Providers Review Too - & here's 1 of the ways they do.

In N.Ireland/Ireland it is now against the law to purchase sexual services ( not to sell them). UglyMugs is a site for sex workers safety, sharing info on punters ( including their phone numbers and contact details). Set up to warn about violent /abusive men, it is unfortunately, now listing punters who have not turned up for or cancelled appointments. According to someone who uses it, it seems to also be being used ( by a few) to post serious lies about people who leave or threaten to leave bad reviews. This site is sharing your phone numbers. This site also shares info with the police. I only know of this because someone I know, who uses the site, told me about it.

I for one welcome this type of action. Punters should be respectful at all times, with both the girls and/or the agencies they book them through. The working girls are the most important thing to consider here; their safety and security should be paramount. Also, punters not turning up can be a huge problem, especially if they are doing it all the time.

All punters should be careful about booking independent girls, and try only to book those that have a good reputation. When girls lie about clients saying this and that, or doing this and that, it's hard to refute if the client has no-one to go to for sure; but when using an agency, you always have the agency to speak to. We have mediated quite a few problems between girls and their clients successfully, and we realise that it's not always the client's fault. Girls who try to lie and manipulate get taken off our website immediately.

Ugly Mugs have been around for a number of years and are a great organisation. Luckily we have not had to deal with them. I think good Escort Agencies can spot a bad customer on the phone so we manage to weed out most of them.

They have set up shortly after my armed robbery experience, they've provided advice and support for me and other SPs since then including liaising with police and providing advice about the police (police sometimes do some misguided things).

Their website accepts serious reports, they don't accept reports of time wasting or no shows. Only real danger or actual crimes. They also have worked to provide evidence to improve legislation around sex work, and been involved in organising research, conferences in conjunction with sex workers, police, health and outreach services.

Full phone numbers are not shared, they delete part and provide a description as well as warnings about dangerous punters, convicted criminals who pose a threat to general public, women or sex workers.

If someone decides to make up a serious crime story about a time waster, or late arrival then yes that is unfair, but this organisation on the whole is there to help protect, and advise sex workers as well as work with the police to capture and convict perpetrators of crimes against sex workers. I've seen the warnings and reports, not easy reading. Do be aware sex worker recipients of warnings are instructed to not share warnings with clients or anyone who is not a sex worker.
