Escorts must see us as old

I've written plenty about the poor state of the escort industry as I see it, at least in the provinces. What I haven't thought about is that I'll be 67 next time around and that is... Old.

I'm not overweight, have a fairly full head of grey hair, and am in decent enough shape health wise. But I don't believe in the "60 is the new 40" or "70 is the new 50" bullshit. If you're heading towards your late 60s and 70 you are old, you may feel old, and you sure as shit look old. There's no denying it.

I know the theory is that escorts are only interested in money and as long as you have it they don't care how old you are or how you look. But I don't really believe it. Some may be professional enough to discount these things. But I'm pretty certain that many would prefer to entertain a guy in his 30s or 40s who looked OK rather than some old fucker with dentures and a limp (which I don't have, but you get my drift). The counter argument is that old or older men may be less demanding and less vigorous in rattling them. Not me, I'm still pretty vigorous and demanding.

The only comment I've had about age was from a bird last year who jokily said she hoped I wouldn't have an on the job heart attack, mild stuff and I mustered a laugh. I wasn't in the least offended, of course not, but I do remember it.

When I was last in Thailand after an absence of 15 or so years I noticed a big drop off in approaches from girls in bars or in the street compared to the previous time. And that's Thailand, where it's assumed money really is everything. They just didn't fancy hooking up with a guy in his 60s.

There are a lot of older escorts around here now, but there are some younger ones in their usually late 20s or 30s also. When those in their 20s open the door to a guy in his late 60s how do they feel? If it is, "I want to get this over and done with as quickly as possible and get rid of this wrinkly old prick", I wouldn't blame them. If we're old, they must see us as old, and are liable to respond accordingly. Yup, as the saying goes age doesn't come alone.

Strange you should say that. I was thinking exactly the same and am also the same age as you. Yes, I am feeling better than ever but that is because of a couple of recent blips: blindness in one eye and a sudden staggering gait plus shaking hands. If you are old enough to be their father or grandfather, only fair to let them know at the enquiry stage even though they may not have stipulated an upper age limit.

Think about me in my 70's. I tend to discount those under 50!

Age is but a number.

There are 20yo that I don't fancy and or can't engage in conversation with they tend not to be memorable meets as are ladies my age if those issues apply.
