Make Buying Sex a Crime is Back on the Agenda
May 21, 2018 14:32
An All-Party group of MPs has issued a report saying buyers of sex should be criminalised and web sites advertising sex services should be banned.

[news.sky.com]

This is prompted by the apparent growth in Pop-Up brothels which, they say, is leading to an increase in trafficking.

After buyig sex was made illegal in Northern Ireland I did a little research and found that there was no decrease in the quantity of workers advertising on line there (if anything it went up) and prices remain stable. We have no direct mesure of 'Demand' or how this was affected by the NI legislation but, although I don't have a PhD in economics, if supply stays the same and prices don't fall then I might conclude that the NI Act had no effect on demand.

I hope everyone on here would be aware of the possibility of trafficking, would not support establishments were WG are forced to work against their will and would report any such places through Crime Stoppers, but I see no reason why consenting adults should not exchange sexual services for money.

Just as a natural reaction, I find it hard to believe the activity of punters wouldn't decrease if the activity itself became illegal.

So that means I don't think dave451 is correct about demand but I have nothing but my natural reaction and the fact I assume I would stop punting.

As for his final paragraph, up to 'Stoppers', i think the proportion doing as he hopes would be smaller each time.

The bit from 'but' is then his opinion as a principle but needs to be seen in terms of how any proposed law is worded.
Re: Make Buying Sex a Crime is Back on the Agenda

The hope of the legislators in Northern Ireland, and other places that have introduced Nordic-type laws, is that demand would decrease, so trafficking would be less profitable and also decrease. The trouble with this is that there is no evidence to support such claims and my NI study showed no decrease in the numbers of places advertising after the law was introduced. Sweden has the most draconian laws and the police there have very wide enforcement powers, but try 'Stockholm Escort' in any search engine and it returns hundreds of WG's sites.

I fully agree that trafficking, whether for sex work or any other form of forced labour, needs to be policed rigerously and criminals brought to trial. However, Nordic type laws give the police easy targets (the punters) so they will have less reason to go after the real criminals who are running traffiking rings. Such laws also push the industry more into the shadows and so, according to ECP, make WGs lives more hazardous.

I certainly agree that if a Nordic Law is introduced then punters will be less inclined to call Crime Stoppers if they suspect a WG is working against her will and police do rely on such leads to bust places were illegal activites are happening.
Re: Make Buying Sex a Crime is Back on the Agenda

This agenda raises it's head fairly regularly. The pressure to crack down will remain and the biggest potential problem for consenting adults involved in paid for sex would be closing down internet advertising.

I don't think it can be practically done unless the UK government goes down an out of character censorial modus operandi.

Just in case I an building up my own database of contact details of already seen and potential future possibilities.

Am I overreacting?

i reckon a large number of Male MP's - tory and labour - use hookers. so I cant see them banning it.

Nonsense, they would be able to identify a way round the law they are putting into place.

Us punter joes haven't got the staff and the nous and the money and the contacts to be able to avoid arrest while they will only be cited 14 years after their deaths.

Yeah, mistakes happen when learning how to navigate, and use a site properly Charlie. Sarcasm will do nothing to encourage new members!

He most likely was joking NC, but some new members could get put off when they get sarcasm thrown at them when they have just joined a forum, and are just learning how to use the site. Fortunately for me, I'm made of tougher stuff, but some others may not be.

Yes I certainly was joking but apologies if it came across to you in a different way.

Sometimes when there are so few comments being made on this forum, it is tempting to say something/anything to just keep the wheels turning however slowly.

One thing that makes reading this forum clunky to me is the quoting of long previous posts that look longer still because they are split into shorter lines. But that's how the forum is set up.

Apology accepted charlieton. We need to be mindful that some newbies could be put off wanting to make any comments if they make any mistakes and then find themselves getting sarcastic comments aimed at them. I'm sure that what you said wasn't said/meant in a hurtful way, but as said some newbies could be put off, and shy away from contributing to the forum if this happens to them We most certainly don't want to go down the same, or similar dirt track as UKP.

it seems we face this every year or so-however this time the campaign seems to be highly co-ordinated.

Bristol university has been selected to produce a report on the industry-its also rumored that they are very pro Nordic model we need to watch this carefully.

You dont know how right you are.A few MPs over the years have been caught with their pants down.I know of a retired Tory councillor who visits escorts. He's been doing it for years.

The coppers have raided a few brothels in wolvo. The one knocking shop was in prosser street lol.

Reminded me of a couple of brothels i visited years ago.One was a couple of doors from the social security (great memories of this one i went through all the girls who worked there over about a 10 year period) and another one was opposite the police station, that was really rubbing it in.

Most of the brothels i visited from the early 90s till about 10 years ago in small towns and estates in the West Midlands were all closed down by the police and local councils.

Ironic i know of a retired Tory Councillor who has visited escorts for many years, and yet its local councils who shut down brothels i visited years ago.

"Brexshit" A bit off topic,i think you mean brexit.

As far as i'm aware in order for european escorts to stay here they will have to start off by applying for a tempory visa. They will have to prove their ID,where they live, what they are doing here and pay tax.

I cant see anything wrong with that.

The last 6 or 7 escorts i visited told me they had never payed tax while they have been in England, only booking fees. One Spanish escort even asked me "What does paying tax mean" i think she was taking the piss. Before moving to London 2 years ago she had been on AW and VS in Leicester,Birmingham and Wolverhampton. She must have known it was against the law not to pay tax in England.

I'm not sure what will happen to European escort agencies in London, but i can guess.

I dont think it will make much difference to Hamiltons,Sugarbabes,Bijoux,Allure and the Asian escort agencies.

Englands greatest pornstar, who i visited 3 times in Leicester and Nottingham told me she voted to leave the EU because foreign escorts are stealing work off english girls in her own country, not much you can say to that, tbh.

Brexshit means brexshit lol.

Is it soft is it hard who knows.

This is very on topic as i said who knows what crazy laws they make once out of eu
Adopting a model of a country that criminalises paying sex workers could be one of them
Like its in france or sweden.

Yeah i bet some british working ladies will celebrate that the competition is being shown the door but as it says above
Perhaps not celebrate to soon ha

From a punters perspective you must think this is shit that many of your romanian girls you like will not come to england any more
My guess is most wont bother especially if its made hard for them to come. Instead they will flood germanies brothels etc etc

As for me i always thought the london punting scene is very good i hope it stays good.
Im not interested in seeing escorts at 400 pounds an hour so i do hope many eastern european and russian ladies
Do decide to come here still after this disaster
Re: Make Buying Sex a Crime is Back on the Agenda

I will grant you that,we do have crazy laws in England on prostitution,Seems to me proper parlours are having loads of shit off coppers with nothing else better to do.So we agree on that.

No i dont think Austria & Germany would be to happy with people from EE flooding there countries neither would Holland and Belgium etc.

When i visited escorts i did not have a favoured country where they came from.I did prefer Asian,Latin,Indian and English girls to EE escorts.

Russia is not in the EU,neither is Norway,Switzerland,Iceland,Ukraine,Turkey,Albania,Macadonia,Belarus,Armenia or Kosovo.

I hardly punt escorts nowadays,i do go to private club in Birmingham, went yesterday banged sexy Megan 3 times (had two,one to ones with her) and gave her RO she loved it lol.All that for 50 quid.I'll be having some more of her tomorrow lol.

Happy for sure not but as they have an open door policy the girls will go there instead
At least many of them will. I hope many will still make the effort to come to london

Prices like that are impossible in london sadly. And anything near to that money will be shit most likely

Yes,I know London is expensive.Central London is a rip off place.Black cabs charged me £23 from Marylebone to Chelsea Cloisters, and when escorts phoned me a taxi back about £21.The fuckin journey is less than 4 miles,up here about £7 or £8 for 4 miles.Everything is nearly double in price in central London.

You like PSE,so do i.Why dont you give that Phoenix Club a try ? At 1pm at its least busiest session.Girls who go to these parties can take a long hard pounding, they dont complain. They love it.They have a sexy Polish girl Ivana, she's a really lovely girl to talk to.Right up your street, have a couple of one to ones with her.She gives top notch BJ and pound her for a long time.If you dont like it,What you got to lose ? £160.

You look at brexit only from the punting side of it.I dont think any country should have an open door policy. It just causes resentment, which is what happened here.I remember the day after the referendum i read many comments off The Dutch,Belgians and Germans that they were jealous of us,they wanted a vote on it as well because they are pissed off with being stuck in the EU.

Yeah ive known of the phoenix parties for a long time havent yet visited one though
Not sure if i wouldnt find it off putting with all them geezers there. Price wise for sure good who knows maybe i will try it some time
I do like a good pse going at it hard best is when its mixed with gentle too and vary the pace all the time.
Polish girls are for sure my favourite its a shame they seem to be getting less and less at least on the agencies.
On aw there might be some decent ones will have to try some i guess.

Whats more important than the brexit really is what they do afterwards with laws and so on a good relationship with the eu is vital.
Ofcourse i also hope from the punting view that they dont drastically change the law on it and make it illegal.

SG until you try one you wont know,we all have to try new things in life,The ratio is exellent for guys at The Phoenix Club, these places aint as bad as you think. This club is a flat with 3 bedrooms, the living room has been turned into a bedroom. Its just round the corner from Marylebone train station (2 minute walk).

They have loads of model type looking babes there.I went to 2 sessions in one day, took me about 5 days to recover lol.I'm planning on going again soon.

Try a 2hr session, you may even like it.

I know you like polish babes, thats why i mentioned Ivana. You would love her she is sexy as hell.

I read about a month ago they want to make it illegal, close down AW & Vivastreet and ban sites that advertise service providers. This is lunacy,if girls want and enjoy being paid for sex (well why not),as long as they are not forced into it.

I hope the proper parlours like those 3 in Northampton and others like them in different parts of the country dont start getting crap off coppers with fuck all else better to do.Girls who work in these places should be left alone.

Hmm maybe i will try it not sure

Close down aw and other sites that would be crazy
Yeah for sure girls should be able to do this work if they choose to
Its their body they should be allowed to do with what they want

Parlours are technically illegal in the uk so they will always be at the mercy
Of the police unless the laws change to make them legal
They should be legal its a good safe place to work for girls
Only places that force girls to work should be shut down
