Burning sensation around the head of the penis. Causes?

I am experiencing a burning sensation around the head of the penis. (Is the correct term 'glans'? )

I get it only when the penis is erect. Otherwise, I have no pain. And even when I experience the burning sensation, it is mild.

No discharge. No foul odour. Otherwise, I am in good physical health.

What might be causing it? In February, I had unprotected oral sex with an escort.* Would it have caused it? In the mornings, when I wake up, I'm also getting a mild irritation of the eyes. Are these two symptoms connected to one STD?

I have ordered a home testing kit from my local NHS Sexual Health Clinic. I phoned them to get an appointment. But, as you might have guessed, due to the current public health crisis, they are not seeing any patients in their premises. Instead, I was advised to apply online for the STI Test Kit.

While I wait for the kit to arrive, it would be good to have your advice. Any guy here had this issue?

(* Since February, I have not seen an escort. However, I did experience this mild pain a few hours after I visited her. Then, I experience the pain only when the penis is erect. Otherwise, I have no problems.)

I suggest you talk to your GP. They are not keen to see people now, but mine is happy to do phone calls.

Did the test kit arrive?

Sorry for the delay in responding.

The test kit arrived quickly. It was an efficient service. And all is good. I was worrying about nothing.

However, if anyone else has any symptoms that might worry you, do please phone your local Sexual Health Clinic or see a GP. This was the first time I used an online health service for this. And it was a good experience.

Not applicable in my area, so I was directed to the paid Fettle service.

Just got the all clear off Lloyds.

Meeting wasn't flowing, partly we didn't relate to each other, partly she had a bad back.

Anyway she offered OWO and I said yes, did cim for only 4th time which was a treat, but then 2 weeks worrying before the test and then all clear.
