Window shopping for WGs

30 posts in this topic

One of the parts of punting I really enjoy is looking through profiles and field reports, doing research on which WGs I'd like to see.

The anticipation, wondering what each one will be like, and trying to suss out whether they really match up to their profiles is delicious.

Anyone else enjoy this?

Yes, it's great fun. I start working out what excuses I can find to visit places like Milton Keynes, or Gloucester, or Kendal...

Yes, and it's certainly cheaper than the actual event.

I love reading profiles. I am such a trawler. I must confess to a touch of schadenfreude (spelling?) however when looking at the nightmare profiles one comes across every now and again - the atrociously written, grammatically disastrous types.

Of course some of those also have great pictures to perv at lol :D:p

I must admit, I do sometimes wonder whether ladies check out any new local 'opposition'.

Yes I have to say, I find this quite a thrill.

I know exactly what you mean Belle. :( A lot of the profiles I come across are of ladies I would be very unlikely to want to actually meet, but that doesn't stop me admiring some of their more adventurous images!

Window shopping...........oh yes that's all part and parcel of booking a punt. Reading Fr's and tryimg to secound guess whether the author was similar to yourself, could she be better or worse with me, do I want to spend the night with one that has more Fr's than the complete works of Charles Dickens, do I take a chance with a newbie, yeah it's all part of the punting experience.

The danger of window shopping is that you actually make a purchase

Most of the time I insist on putting myself through the ' torture ' of window shopping and checking reviews etc --- its most of the fun ! I have a couple of pals that are quite happy to accept my recommemdations without any window shopping themselves. The same guys are happy to just go with the advise of the agency receptionist.:(

We have to understand that there are large numbers of guys out there who will spend max 10 mins looking for a girl and thats it and really dont bother much with reviews. Think of all the enjoyment they are missing on the one hand but missing all the time wasted on the other hand too :)

True, and that of course is there choice, but I can understand SPs getting extremeley peed off when they've put a lot of time and effort into constructing a profile and website and providing lots of helpful information, then it becomes clear in the first ten seconds that the giuy hasn't had the courtesy to resad any of it.

by and large the guys I'm referring to will only use an agency or someone else's specific recommendation. Indies mean work and research !!

It never ceases to amaze and delight me, that even when you think you've identified every possible mission (as I like to refer to them), that a few weeks later someone new heaves in to view. Like dandelions growing on my lawn .

By the way Belle, sorry for the name confusion the other month, we have actually met, hopefully we will be doing so again soon;)

I love meeting new girls I've never seen before, so if I'm going to be staying overnight in a town thats new to me, I scour the profiles on ** compiling a hot list then email a couple of them.

It is so much fun checking out the girls in the area. I've met some real beauties when I get out of my home town.

Punting round here is just awful when it comes down to choice and genuine girls.

Your second paragraph is how numerous punters i have met operate, and i used to myself, it took me a while to adjust from my pre-internet days where apart from very bad photos in contact magazines, i had no idea what the lady would look like till she opened her door.

For many punters they have no idea of resources like Pnet and some have no interest when i mention it to them. In fact its amazing how many are still not on the net and rely on local papers or word of mouth.

Personally i dont spend as much time as i used to, but do have a good look about. Its easier for me as i stick to a defined punting area for my non Party punts and do not use Agencies anymore so dont bother with their sites, only HOD is of any interest to me in that regard, and i have asked them to open a branch in North London.:o

We all love reading the 'car crash' element profiles, I'm sure!

I sometimes read that site I call 'The Circus' (cos it's full of beasts, haha), that's always good for a laugh. Skreeming in KAPITILS, dreadful spelling and grammar, photos with green grapes hanging out of orifices, it's all there...

I might have a go, one day!

The "window shopping" or profile checking, to me is essential!

Over a period of time you get to be able to judge better if that punt is your type.

Not foolproof however, as i've still had some mares, but it does minimise the chances of a bad'un!

Even if i'm not on the look for a new punt, its still fun to check them out!

Yeah, one very young lass on the other site stated in her profile last year that she was an escort and would have sex if she liked the chap and that she WAS NOT A PROSTITUTE AS THAT WAS ILLEGAL..Suffice to say she has now updated her profile and is now a hooker and working at a local brothel, haha..

Yes, the good old days pre net, pre punternet...! The parlour experience always fascinated me & I wish I'd been a salesperson for specsavers. 34DD was always 40B in reality, slim was obese & 25 was 55... I love the web, it's saved me a fortune & improved my enjoyment levels.

I sometimes miss the "what will she look like" element though. Looking back, when you did stumble across a gem, it was a massive high and I have some fond memories of some of my earlier punts.

I found many of the WGs in those days to be part timers, and much more amateur than now, but that had its advantages in my experience, often no clock watching and i recall an hour turning into three or so many times.

There was certainly some adrenalin flying about as i was walking up her pathway to her door with a great sense of anticipation, i also have many fond memories of those days, and some best be forgotten ones as well.;)

Yes, I didn't mention the forgotten ones... simply as I'm in denial :o . Yes, amateurish is a good description for some of my earlier punts too. I didn't have many hours turning into three, but I did have one late night visit that turned into an all night PSE shagfest. And to think I nearly didn't book as I didn't believe her description.

On balance, I prefer how things are now... much better to know what to expect than to be bitterly disappointed.
