New Law ! - We are not the only victims - !

If WGs and Punters think that the current gang of wankers at Westminster are only targeting us, then we should, perhaps, think again.

Have you ever uploaded a digital photograph (of anything) to the internet? If so, have a look at:

http://www.stop43.org.uk/

and ask yourself what the hell they think they are about. Certainly WGs web-site photographs are in danger of being misused, but so are all of our holiday, family, train-spotting etc., snap shots too.

At least, in this case, you can write to your MP under your own name, without worrying that by so doing you will invite the attentions of HH's friends!

So much for copyright and intellectual property rights.

The internet, this medium we have now. If Orwell had the foresite not only to fortell the future of the controlling Executive but the realisation that instant electronic communication would be the key to a total controlling Big Brother State; 1984 would be called 1999 or even 2010 and would be a completely different novel. Little wonder Brown announced today the future of the Web as faster and more efficient, for whom, not the end user, but for numerous unmentioned spy centres the Executive will create to log and monitor every aspect of our daily lives as the Web becomes becomes a "third" hand to everyone. "Come into my Parlour said the spider to the fly" Technology rather than being an aid to masses is overwhelmingly the single most useful tool for the Government to cower the populas.

this is insane. It means no photographer can put any pix up on the net. Every Pro would have to close down their website or risk their images being used for advertising or even on other pay to join websites. Certainly every porn site could get ripped off and the pix used on multiple new sites. I cannot believe how people making laws can be so stupid. Surely if you have the power to make laws you should show some signs of intelligence, that however seems to have escaped this government.
