The other site-how many are real?

105 posts in this topic

For example, there is one lady who lives near me, offers CIM and 15 mins quickies. I have e-mailed her 5 times and made 2 bookings, but have had no reply, nor had my mails read. She logs on daily and has had 3500 views.

Is she real, or just using her private pictures at 2 credits to raise money? Just 10% of people subscribing would have rasied £750.

If this is the case, what percentage of SPs fall into this category?

What success have people had in having these profiles removed?

It's not just a problem with "the other site". It's a problem with the multitude of agencies in general. Most of them are fake and have photos of models which they use to bait and switch. Nothing new.

Just do your homework, use common sense and play it safe (as safe as you can).

Unless you thrive on taking risks, then go for it.

Surely if you keep emailing someone and they don't respond, you simply move on. No?

Well I'm real on that site, though if you look at my posts, from about a year ago I stated that I wouldn't use it because of the bad stuff I had heard about it...

But like any tool it's only as good as the person using it.

Lots and lots of research is the trick, but I suppose with the amount of people on there you may be forgiven for hitting the bad side of it,...

Personally, anyone who is serious, usually features there profile either in the local section, or on featured itself, also the phone number is usually displayed, all of which cost money to do so usually show someone who does want appointments, and to provide the service.

Of course nothing is fool proof, and those are just the guidelines, that I look for and use.

Most if not all sites that take advertisements relating to prostitution will have a percentage of ringers, this one included; where money is concerned there is very little, if any, due diligence.

I am on that site and am definatley real,or at least i was last time i looked.

Tammy is correct in that it is a very useful escorting tool but it is misused and abused by many (also some guys unfortunatley).

If a lady is showing her phone number and is not offering phonechat for a fee then it is a fairly safe bet. If you dont recieve an email within a day or two i would move on though to be honest as she obviously is not taking it seriously enough. I answer all my emails on the day i recieve them, sometimes i cant due to loss of connection but i always then send an apology message.

I think Chloe's advice is pretty good. I personally find that with a bit of experience, it gets easier to spot the probable fakes and/or timewasters but there is no foolproof way (ask NIK ;)). As Chloe said, if a phone number is displayed, that is often a good sign.

Personally, I find that about 1 in 4 of my e-mail enquiries to ** girls go unanswered. I have good feedback myself, so I don't think it's anything personal, it's just a hit (or miss) rate that you learn to live with. If I don't get a response within 48 hours, I simply shrug and move on.

In my limited experience of the other site, I agree that phone numbers are a good sign, as are responses to email. A brief convo on the phone can usually convince me too.

Believe it or not I find private galleries to be useful too, despite what some have said of them... fake photos, photos showing bareback with multiple partners when the girls allegedly don't offer it according to their profiles are all useful indicators (and ring the big red get out of Dodge bell in my head).

I'm surprised you can say that. Surely unless it can be proven (tineye and the likes) that the photos are stolen, or the profile content is plagiarised, they won't do anything at all.

You might have a 95% success rate reporting profiles breaching the rules - but if you can't, they're not going to remove profiles willy nilly and without proof.

I'm another of the real ones on the other site. I put off going on there for a long time because of its reputation but decided to give it a go. I have met some great guys from there.

I'm a genuine one too but am aware of profiles in my area that are firstly fake to earn money from galleries that probably are being used without permission from the model, and others in the past who have been rumoured to be placed there by ex-boyfriends or duplicates. There are also of course other genuine ladies too.

I don't worry about it I simply get on with my own business. I was however contemplating coming off the site during my first year or two - I'd joined without being aware of it's rep and without knowing so many timewasters use it, combine that with the odd technical boob plus site being difficult to access & administer..............

Have persevered although sometimes I did wonder!

The private gallery scams on *theothersite* are pretty easy to spot; as mentioned, tineye and lack of mobile numbers are both big giveaways.

One tip though; never ever purchase a private gallery subscription until you have been contacted by the girl (and therefore confirmed she's real). If everyone did this, these scams would hopefully go away..

You don't need permission from a model to use pictures of her, you need permission from the owners of the copyright (in most circumstances the photographer) it has nothing to do with the model.

Here's some stuff that I look for on the other site:

-Feedback from other members. I then look at the feedback of the people who left feedback, to check they are real people.

-Does the writing in the profile have some personality in it, or is it just along the lines of "I have big tits and like it up the wrong'un"? (for the avoidance of doubt, the former is what you're looking for)

-If they write a blog, that's a bonus

-Have they logged in recently?

-Do they have some non-nude pics in their PG. You can see this without signing up for it. Quite often, girls who want to show their faces will do so in PG.

I go through the above to help weed out PG scams, but also to try to ensure I'm booking a someone who is what they appear to be.

For instance, there are a group of adverts from girls in the Golders Green area who are very cheap, and often offer anal. If you look at the photographs, they often have the same backdrop. The girls are always foreign, and change frequently.

That just screams out "dodgy, stay away" to me.

i am on there too ( am real also last time I checked..lol)

do you have feedback yourself ? some girls wont reply to you if you have no feedback or it is hidden.

if she is not answering your mails or even looking at them then you may be correct in thinking that she is mainly there to make money out of the gallery..

as some have said if she doesnt want your business then move on and find someone who will answer your emails

good luck ;))

You don't need permission from a model to use pictures of her, you need permission from the owners of the copyright (in most circumstances the photographer) it has nothing to do with the model.

Her photo can only be published if the model signed a dispensation allowing her photo to be used publically. The model charges more for this.

So if she has signed the dispensation, then the photographer owns the publishing rights to the photo.

Howard sorry should have made this a bit clearer-there are some who may have obtained the images by deception or simply not give a stuff about copyright etc.

Out of interest from a client perspective does there appear to be a correlation between those offering other services like movies and phone chat to fake escort profiles?

IMO a successfull escort wouldnt bother with phone chat or webcam as they would make far more escorting in a short space of time than they ever could offering phone chat etc.

Personally I think most genuine escorts only bother with private galleries to help subsedise the rediculous prices ********* charge for just about everything. If offering a genuine private gallery with x rated content doesnt that rather defeat the object for a real escort, I would imagine they risk loosing clients to a private gallery rather than gaining them as a full paying client?

Four WGs i have punted with in Golders Green work from the same flat or at least did up till christmas so having the same backdrop doesnt always indicate its dodgy, these ladies have all been advertising for some time. One out of the fours pictures dont look like her to me. I dont recommend any of them now but thats because of a lack of enthusiam from 3 of them and a horrendous hygiene problem with the 4th after many great punts. All my experiences documented on threads at the time.

There were also three other group flats in nw11, one in the same road as the four ladies and one in Temple Fortune all with a number of ladies working from them so they could have had their pictures taken at the same place at the same time.

Spot on in my experience. Adultw0rk is a useful location tool for me and out of around 500 punts from ladies off their, 30-35 have been scams, attempted scams or walk outs due to blatant lying. This includes a number of risky punts in search of a gem. A fair number have been ok or average with the rest being good or better.

I punt as i like variety and am prepared to walk if necessary, the days of thinking with my dick are gone.;)

For many that is true, but there are a few who found webcam to be more profitable than escorting, KazB & Chloe are a couple of examples

The other site is very suspect - I'm very careful who I book from there. I'm no longer going to risk turning up only to find that the OWO on her enjoys list is not on offer, or its not even the same girl.

The site isn't suspect, simply some of the users are. It's basically an enhanced directory.

There are certain things a punter can do to minimize the risks of a poor punt to the bare minimum.

What happens in my opinion is that some punters are willing to take chances either through prices that appear too good to be true and/or escorts that look like supermodels/porn stars on their profile. That's their prerogative of course.

Apologies, I didn't make myself clear. I didn't just mean dodgy as in "non-existent", I meant as in "not what they appear", or "won't be a very good experience".

Personally, I'd be really cagey about visiting somewhere that is a group of girls working from flats unless they were up-front about it. The ways those profiles was written seemed designed to give the impression they were indies, when they weren't.
