two together.the stigma of being a working girl is not something i worry about

i do have a high sex drive and yes working helps me to fill this although i also have a partner as well who knows exactly what i do.

in my " day " job im very lucky as im also self employed and can work what hours i choose so fitting in clients has never been a problem.

the monies i earn from being a WG are put through my company books so i pay tax NI ect on them.as such they are absorbed into my income from my other business.

i work as a prostitute because i enjoy sex and enjoy meeting most of my clients.some have become very good friends.when i get jaded im in the fortunate position that i can take a break for a couple of months

I only work on very few occasions now, that is to say three or four appointments a month.

I work full time as a translator and do not have much time for more meetings.

Twelve months ago it was the other way around, I can say in all honesty that full time prostitution was a means to an end. I see a very select band of guys, the money from which pays for a few special things that I otherwise would probably not purchase.

I do not have a sex drive any higher than most woman, prostitution was never about the sex for me.

Stigma? Most people have the odd skeleton in their closets do they not?

I live alone and work from home, I have no family in this country to worry about, if friends were to find out about me being a working girl it would be a good test of a friendship.

I work full-time, and did so when I was escorting - actually I had two day jobs then, and still do.

I currently work for a large company, and am also self-employed. The latter can pay less than the minimum wage if I'm working for the hope of repeat business - such as last evening when I was working until 2.00am, and out to work my other job at 7.30am this morning!

I started escorting because I had a short-term need for money - it's private, but it wasn't credit card debts, or through overspending. Then I carried on to save for retirement, as my expenses will be higher than most to have the same quality of life (again, private, but related to the original reason for starting). In a sense, this will be a luxury I never thought I'd afford, but I've saved every penny (well, nearly every penny!).

The good thing about maintaining a day job is that I've continued to appreciate the value of the money I've earned, and also the value to those spending it. I haven't changed my lifestyle at all.

I knew a girl who escorted as well as doing the nightshift answering the phones at the local mini cab office.

I have a full-time 'real' job, although it's incredibly flexible, which allows me to fit escorting in very easily.

It pays for the basics, escorting pays for the luxuries.

It also means that i never feel I HAVE to work (as an escort). This stops me feeling resentful of the job.

I met a WG a couple of years ago who was a teacher. She went to university, but failed one of her years so had to pay all the costs of doing the re-take, in addition to all the other costs of her course. She left uni with large debts and could not find a decent job for herself so did a teacher training course, so ran up more debt.

She over estimated the money she would earn as a teacher so took up secondary employment in weekends and holidays to pay off her debts and was thinking of going full-time as it was more fun than the agro she got every day in her day job.

Could the CPS claim she was a WG because she had been deceived by Ed Balls, Gordon Brown etc?

most WG's have full time jobs and escort as a means of persuing better lives, we have plenty of girls studying for degrees, nursing, training to be a pilot etc and all this costs a lot of dough......:)

I find that statement difficult to believe. A number yes but "most", I doubt it.

I would suggest that for the majority of escorts, their primary source of income is from paid sex.

I too think it an exaggeration to say 'most' WGs have other jobs.

But I was about to say a good many do.

The most recent woman I met did and was having to answer my texts away from any prying colleagues or customers and came direct from the store to her other job.

We joked about what we would do if I called in at the store and we both agreed a quick wink would do...

But it is, Inland Revenue Commissioners v Aken - Court of Appeal 1990, The judges decided that prostitution is a trade.

"It consists in the supply of services for reward on a commercial basis. Although the bargains made between the prostitute and her clients are unenforceable as being contra bonos mores neither the bargains made nor the services supplied are illegal in the sense of being prohibited either at common law or by statute and made subject to either civil or criminal sanctions. Both bargains and services are immoral, but that is all."

When I called to register to pay my tax and said I was self employed the guy said "What as?" so I said "An independant escort" he didn't even sound shocked :)

When you say "Escorted" do you mean she was also a prostitute, just to avoid any confusion. :)

Yes. Escorted as in she used to be an escort. Is "escorted" not the correct terminology for this then? I thought it was.

A wg used to describe her 'proper' job as her 'kosher' job and when eventually it became sufficiently lucrative for her needs, she quit being a wg.

I'd guess that about half the girls I've known anything about have had kosher activities, ranging from taxi driving to tele-sales to uni student to p/time admin etc.

Because it's a job many would not want to admit to.

'Other jobs' are sometimes just there as a smokescreen.

Understandable too if the girl has a family.

There must be some connection between your ability to walk on water and getting all WGs to agree to £120/hour.

I am not interested in getting all girls to AGREE to £120 an hour, my mission is to convince you gentlemen to not see ladies who charge over that figure.

If we don't pay silly prices then they can't charge silly prices ---- seemples. :)
