The demise of London saunas

Around 20 to 25 years ago, there must have been 50 odd saunas dotted around London with the ladies wearing white tunics. These seem to have mainly closed down now. I only know of a couple remaining - Lanacombe in Crouch End and Aqua in Hornsey. Any others still open? Did they all run out of customers?

Since punting went online very few guys want to stroll into one those anymore —
I remember tht sauna on Caledonian Road tht was always raided by police who wants to get caught out on tht.

It would start with a very poor massage then the lady would ask you to turn over. Seconds later she would ask you if you wanted extras. Seconds later, the white tunic would be off to reveal sexy undies. Seconds later you would be fucking her on the massage bench.

Was that Beverley Hills?Great sauna with cracking girls.Sadly missed.

The good old days!

Two favourite saunas,one in Luton town centre,Maxines and a fab one in Kentish Town,can't remember the name.

There are only a couple of these saunas left now in London as far as I am aware. Aqua Sauna which looks like a boarded up building and the Crouch End Sauna, which used to have around 10 girls every day but now has just one or two.

There are still ; Mirage sauna in Colindale, and The Dolls House in Potters Bar

I was researching the same subject earlier today and have now found your reviews on here. The Lanacombe and Aqua saunas were fronts for prostitution and the Madam who owned tham, and a few more besides, was done for it and had to pay £3 million in proceeds of crime fines. She was 64 years old and died three years later. Her daughter now owns them, apparently, but claims to lease them out and hasn't a clue what goes on there. The reviews I have read (including several for Crouch End (Lanacombe) on this forum mention only the encounters with the masseuses - they never mention an actual sauna, so I still don't know whether they had/have one. If they are till open (coronavirus aside), maybe someone will tell us one day. They're too far out for me to visit on the offchance.

There is also a Libby's Sauna at 162-164 The Grove, Stratford E15 1NS, but again, is it just in the name?

I remember the old days with great affection. The only one I have seen and visited in the last few weeks has been the Mandarin Oriental Palace in Gravesend (seven minutes by car from the M25, near the tunnel. They do a nice sensual massage too.

Yes it was Beverly Hills.Guy that owned it also owned Maxine's in Luton and a couple of my favourite girls from Maxine's ventured up there.Two stunning blondes Jo and Sophie.Sophie went on to become Honey at City Girls MK.

Are there any old fashioned sauna places left for massage in London these days? Or anywhere else in England?
