Yesterday I had a video clip sent to me about a news investigation..

They have clamped down on an animal sex network, dogs being prepared for sex.. Oh yes, extremely sickening.. And I personally would be happy to castrate anybody doing that.

However in the video they compare it to prostitution!!!:mad:

Boy, I do hate the Swedes, they really are something else..

I was googling around last night, and found a site reviewing the prostitution ban in Sweden. The site's slant was in favour of the ban. Demand has fallen, it said, and, following the laws of supply and demand, so has the supply, and price of sex, particularly at the cheaper end of the market. The 'nicer' punters have moved out, leaving only those prepared to take risks. But some of the things it also said should make Harman and Smith think twice, never mind the rest of us. It said that those girl still working the street are now in more danger. Because the price has fallen, punters can spend more, and do it by asking the girls to have unprotected sex. the girls comply, because they need the money for drugs and there is less opportunity to get it. Also there is more rape, because customers have to take the girls into more secluded places to avoid the police, where the girls are more vulnerable. Also there is violence between the girls themselves, as they fight for the little demand tha is left. The Swedish response is to help the girls to get off drugs. That's all well and good, but not everyone can do it. I've never taken drugs, but it was bad enough giving up smoking!

Remember this ban has been in place for nine years; but they still haven't cracked it.

The summary is that the ban has cut down prostitution and trafficking, but those who are left are worse of. The point is that the demand has been reduced, but not eliminated, and those still meeting it are more exposed.

The report also said there are still 400-600 trafficked women in Sweden. I think Sweden's population is about 8 million, so you can scale up the figures for the UK. This would mean about 3000-4500 trafficked girls in the UK if prostitution were banned, assuming the police here could enforce the law as effectively as they have in Sweden.

Also, coming at this from another angle, I can still see escorts advertising services in Sweden. Presumably these women aren't putting up the adverts to relieve their otherwise empty lives: the demand must still be there, and the ban hasn't worked.

What, I wonder, is the plight of the 400-600 trafficked women still in Sweden? There enslavement , and the misery of the streetgirls I referred to above, is the price the Swedes are paying for their ban.

There is moralistic hypocrisy lurking here in the Swedish attitude. this is sickening indeed, and even more so as it appears to be spreading into the UK.

The point is that the demand has been reduced....

And some of it has been exported. Some Swedish men travel to adjacent countries.

The swedes are very anti-prostitution so in policy terms to compare beastality to prostitution seems fair, however surely those partaking in such events should be put in hospital/given medical help rather than being berated?

btw Pia your name in hindi means "to drink" or spelt piya can mean "my lover" !!

Well come to that, making that large assumption that there is a god, she did chose a certain middle eastern religion and its developments, but for for special treatment (bit like getting "SSSS" on yer boarding card in the US.

The real chosen people were the Polynesians who got to screw their brains out, technology that did not allow large scale war and to eat all the pig they could manage

Theyre wrong, even by Swedish terms. Beastiality is technically legal in Sweden. (Except, you can't really screw the poodle anyway, because that's considered Cruelty To Animals.) But they did manage to outlaw consensual sex between adult humans (if there happens to be money exchanged).

I do believe that's the definition of ass-backwards.

Boy, I do hate the Swedes, they really are something else..
Hey now, it's no the Swedes' fault they're governed by wankers. Not when wankers are heading up every major political party.

If the Swedes hadn't banned prostitution .... maybe there'd be less people over there who want to fuck dogs.

Just a theory.....

Ok I agree, it was a bit harsh but you have to remember there has always been rivalry between Sweden and Denmark and I was brought up to talk about the Swedes as those odd ones across the sea!! Plus having worked in an amusement park in Denmark certainly never gave me a great vision of drunk Swedes..

We may admire the Nordic way, but don't try to import it

It's easy to romanticise the welfare priority and democratic values,

but it's all built on very un-British restrictions of freedom

So explain if you will, whose fault is it??

It's our fault we have Gordon Brown, Jaquie Smith, Harriet Harman and Vernon Croaker making a misery of the UK, after all, we elected them to parliament in the first place.

Wasn't it good old Benny Franklin who said that "People get the Government they deserve"??

Interfering with prostitution was not in the Labour party manifesto at the last general election. At that time it looked as if things would head in the opposite direction with small brothels being allowed etc.

And in Sweden, it was two fringe parties, the agressive feminists on the far left and the conservative Xians on the far right, that pushed the prostitution ban to the table by means of horse trading and post election politics. You know the kind. "Support this bill, or we'll name and shame you as the champion for sex slavery, traffickers and whore exploiters in the next election."

There are plenty of cases of animal cruelty in this country too and I it wouldn't surprise me if such things went on over here, just haven't been discovered yet.

Wasn't or isn't there a ring that go around abusing horses?
