Having been a customer of Giggles in East London in the early noughties, I find it very difficult to equate the name TARA with a radfem organisation looking to stamp out the demand for paid sex.

I'd like to know Ann Hamilton's source for her "actual fact" that very attractive women having lots of sex and enjoying it only accounts for 0.005 per cent of women.

I've just put that to her. The reponse should be interesting.

If there are 80000 prostitutes (a dubious number, but there is no other estimate), 0.005% = 4. Laura is apparently one of them, so that only leaves 3 more to identify.

"Reducing demand" for paid sex is the way forward, apparently, because this will stop trafficking you see. :)

While we're at it, reducing the demand for (or, not to put too fine a point on it, banning) cars would help to stop road deaths. We all know that most people don't enjoy driving - they're forced into it to get to the place of work. Additionally, cars are dirty.

Reliable research shows that 0.0173% of car 'users' experience violent road rage and kick a cat. An even higher proportion indulge their disgusting urges watching the odd bit of porn. Some of them have been known to hit children or avoid paying their license fees. This disgusting situation should not be allowed to continue.

Laura, your faith in human nature is beautiful and does you great credit!

I think I'd say that her complete lack of response will not be surprising!

Is TARA a wholly owned subsidiary of GCSS?
