Interesting report---- and summaries of legal developments from TAMPEP (http://tampep.eu), which describes itself as 'a pan-European network [that] collaborates in the production of resources for sex workers and services providers'. They get EU funding and are most concerned with migrant sex workers and HIV/STI issues. They are scathing of the Scandinavian model.

Tx Wanderlust - will read when I get time

Clearly on side of SW's, and funding is no guarantee of quality of research. (After all UK funds Eaves and they produced the Big Brothel joke of a report.)

Does this mean the report should be read with a bit of extra caution or is it reasonably objective?

This is very interesting I have never heard of this organisation before but it's nice to see some EU wide organisation opposing the march of the "Swedish model".

Assuming its accurate it's very interesting to read about all the other European countries laws and attitudes and one thing stands out for me, what a mess most of these laws are (like our own:mad:)

Guys remember it was only a few years ago this government were looking at Tolerance zones and legalising brothels. The wind changed because people lnked it with abolishment of slavery and the 'Swedish' model came to the front. I believe the wind can change again.:)

Agree that funding source is no guarantee of quality (& could write acres of text upon the topic in general, I do promise!)..... However the official mind is strange in the way that it gives more credence to state/EU sponsored work. Hence it is useful to cite such material back at bureaucrats/politicans.
