Is buying about to become illegal?

Is buying about to become illegal?

After reading the latest government report I'm concerned that the end is nigh, and we're going to get the nordic model of legal to sell sex, but illegal to buy. Any one more knowledgeable than me able to guess at the likely hood or the time scale of this? Jeremy corbyn also likes the nordic model, so I think both major parties are out to end it.

I would not worry. We will be tied up with sorting out the Economy and Brexit for at least the next year. You would have to get legislation drawn up debated etc... It is quite a process without all the other stuff going on

Oh that does make sense. Personally I think it's mostly fine the way it currently is, I don't see the need for either extreme, but then I'm not a politician! Thanks for your reply Chloe

Unless they have both done a volte-face Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell have been advocates for decriminalisation for many years

Corbyn did support decriminalisation in 2016,by 2018 it was the nordic model though he favoured!

This has been on the cards for a long time, rears it's head every so often. Yes it is a possibility also worth knowing when it's been brought in other countries have included clauses which make working, and finding accomodation very difficult for sex workers - so it really doesn't help anyone.

Periodically there are calls to write to your MP, English Collective of Prostitutes (ECP) sometimes provide templates also NUM/UKNSWP support a more progressive approach and often submit evidence in support of decriminalistion which is the sex worker favoured position, as well as argue against Nordic Model.

Both these organisations have their own websites, NUM/UKNSWP do a lot of safety work, arrange conferences attended by both sex workers and the authorities. They survive on a variety of funding sources, and donations are possible through their website (I also have a link on the front page of my own website).

FWIW the report you link to is not a government report. It's a report from the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission. This body may or may not be able to wield some influence with the current government, but note this rider at the foot of page 3 of the report:

The Conservative Party Human Rights Commission is independent of both Her Majesty’s
Government and the Conservative Party. The views and opinions expressed in this report do not
reflect the views and opinions of either the Government or the Conservative Party.

One of my recent punts a young escort asked me about our prostitution laws,i went through it quickly and told her the likelihood of what will happen. The Tory party and Jeremy Corbyn are all in favour of this,it will go this way.Brexit as been mentioned above this will definitely go ahead, deal or no deal, this as been dragging on far too long.

After so many years of punting i will be closing this avenue of pleasure,i am leaving Birmingham soon to move to another part of the country for personal reasons,i will be doing 3 or 4 last punts before i leave then i am quitting this hobby. It's cost me a marriage and far too much money.

Good luck to punters, escorts and especially the foreign WGs,they will need all the help they can get.

Sorry to be a spoilsport.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if this country went to shit
After brexit Making punting illegal would be right up that whole street
It will still happen undoubtedly but will be more dangerous for all involved then

I did a booking today it represented everything that is wrong about this industry.I booked this Asian escort in Birmingham i walked on her, then after 5 minutes i received a text telling me to go to this other address,i got there. It started pissing down with rain, bouncing 6 foot off the floor.I sent a text i was outside and this Asian guy came down to the main entrance,he looked a bit of a tosser,i did not feel threatened, would not have made any difference, pimps don't frighten me.If it had not been for the fact it was chucking down of rain i would have fucked off back home.Got to the flat she was hot,i told her "get rid of the pimp",he left the flat.

She was a pretty little flower of a thing, she told me "i was her first ever guest",of all the punters to break her in,it was me.

During the booking i told her "she is trafficked" she said "no because she volunteered ".I pointed out "if girls are brought into this country willingly or unwillingly they are Trafficked,it makes no difference if they are happy or unhappy. At the end of the booking "Pimp" came for his cut.

I left the punt disillusioned, empty and wondered,Why the fuck did i ever have anything to do with this business ? It was better before we went in the EU.

The parlours i visited in the past the women who worked in these places were usually single moms on benefits struggling to make ends meet or students struggling to pay uni fees.Parlours take a big chunk out of escorts money.I did not waste escorts time with half hour bookings,so atleast when i used to visit parlours they atleast got something out of me.

I quit this today,That Asian girl is the last escort who ever takes my money,i have deleted "all" escorts phone numbers from my contacts in my phone.Except for one venue i go to.If I'd have carried on punted when i move on i would have stuck out like a sore thumb,a brummie living and punting 100 miles away in a different part of the country.

I will never return to punting escorts. The fun as gone out of it !

But like the OP quoted "the end is nigh",it probably is.

Why go to someone like that and stay if you think or know a girl has a pimp
And believe is trafficked id be gone before could say bye

Chances are if punting so long you will continue it.
Go to ones that do it out of own free will and interests good ones and nice times can be had
What havent you had good times in these many years ?

Maybe it will be the end of the system thats here now sooner or later but there will always be punters and girls selling
If thats made illegal it will just make it more dangerous in general for all

Quit ... except one place?
Re: Is buying about to become illegal?

Confused... You've lost me,have a day off ! The one place i will not be quitting is a swinging club venue. It's already been quite clearly pointed out "they don't belong on this site" i didn't name the venue. You obviously did not like my response in the "favourite parlours thread".You do seem to be fishing with that parlour 50 Shades Massage Parlour in Manchester, this forum doesn't seem that busy.I thought you would have realised the reviews are dominated by punters who use the parlours in MK and HOD in London.Looking at this site there doesn't really seem to be many comments from the northern punters,i do not know why you keep asking about that parlour.I have often found if you want to know something or want something doing properly it's best to do it yourself.

I thought proper seasoned punters TOFTT !

You're another one of these forum users who edits posts down to suit yourself. You forgot the top bit of my comment.

"Last Post".

This topic is called,Is buying about to become illegal ? You have made no comments on it.

It would be interesting to know what your take on it is from my understanding reading between the lines The Nordic Model was brought in by some countries to tackle Trafficking, but it doesn't protect sex workers.I have had a belly full of meeting escorts who are controlled by pimps and WGs who are crackheads. This country is littered with Trafficked escorts.

That booking i did on Tuesday the punt itself was good paid her £200 for 2 hours and £40 for cim twice,i just felt terrible after the punt.If Sex God had read my post properly i went through with the booking because it was pissing down of rain,i was soaking wet and it was a 15 minute walk back to New Street Station.Punters who use independent escorts "see or have seen" trafficked escorts. They either don't care or they are blind ! Well i have had enough of it.

Whatever new laws are brought in or not i will not be losing sleep over it !

I have quit escorts, this punting site and others,it doesn't stop me from reading them though.I will soon be quitting Birmingham.

I look forward to reading Charlietons great contribution to this topic.

Farewell to Kings, Nuff Said !
Re: Is buying about to become illegal?

Short answer: Almost certainly no.

Long answer:

It's easy for a parliamentary working group to produce a biased report.

Unless there is support from the PM & the cabinet, it's much harder to get a biased outcome in actual policy making (though a few biased people can often stop a needed change in the law, which is something different.)

I think it's unlikely there will be a major change in the law in the next 5 years or so.
Some are worried about extreme feminism / MeToo, but these things don't always go one way, there's counter movements in the other direction (I don't mean mens rights which don't have much traction politically, at least not in the progressive circles I'm more familiar with. I mean movements driven largely by female activists, including WGs themselves.

That said, the long term status quo for punting is now looking less secure than it did a few years back. Especially is there is a continued rise in the percentage of WG's who appear to be coerced.

Nursery Crime - The Teddy Bears Picnic

If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise !

Cause mom and dad are having a shag
Uncle Frank is having a wank
Auntie Floss is giving a toss to grandad
Picnic time for every bear

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain
Because todays the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic

Every Teddy Bears who's been good
Is sure of a treat today
Nannies tasty pussy is there to eat
And her wonderful titties to play

Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll fuck and fuck as long as they please
Cause that's the way
The Teddy Bears have their picnic

You shouldn't have gone in the woods today
It was safer to stay at home
For all the bears that live in the grass
Are fucking each other, hard in the ass
So shield your bum, or be dragged in the
Teddy Bears orgy

The Teddy Bears are having a lovely time today
Groping in the undergrowth
Oh what would Enid Blyton say ?
See them gaily shaggin around
Collapsing on the ground
They haven't got any cares

At 12 o'clock the police are coming to take them all away
Cos they've been naughty little Teddy Bears

That's humour Charlie Boy,i would have rather fucked off on that note, than fucking off after meeting a trafficked escort.
