It's top tier. Go search ISG and you'll quickly pick up the basics. Taking extra security precautions with take-home's is the rule if you return to your apartment or hotel room in Brazil.

I think Discoteca Club closed down at the start of the year, although in a city of that size and with such an open attitude to sex, I am sure that the gatas will just have wondered somewhere else.

I do know a few Brasucas who have complained that with the booming economy down there, the foreign exchange rate isn't as favourable to them as it used to be a couple of years ago, so I guess the same would apply for a tourist going down.

Hasn't the Brazilian economy had problems like the rest of the world? Whats the Real doing against other currencies?

Yes, Help has shut. Yes, you get half as many Reals to the £ that you would have got maybe ten years ago. It is worth going to as one of the most magnificent cities in the world - the fact that there is a great variety of enthusiastic WGs is a side benefit. If cost is your primary concern, there are far cheaper places - and places that are far less challenging than Brasil (Which is hardly for beginners). The amount of info on Brasil in English is stupendous on ISG (just as anyone on there asking about London should really come onto Punternet). But that's only starters. Although I recommend RJ as a city for the adventurous if you are simply a sex tourist you can find places that will give you an easier time package-holiday style.

Re Jerboa's question: yes, the economy is currently one of the world's best performers.

I was on holiday in Rio a few years back and whilst I didn't punt in that time, it seemed exceedingly easy to find very good looking WGs either on the street (sometimes leaving very little to the imagination) or especially in clubs or hotels.

I was in a big club (can't remember if it was in Copacabana or nearby Ipanema) which was marketed as a big singles venue. Actually it was a massive knocking shop. I was there with a white mate who was constantly pestered by WGs touting for business. The usual opening line is asking where you are staying as they can guage how wealthy you are likely to be by the hotel you are staying in. I, however, am Asian and can pass for being a bit Latin looking so possibly they thought I was local - I didn't have a single girl come up to me all night! ;)

BTW, my experience was that Rio is nowhere near as dangerous as is sometimes made out so long as you take sensible precautions. I've found cities in the USA and Europe to be much worse.

I am sure that is true however it would not be wise to wander into the slum areas, don't wear jewellery or carry large amounts of cash or credit cards, just common sense really. Same rules applly in Manilla. ;)

Yes It's common sense, even the Police don't enter some flavelas of Rio, but It's a large city, security wouldn't be such a problem as some state.

The number of Brazilian girls working in UK suggests a less than boming economy ...

... but the number of Brazilians in UK who are Brazilian may well be another matter.

Even in a booming economy they would not be able to charge the rates they would be able to get in the UK.

I have no idea how hard/easy it is for them to enter the UK. :D

TAM's not actually new :D. They've just become part of Star Alliance though so that will increase flight options. BA gives you the best experience as it flies direct from London. Air France comes close second, even if they've lost my luggage once. Arrival times vary between airlines as well which might be a factor for some (ie arriving late at night rather than in daylight hours). BA goes out of the new terminal in Heathrow, which does a decent impression of being civilised for a British airport.

Rates vary more widely. You can pay a fiver or a hundred and fifty or more. Worth trying both ends of the market then settling into your comfort zone.

In brazil a lot ofthe top escorts are famous porn stars such as Pamela butt, Monica Matios, and Bubalu the going rates would be 300 reis per hour or 150 us dollers per hour.

While that might be a reasonable rate, I think you'll find the current rate just in 4x4* is at least 250 reis for just 40 minutes these days - and that's if you go early and miss the entrance fee. And while there's a lot of good-lookers there, they're generally not famous porn stars (although you'll get a few, especially lesser known). Girls hitting on unsuspecting foreigners in Copa, on the other hand, will often start negotiations at 300 reis.

*A respected, established and popular upscale 'terma' in the centre of Rio, with dozens of attractive women, a range of suites to rent out on the premises, saunas, bars, restaurant, small dance floor etc. 300 reis will work out at roughly £110.

At least they only lost your luggage, one of their planes ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic. :o:eek:

Yes I can Imagine Rio and Sao Paulo would be different, Rio Is a big tourist magnate, so your bound to find girls asking and getting more than you would In a Industrial City like Sao Paulo.
