They now want to go after escort directories too (the proposed Scotland bill as well as the Online Safety Harms Bill for the UK). I don't know how they plan to enforce that however since not all escort directories are based in the UK. It depends on the area of Scotland, Edinburgh police tend to be more supportive of sexworkers than the rest of the country and tolerate sexworkers who workby YourSlavius - General Discussion
Update: Ash Regan has resigned as Minister for Community Safety. She has been replaced by Elena Whitham SNP MSP for Carrick, Cumnock & Doon Valley who will take her role to push through criminalisation sexwork laws in Scotland. People in Scotland- it's time to write/email to your MSP. This will be coming soon.by YourSlavius - General Discussion
This is a copy of the email I sent to my MSP and MP which might be of interest, I recommend anyone else in Scotland contacts their MSP+MP as well. If you or have been a sexworker make a point of saying so as this will give your voice more weight. Be careful what you say re Ukraine and sexwork. Don't say anything that makes it look like you want to exploit any woman who may be in a desperate situation. There is an upcoming attempt by MSP Ash Denham (see the thread I made) to introduce the Nordic Model in Scotland. As you can see by this article some are trying to use the current conflict in Ukraine to stir-up emotions and drum uby YourSlavius - General Discussion

Ash Denham MSP wishes to introduce the "Nordic Model" for Scotland. This is a set of laws which have been implemented in Sweden, Iceland, Ireland (Northern and Republic), France and a few others. One of these laws is to criminalise the paying for sex. Supporters of this claim it will "tackle men's demand".
