Escort using / taking advantage of a punter?

Hello, I am writing on behalf of a friend. I discovered my best friend , my ex (I was his mistress) as it happens, has been seeing a escort. It's his first time seeing one and he is in his late 50s. He has only been seeing her. I discovered that she had been asking him for money to send to her son in Romania who was in hospital and he sent her in the region of £2,000. She texts him and emails often and he seems completely besotted with her. He claims he is getting a discount for repeated visits to pay back the 'loan' but I am just worried about him, he thinks she cares about him and she has taken pictures of them together on her phone and showed him pictures of her family etc so in his eyes he thinks she likes him more than just a punter.
I searched her number on Google and other escort pictures and names came up not the lady he has been seeing but he has told me to get out of his life and says that I am poisoning him against her because I am jealous. I admit I am but I also care about him as I think he is being used?
Maybe this is ok and acceptable or should he be careful?

Also, she had apparently been refused entry to the UK as part of a group as she said she had been working over here with a group of friends, but was ok getting in to uk on her own. Would this happen?

All sounds entirely predictable. If he's a soft touch, of course he is going to be taken advantage of.

Unfortunately people will do this in a whole host of situations, you have tried your best and as an adult only he can decide to do something about it - doesn't mean it isn't painful for you to watch or I to hear about it.

Yes I agree with Ruth. You have done what you can it won't be your fault if it gets worse. No reason not to carry on showing disapproval for his sake but in the end it's up to him.

This guy has told you to get out of his life,he's shown you lack of respect,So now this is really about you,forget about him find somebody to else to look after you.He'll soon come running back when this girls fleeced him out of every penny he's got.When he does come running back tell him to sling his hook and slam the door in his face.
