The one thing I'd do differently if I was starting out now, rather than in '76

A quiet Saturday night after an outing today to see a Thai. She was nothing special, late 30s or early 40s maybe, but an OK experience.

Not like last weekend, when I went twice to see Pretty Coco Thai, who said she was 26, was very attractive and was great, as I've said elsewhere. I also said there seem to be a few "Coco's" around, just hope you get lucky and get the one I saw.

When I went to see Coco the second time last Saturday I thought she was so cute that my main objective was to get her on camera, as a memento. Even a single picture of her face. She wàs hesitant, reluctant, but at the end of the hour I gave her forty quid and got a couple of minutes of film, no nudity, but I was delighted to get it and will hang on to it for sure.

Since I started out I've been with well over 2,000 escorts or Thai bar girls, Filipino go go dancers, Brazil, India and wherever. 50 x 40 a year, easily 2,000. Sometimes when flights were cheap and prices in these places were low - before the internet and before Pattaya and places like it became so famous and commercialised as they are now - it might be 40 in one trip. In a previous post I asked: "How many can you remember?" And the answer in my case is very few, maybe 50 or so at most.

As the numbers build up it's inevitable that the memories slip away. There isn't the brain space for them. I regret that now and think it was a bit of a waste, or a helluva waste, although of course I'd have enjoyed it at the time. This makes me think about the one thing I'd have done differently if I was starting out now as opposed to '76, and that's because of one thing that wasn't available back then and wasn't for much of my career - the mobile phone.

For decades photos involved cameras and film and the very awkward and sometimes undoable business of getting them developed at Boots. And going into a local store with a reel of Thai beauties just wasn't on. Now one easy click and it's done. In the UK some escorts might refuse a face shot but for a few quid most would agree. I now download and file genuine photos on VS or AW. But I have camera shots as well.

In the countries I mentioned it would be absolutely no problem getting a photo or a film clip of the vast majority of girls.

I wish I now had a mobile phone treasure trove of even half or a quarter of these girls, including in the UK before I ever thought about getting a mobile phone. It'd be amazing to look back on, as a life well lived. By Christ it would. That's what I would do differently. The phone has changed everything. When you're younger you steam ahead and maybe think you'll remember it all for ever. Why bother taking photos even now when it's so easy... But you absolutely won't. And when you're older you'll regret that you know so much happened, and you've nothing to remember it by.

Having a 'smart' mobile phone has been a kind of enabler for me,

I was always notorious amongst my peer group for always possessing a 'brick' phone with functions limited to calls and text.
Got my first internet enabled phone maybe 2 years ago and guess I wouldn't be punting if it wasn't for that.
