Telephone box cards

3 posts in this topic

With council by-laws and local enforcement becoming stricter, the design of telephone box cards advertising the services of providers has become a dying art. Do any of you recall some of the more interesting examples? I particularly liked one that appeared about fifteen years ago in the Tottenham Court Road area which featured a cartoon of a navvie-type bald head being crushed by a pair of Rubenesque thighs.:o The strapline read 'Feel the squeeze between her knees' and was of course accompanied by a phone number. For those of you who might be interested I'm afraid I no longer have this number!

The one I liked was at Kings Cross and read "erections demolished - phone ......" This was about 15 years ago - they don't make them like that anymore :o

One of my favourites, again in King's Cross, was 'former air hostess seeks interesting ground positions'.
