My God, that was close!

I've just sent an email off to a friend with a link in it. Unusually for me, I checked it before bashing the 'send' button, and to my horror/relief saw that obviously the copying of the site address had failed, and I was on the point of posting off a link to one of my field reports, which I had sent to a fellow member earlier in the day.

I've made some embarrassing errrors in the past with email, but never anything that blew the gaff on my punting activities. Anyone else ever inadvertently outed themselves in this way?

Further to your confession :D, I always make sure I clear the clipboard when exiting from here or similar activities. I did spook myself one day when I used paste, and got some unexpected results in a Word document :)

Mercifully the results were soon gone, and now remain a secret between me and my maker :D

Does your friend know who Mr.Bloom is? I'm sure you could have blagged your way out of it. :D

Complacency is always our greatest enemy in my opinion.

So blag away for me. I'm genuinely interested. What plausible explanation would you give for copying the link to a Punternet field report?

As for your other question: no, none of my friends (outside a small group of Punternet members) knows anything about Mr. Bloom. But quite a few might well guess a connection between me and my nick if the two were brought together.

Oh dear mr Bloom, im glad you noticed before you sent it. It's always good to be able to blag your way out of a bad situation but the majority of people would rather avoid the situation happening in the first place. Make sure you keep those eyes peeled all the time now when your copy and pasting :D

Hugs Casey xx

i agree, too close for comfort. that certainly would have caused a lot of worries and discomfort. Next time wait until the excitement of the appointment wears off, at least it will make you less likely to make mistakes typing one-handed. x (sorry bad joke i know lol)

I thought Mr Bloom was your real name?

Every single E-mail sent in the UK is filtered by the Authorities, how do I know; my Niece's husband works in the IT security industry, my son owns and runs an IT Network Company and does work for many major High Street and City companies, even has worked in "Brown's bunker", they are not only filtered but every single one is stored and IP out and IP in are logged with date and time. Any mail that contains some main key words "bomb", "Islam", "child", "preteen", "liason", "plane or areoplane", there are many, many more, those previous are just a few. Even this forum is watched by "Big Brother" and this post will be stored and logged because of the words it contains, it will be filtered to GCHQ and CEOP. Lets hope they enjoy reading it. I expect they have a real good belly laugh at the way the Punternet Forum has reacted to "Barmy Harman's" Law where so many have expressed their fear of Section 14 Policing and Crime Act 2009, just the result they wanted!!! Forget this hideous law and carry on as before, it is unforceable, the police will have absolutely no prospect of getting a working girl to appear as a witness in court she doesn't want the publicity no more than the punter does.

I have a client who says he and his wife share the same email address :o

He occasionally emails me with amusing snippets or general info on various interests etc and tells me to never reply, which of course I don't.

He says he always deletes the email he sent to me as soon as it has flown.

Yet he browses escort sites. Ok I know we can delete history etc but all it takes is one distraction at home and a website can be left for a wifey to see!

I can not understand why anyone would share an email address with a partner. It is like having all your post delivered to one person and then you both open it to find out who it is for :P It just isn't done is it?

Yep - I posted a day or two about exactly the same thing. Only he didn't tell me about it until his wife saw my saucy email :):o what an idiot.

Enjoying the view from cloud cuckoo land? Seriously?

I can just imagine armies of people in bunkers underground reading our every email and post (not).

Btw, as for your last comment - there's no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to titillating stories. It only rakes in more business.

I do. That makes no difference here. The memory of the previous copied link was on the computer, no matter which email I used.

I was looking at the punternet field reports on my iphone the other morning and accidentally selected a mobile number for one of the agencies mentioned, very easily done -and it automatically called the number....I quickly held up on the call.

About midday when having lunch out when a text came up on my phone saying "you called? we offer cheap escort outcall appointments, ring back for info". My other half was interested what the text message said :o, I quickly deleted it and said it was just an advertisement. I guess have let my guard down a bit as am not actively punting at the moment....but still must be more careful.

Yes, every married punter's nightmare.

And I realise - though I said in my original post that I've made no punting gaffes so far with email, I should, of course, have added as far as I know. Have a nice day, everyone.

I downloaded some clips from Realpunting, and left the downloads window open, clearly showing the files, like a complete twat. I must have been having a senior moment. Anyway, Mrs Kayak came along and discovered them, but what could have been an awful situation was avoided when I included her, and we watched a bit together, and I was surprised by her positive reaction. She did ask me afterwards though, if watching real working girls in action would make me want to go and see one, to which I obviously didn't have the courage to own up to.

:) thank you hun, i feel it holds a lot to life's journey. Nothing is easy in this life and those who strive hardest tend to get the best rewards for their efforts. I just fancied something different to "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" Got to love a little Philosophy :o

Maybe you could persuade Mrs K to show you a whole new side of herself. Would she look good in a black leather basque and fishnet hold-ups? :o

Blimey, I'll have to be careful next time I ask my favourite sex bomb lady to join me for a liaison dressed as an aeroplane stewardess! By the way, hello to all my mates down in GCHQ. :o
