Why are so many parlour webbies so shite

1. ladies with no pix or bio on the rota. how hard is it to take a selfie and post a brief bio till something better can be produced?

2. rotas that end on sunday and nothing comes up until after lunch monday for the current week. how are Monday punters supposed to plan? surely a rolling week is not too hard to organise? And some only say who is on today via a tweet mid morning.

3 rotas where the names are not hyperlinks to the ladies gallery. so you have to remember who is on then go into gallery and find the pix/bio.

My guess is that the proprietors are not IT literate enough
Re: parlour websites

I could probably offer some insights into it from a webmaster POV, having done the job for a number of parlours in the North West and Midlands when I was young, carefree and blessed with patience.

1) No bio - a lot of parlours never meet a lady until it is her first day, and she's literally appeared at the door to start work. Her "interview" will have been to call up, ask for a job, and leave a couple of details about herself and how to contact her. From that, you're magically expected to compose a bio, without really knowing what she looks like or does (sometimes, all the info you're given is that Mystery Lady does A-Z or B-Z, which of course, they never really do, as you'll find out when trying to get proper info to write up her profile).

No pix - tons of reasons really. One of the most common is, as stated above, because she's not even appeared at the door before, so you'll have no chance of getting any pics of her beforehand. If it seems, for whatever reason, that she won't fit into the place, then management will suggest it isn't worth the effort of taking pics

2) The rota bit is an interesting thing. In some places, it is only formulated sometime on the Monday morning for the forthcoming week. There is essentially no forward planning for the week ahead, so you're left guessing who to put on the rota. Fortunately, some ladies are so consistent, that you can part prepare a rota in the knowledge that if they have appeared on, for example, a Tuesday for the last 3 years without fail, then they'll appear next week Tuesday for the purpose of setting up a rota. In other cases, you're left whistling in the wind.

3) Often a case of poor webdesign. Sometimes, this is because the design is ancient, so you're carrying over really old code from someone else; at other times it will be down to the fact that the person who set it up is a lazy shit and couldn't care less about keeping it up to date. If you have a content management system, this may be easier to avoid, but don't count on it.

In the end though, it boils down to how professionally they want to run the place. Being IT literate is a factor, but being tightfisted and not wanting to spend some dough is an even bigger issue. You could see it as a false economy, but owners usually CBA.

i find it amazing in 2018 that there are people who think a webby is a nice to have and not a core part of the biz.

there is Pennys, a parlour in smelly oak, brum that has no web presence whatsoever. been going years. pretty obvious from outside what goes on in there.

so maybe there are enough punters who dont care, and will shag anything with a pulse.

Just a side issue - are you saying Pennys is still open? I thought there were posts on the old forum that mentioned its opening becoming rarer and then that it appeared to have finally shut.

I always liked it. You would sometimes wait sitting by the fire in what was like a sitting room in a compact 1970s house with tea served and one of the escorts doing the ironing. It was the place where once the escort agreed to go out into the courtyard with me for the session and another one came out to join in.

sorry. i have moved from the midlands so dont know.

I was wondering if first class was still going too

The one through the archway?

I don't know either (or about that claimed to be Brum's oldest parlour further along the road on a corner).

First Class got a lot of scathing comments and for good reason in my view with that big hall of an entrance and girls scarcely brave enough to pop their head round the door from their room.

That area used to be a village of parlours such as Good Lookers and so on...

In my experience in working in Parlour's- girls are often there for short periods of time, they either don't enjoy the lifestyle or go independent like myself , or like in any other business you get bad lazy workers who don't turn up and then there are genuine reasons for work absence. All this culminates in difficulties in rota, parlours often have set names that girls swap and charge around with to make it appear that there are more girls available than there actually is- to promote variety and create interest

Yes, no doubt all us parlour veterans recognise that but we probably also know very well run places with efficient, friendly owners and receptionists and escorts with extremely impressive characters as well as bedroom skills. Over many decades there have been relatively scarce periods when I have not had a favourite parlour or two where I could be certain of a friendly welcome, a laugh, interesting chat and great sex.

The one on the corner just up the road near to Sainsburys would be Manyana, which is definitely open.

as Indigo says, Manyana is on the opposite side of the A38 road to Sainsburys, in A4040 Oak Tree road.

Its quite a step down to Manyana was. it was next door but one to the Selly oak centre, a big fake Tudor building Google street view has the builders in, a skip out the front and a big hole in the front yard. dated 2017. Dunno if its having a revamp as a parlour but i doubt it.

but a few hundred yards further towards brum there is/was first class. the one through an archway. Last tweet was in Oct last year but their twitter history was a bit sparse, Dunno if still open.

Ah yes thanks. My main memory of it was when everyone seemed to be middle-aged and one stepped away from cleaning duties to service me while the others worked on in the corridor outside the room and talked loudly all about the price of polish at Sainsbury's.

I would much rather Good Lookers and Pennys had stayed open (and the fab Lucy Palmers near the Blues ground that I almost lived in for 2 or 3 years; I have a picture from the reception room wall in my house). Other smashing places were the Swan. Lisa's, Burbank, Soho95 and Kitty&Co in its heyday.

The only parlour in Cov I ever knew about was Covergirls in Longford. Got raided and shut down. That was later than when Billy was there. T'other side of the city to Tile Hill.

Yes, but book if you can. I have been turned away from there at 6pm. nobody free for the rest of the day.
