wgs, how did u spend ur first earnings?

31 posts in this topic

When you started working did you have something specific to do with the cash or did you just blow it?

Once you realised the money was coming in regularly and you could fairly quickly accumulate larger sums of money, what was the most expensive thing that you bought or did with the money?

I can remember the first time I worked being excited, because I could pay for something my son needed for school. I know it sounds stupid, but for me it was the little things like not having to be tight fisted with rounds that made me happiest or being able to give my son money for mowing the lawn etc. Then I moved on to replacing my broken down fence in the back garden, with a really good quality fence.

Now I tend to save 2/3rds of what I earn and use the remainder for day to day living expenses.

so... what was the first thing you did and what was the most significant thing you bought or paid off?

I went into our local shopping centre and bought the first thing that I saw and liked without looking at the price tag. It was a t-shirt sytle top and rather shamefully (compared to the above - children rather change your priorities) I quickly had a new top for every night out of the year, i.e. was buying 3 to 4 new tops a week. I loved the feeling of being able to go shopping and buy rather than just window shop.

Not quite the same as children but the money kept me in my life passion for several years longer than I would have ever been able to afford if not working, my most extravegant purchase being of the four legged variety ;)

I used my money to obtain the services of extra occupational therapists for my son and to pay for him to attend centres where he will gain the extra life skills that I are not able to be taught in a home enviroment.

Depending on how many hours I have been able to work I also use it for the odd treat for me (that needed handbag or those special shoes) and for special family days out.

I still use my escort earnings for this and probably always will.

I nearly bypassed this thread as it's aimed specifically at WGs, but now I'm really glad I ddn't. I don't think that sounds in the least bit daft Kate. These seem admirable uses for the money. I'm sure your son has benefitted enormously from the additional resources you've been able to provide for him Danielle. :)

I was not in debt so had no problems in that direction when I earned

my first little pile.

I think I realised within a few days, that I could at last have a nice holiday

which was something I had done without for quite a few years as household

bills took up most of my earnings with my "proper job".

My sons going to be old enough to drive soon, so I'm saving up to buy him an old banger at the moment. My Mums paying for the lessons, so I've just got to worry about the insurance, which will likely be 3 x more expensive than the car itself.

I'm looking forward to that one Adele. I reckon this time next year I'll be on a beach for the first time in 6 years :)

I would say many have differebt reasons for being a WG but I bet whatever the reason a huge cloud gets lifted when you know that you can afford something without worry...be it a new washmachine not on HP or shoes for your kids or just everyday things that turned out to be a luxury before :)

This week is my 20yr anniversary of 'My First Escort Exp'.

I remember every detail as if it were yesterday! The Dress, The Lingerie..etc...

My first exp was for pure curiousity, and the first purchase was a pair of red socks in Debenhams, swiftly followed by pancakes with ice cream and blackberry sauce at the local pancake house with my best friend, who wanted to know 'what it was like'.

I was absolutely euphoric. (They were great socks, ok? haha)

I had a 'lovely entrance' to my chosen lifestyle, (ooer missus) and have great memories of the time. The red socks are long gone though...

I've gone shopping an bought Phillips Sonic toothbrush for £60 (it was half price then, and they are always half price now decade later. lol), titanium coated non stick frying pan for £40 (it was a new technology then) and it till going strong now, half of kilo of monkfish tail for about £8, some lingerie (as I desperately needed it "invest" to for a future)

My first earning was £170 for an hour in 1998. (that what I was charging then for an hour). Today its 2010, and my minimum charge is £160. Feel de-inflated.

Hehehe, X, my first exp was £180 for 'however long' tea, biscuits and me. I have no idea/recollection of how I decided upon the sum. It was 1990.

Great post! :)

I put half in my bank account to start paying off my huge overdraft and spent the other half on myself.

After that I always put half in the bank for the overdraft and half on debts, may be once a month treating myself to something nice.

Whilst I accept the HoD have an excellent reputation as an employer, I think you'll find it was YOU who did the work! :)

I agree with this statement. Nice to know you work for a good employer, but you earned the money. Sounds like a lovely thing to spend the money on too x

Heroin and booze, I did wonder about a baby sitter but thought it probably wasn't worth it, if the 10 of them can't look after each other, who can?

I've got to ask- did you have the rabbit already, living in cramped conditions, or only get him (her) afterwards? ;)

I worked as many hours as I possibly could to pay for my son to have some treatment. Once that was sorted I only spent what I had to on escort related things like advertising, websites, underwear, condoms ect then saved the rest of it.

Not decided what to spend it on yet.
