What's your vice apart from punting?

Mine has got to chocolate, dark Lindt in particular. Trying not to succumb to more than two pieces at the moment... There's a bar of dark caramel within arms reach, arrrgh.

Booze.

Now, just beer and wine (which I tend to alternate throughout the day). I can still be tempted by a 12-year pure malt once in a while.

(Oh, and gin and tonic in the summer, though this year I seem to have missed it out.)

Sleeping too much - my body does not last like other people with only 6-7h of sleep.

no such thing. sleep is when we repair our bodies.  if you need sleep, grab it.

Yes, this is my philosophy too yet I wish I slept less.  When I was a kid I read a story about little, nano or pico workers hard at work when we are sick or need our sleep and this is an image that remained in my young mind then: it felt good knowing that somebody else was watching over me trying to help me be stronger.  It still brings a smile to my face.

Hey I sleep an awful lot too ... but it makes me feel good so what's the harm!?

I have a dreadful addiction to scented candles, which I burn before apointments to make the house smell nice... I found one yesterday that smells of freshly cut grass - I was sooo excited!!

Wine and cheese are guilty pleasures - why does something so fattening taste so good. Not fair! But then wine is basically grape juice so I like to pretend to myself that balances things out (in truth I know it doesn't!).

My 20 year self would be disgusted that while I can now afford to take drugs and going clubbing until dawn every weekend the thought horrifies me ... now my favourite thing to do on Saturday night is watch Casualty.

Sweets. I have a sweet tooth and have paid a large amount on dentistry the last 4 years.

Reading when I should be doing other things. (SWMBO defines this as a vice.)

Smoking - but at least that also means that I can purchase a good shag.

I don't smoke and now I'm no longer a youth I don't drink to excess.

I'm an avid reader and as an extreme form of self abuse and masochism I support Sunderland FC.
