Abusive call from agency

51 posts in this topic

Have any you experienced an abusive call from an agency? I just had one. I was called by Olina - an agency I have used and found very efficient and friendly - and then asked about an appointment I was alleged to have made. I explained that they must have made a mistake: this was met with a torrent of abuse.

It sounds strange that a agency can get numbers mixed up for bookings.

I would Imagine you were not best pleased, not much you can do.

Mixed up numbers do happen. I was in New York once when a London asian agency called me to ask why I was late for an appointment - which I clearly had not made.

If you are a regular there then it appears the agency is biting the hand that feeds them. Anyone can make a mistake and they need to remember that the mistake could easily be theirs and now they have lost your repeat business.

Totally stupid.

You said you had found them efficient and friendly, its a mistake and they can be rectified, wait a few days and then phone them and ask if the problem has been resolved.

Hopefully the person will be able to sort out any problem that had arose, If you get the same abuse then simply switch off the mobile phone, and dont bother using them again.

Agencys like to give the impression they are super efficient with a team of hi-tech people sittting behind Computer Terminals running the most up to date CRM software. Delivering Punting logistics at the speed of light.

In reality its more likely to be a few scraps of paper with phone numbers scribbled down, an old laptop and a mobile phone.

Plus a little old lady with corned beef legs from sitting too near the fire, stockings rolled down to her ankles, a fag end drooping from her lip and a little too much gin in the mug of tea!!

(Anyone suggesting that is my Mum will be chastised!!)

New laptop actually  Got a new one for Christmas.

I have only called the wrong client once by accident I had a missed call from a client who was lost and called back the missed call (not realising I had 2 at the same time as I was on a call) and it was another guy.. He found it funny though as he was already in the room when I called him asking him where abouts he was and what he could see lol!! he answered 'i am in a bedroom and I can see Holly stood infront of me in nothing but her underwear' I soon clicked on!

I would never ring a client to abuse them though whats the point? if they have done something wrong and you hadn't realised til they left then next time they come in speak to them about it or next time they call explain the situation if your 100% certain it was them.

I explained that I had not booked a lady for that day at 2.00. That was what the lady on the other end of the line was asking about. I added that I had 'phoned the day before for some details of a new girl, but I had not made a booking. This was met with a torrent of abuse.

It could be worse; they could start an abusive thread about you  - does happen! When appropriate, I have started confirming telephone appointments with follow up e-mails. Mistakes of many kinds do happen, even with the biggest agencies.

Sounds a bit like the agency woman thinks that you made contact with the new girl and talked her into doing the job on the side. It happens quite often.

I disagree that we run agencies with paper and mobile. We have a pretty sophisticated set up we use stone and chisel

Seriously we are very established and but the odd mix up does happen and when we are in the wrong we are always the first to put our hands up, as already been said you don't bite the hand that feeds you but also you don't abuse people. :)

From personal experience, it certainly does happen.

He will never be able to fully know as there are private lists/databases/messageboards that only those in business (escorts/parlours/agencies) can access where they post allegations, share details and track clients. Admitted by an escort on another forum.

Similarly, I was told by an ex-Northern Angels escort that girls on that site share personal details of clients. I found no mention of this on their site but digging on Google revealed the below press release:

This is indeed true, I knew very well a lady on the site, and she lent me her password for a week when she was out of the country, needless to say I did use it and looked at the board the escorts use, and was bored reading it, as it was full of what dresses etc or underwear they had bought, and where the sales were, very little info about clients unless they were real bastards, mostly about a couple of folk who were not hygienic.

very little info about clients unless.

From what the ex-NA girl described to me and what I believe the press release alludes to, this is a newly deployed system in a database format.

So should the OP have already been added to similar secret databases/lists mistakenly due to a cock-up by the agency, he may never know unlike the publicly-accessible posting on forums. No chance of rebuttal, his privacy violated and possibly exposed to devious individuals. Those with ability to add information could also use it maliciously, such as a form of revenge (e.g. receiving negative report, etc.). I have seen the full 'clients2avoid' database and apart from significant personal details being posted (home address, employer details), some have ridiculous reasons such as "woke me up by calling at 4am".

I find this a chilling thought. A database with punters' details, accessible to god knows who. And our data protection laws won't be much help.

Some of those sites (although I thought C2Avoid were a scam as they spammed the whole country, those few who did join reported they could not find any details of anyone on the supposed database) could have prevented a lady from seeing guys who are known to steal, abuse and hurt WGs. As well as provide a place to ask questions about certain situations, support etc.

We can't allow that sort of thing to go on!

I believed this also until I was a victim of false allegations due to mistaken identity and being notified I am on one of the lists with my personal details, causing me not trust any of it. That vast majority must be innocent or added for revenge.

If you run a database in any form with personal details you need to be a registered data controller as per Data Protection Act 1998. Sadly the Information Commissioners Office has very little powers.

Hi guys, thanks for making me smile when i read this thread:p

good for everyone speaking not too angry and have joke about it.:(

But i speak serious now,

I work now up 2 years for asian agencies in london.

If them serious for them business them ask all escort for save booking texts for checking when ever agency and girl have different diary record for booking.

its same for the customer. if them think you have booking they must check on their phone if send you confirmation text and checking them phone delivery report.

this they must do before speak bad to customer.

Frankly, as a victim of false allegations, which was either due to mistaken identity or (most likely) an organised conspiracy for the purposes of revenge, which resulted in harassment, violation of my privacy, freedom, peace of mind and pursuit of happiness, I don't care to protect a specific group from dangerous individuals when that group themselves committed heinous acts against me, so I'm not the one to ask.

I use the Olina often, and once i got a call fron them that was a mistake.

I was at work and able to answer, i think someone had pressed the call key without knowing. I was able to listen in to them talking in the background.

I held the line open for about 3 mins, just to be nosey.

Will not post here the conversation i heard, but it gave a little insight into the running of such a popular agency.:D

I would do my best to resolve the situation

I learnt a long time ago that in the escort game, a receptionist is a punter's best friend. Even if it wasn't your fault, you don't want them offside

After recent email correspondence with Northern-Angels, while their website's facilities to post warnings/details of clients are private and restricted to escort members, they were happy to carry out a search and disclose if you inquired. Professionality, unlike some other sites.

I have seen the full 'clients2avoid' database

Just to clarify, the website design flaw that allowed me (and others I suspect) to view the full database has since been fixed. The website's front page claims '1942 bad clients' in the database, the actual amount was around 210.
