Its not harsh to want to know what we look like. I dont show my whole face and nor will I ever, I will show mine the day punters have to show their ID and thereby throw their real identities into the game too. Anyone booking me knows then that they do not know fully what my face looks like. Those who ask for a picture are declined, may aswell post my face all over the place if im going to send it to a total stranger, he might anyway. They then have the choice to make the booking or not. THATS where a guy gets to decide. My pictures are selfies, other than cropping off the top of my face I dont edit them so no one can arrive at my door and claim I do not look like my pictures, I dont even have lipstick on in some of them plus I offer to wear any outfit from any picture if someone is in doubt its me although why anyone would post out a 46 year old bait and switch is beyond me lol, if I was going to do that Id probably be 30 on aw instead thumbs up

Its harsh to walk away if we dont show our faces online just because the punter has dreamed up an imaginary face for us, which he gets attached too, then arrives and huffs off because our real faces didn't appear in his imaginationland. Its one thing to get a text "sorry luv youre just not my cup of tea" compared to "sorry luv youre just not how I IMAGINED you'd look". First, fair enough although its warning site worthy (timewaster) second, get lost, thats HIS fault for being daft enough to think we look anything like a dreamed up person.

Punters DO text around begging for discounts, all the time. In Mk theres a guy who texts girls when they have a special offer, for eg I had a £50 half hour offer once because it was DEAD, so he texted me 'ill give ya £25'. We get asked for a 'special deal' for a long booking 'a whole hour'. I get at least three 'hey still doing the blo and go" which was started I hear in desperation by a Northampton parlour because they were so dead, constantly, Ive never offered that, never will. Its a walk in, chuck £30 on the bed and undo your zipper for a 5 minute suck service, so I never will. Christmas is worst, everyone puts out discounts so guys think were all desperate for the work but really its just because if we dont we end up being the only one in town who isnt lol, so the cheap offers start flooding in. Im not this year, Im pre prepared lol, finally

I understand why escorts hide their faces i tended to book the ones who did not hide or partially disguised their faces.

I have seen a profile on AW this escort gives discounts for leaving her FBs & FRs.

I was told a pakistani escort had death threats off her family when they found out she did escorting sad smiley

Id be highly surprised if it wasn't still happening. Sorry but having knowledge of how the industry works behind the scenes, id say nowadays its even more likely lol. Ive met so many who do it and I mainly worked in one town for one company apart from the odd other brothel id worked in for a short time here and there over the years. So if I met that many in one town, I cant imagine that every other commuter town around London wasn't and still isnt the same. Remember, blurred faces, different names, even different pictures sometimes with a different photographer. They dont want the expensive agencies to know they are working in the ordinary places too, nor their London clients. Of course right this minute there may not be any, in mk, if not, there likely will be within the week because all it takes is one and if an agency is a good earner they will tell their friends who they trust and they will apply for work at that parlour outside of London too, thats how the mk parlours ended up sharing so many of the lady marmalade party girls, nothing planned, just escorts going back and for the telling each other they were both good places to work, so party girls came to mk and mk escorts ended up going and doing parties. its all a cycle this industry, each avenue feeds into another. Dont think for a second they are not all linked by the ladies themselves working in more than one arena or same arena but different area and price range. Called hedging your bets. Some of those super expensive girls have done the gang bangs too lol

I know what you mean, but i keep my own thoughts about that to myself.

People from different countries and religions should learn to get on with each other.

They frown upon prostitution but many of them go to greedy girl parties and see escorts.

Agency girls in London told me alot of rich arabs booked them.

But so do MPs and councillors lol.

While I'm not unsympathetic to your underlying point, you miss the fundamental reality that you are selling services and the onus is always on the seller to convince the buyer, not the other way around. I can fully understand why an escort wouldn't want to show her face, but it's not realistic to equate that with the buyer of your services revealing his own face. An escort who posts face pictures is likely to get more bookings. A punter who sends his face picture gains no advantage from doing so at all.

This is adding two and two to make six. If you don't publish your face picture and I come to the door, meet you, and say "no thanks" it's NOT because I've dreamed up an imaginary face. It's because I don't find you attractive. Nothing more and nothing less. Believe it or not, if I go and see a girl based on her body pic, I don't wonder what her face looks at all. I hope I find it attractive but as I'll soon be meeting her, why wonder (and, anyway, I have plenty of other things to keep my mind occupied in the meantime.)

While asking for discounts has never been my own style, I can't really see why it's offensive? Commerce is commerce. It takes less than a second to say "no" or even "fuck off". The fact is, punting is an industry where for better or for worse, you can negotiate because the industry is entirely unregulated and it does sometimes pay off if that's what you want to do. Indeed, sometimes you don't even have to negotiate as girls will offer deals to you without being asked. In the end, you control who you see and in any line of work, arseholes (who are sometimes also clients) go with the territory.

When i have visited escorts who have hid their faces i have just hoped when i get to her door she is hot,if not i am off on my way and phoned another escort who is close by.These have all been bookings on VS.I have never booked an escort on AW who's hid her face so you cant see anything what she looks like. She could confirm the booking and leave you negative feedback or even worse put your phone number on the escorts forum or twitter.

This is one of the minefields of punting i can understand escorts hiding their faces because they do not want family members finding out what they are doing.Indian and Pakistani escorts have to be very careful.

This Indian girl Miss Sunita Sunita has done a good job of her pics a punter can see enough of her that she is sexy and at the same time she can keep it a secret smiling smiley.

It doesn't help when some punting sites allow escorts pics to be posted on them,i do not agree with this, surely the link to a girls profile is enough. Why do they do it ?.I bet they do not ask the escorts permission if they can do this.

I cant see much wrong with asking for a slight discount,i have done it with escorts who charge a bit more to see them. They usually say "yes" on a afternoon when they are not very busy.

As I said above, totally agree. If the escort doesn't want to offer a discount she'll say no. Simple. If it's ok for a girl to proactively offer me a discount for regular bookings (which happens quite often-after a good punt where you get on, many girls will say they'd like to "work something out") why would it not be ok to ask her the same question?

Unless i have read it wrong, you started the "SAAFE" Forum off.I did not know that and was surprised to say the least.

Funny enough i exposed a guy last October who bullies escorts on a punting site (that is only used by a small number of guys and a couple of escorts),i even gave proof of it.

.
It disgusted me that not single member of that site was interested.

I may not be liked by some on punting sites (not that it bothers me),but nobody could ever accuse me of bullying escorts.I was mainly an agency user i did quite a few return visits to about 7 or 8 escorts and a moldovian duo they were all happy to see me again,if i had treated any escorts badly they would have told the receptionists not to send me to them again.Thats how it works on escort agencies in London.

Carolina is happy to see me again smiling smiley.

Most of the escorts i met in London asked me to return back to them, some i did and some i didn't.It would have cost me an absolute fortune to return to all of them, the visits i did do cost me hell of a lot of money.

Are you saying you think I started SAAFE, if so yes you have read something wrong.

I do use SAAFE but I have nothing to do with the creation, admin or running of the site and never have. I have met one of the admin team in person once when I was on holiday in their area, another couple of times at the UKNSWP/NUM conferences.
Re: Fed up with trying to work!!! Advice

The history of SAAFE can be found here it was started before I was ever involved in sex work;

[saafe.info]

Quote from their page;

SAAFE was started in a ladies forum in October 2003 by myself (Brandy) and Sarah-Jane. At the time I was the moderator of a punting forum and administrator of said ladies forum on Puntingzone. I was always being asked advice on various things and so was Sarah-Jane. We said to each other, instead of writing the same advice to different would-be escorts all the time, how about we set up a website sharing the collective advice and views of not just ourselves, but of various other escorts, too?

We tried to think up a good name that would embody what we'd like the advice site to be all about. We would also have to buy the domain with the same name. I thought of the acronym SAFE for a url but unfortunately it was taken, but SAAFE wasn't, and thus Support and Advice for Escorts was born. Sarah Jane, being the most techy-minded out of the two of us set up the website and between the two of us asked other escorts for their contributions to our new site. This way, we thought it could be a collaboration of sorts: escorts sharing what they thought to be the best advice, sharing their experiences of being an internet-based escort and the advantages and disadvantages of such.

There were quite a handful of ladies to start off with: Melanie, Celine, Beth of Kettering and Sunni Tara to name but a few who contributed to SAAFE. But as time went by, people moved on and it was just myself and Sarah Jane left. For a good long while we ran it on our own and wrote quite a few of the articles ourselves. We would and will still ask for contributions from other escorts as we always thought it would be good to get different viewpoints on varying subjects, from ways of working to dealing with timewasters. We dealt with such important points in our own way. If you care to look through the main site itself you can see varying contributions from other ladies throughout the years. There is a great article on copyright theft ably written by Rhia Charles, for example.

In January 2007 – a few years ago already! – we thought it might be a good idea to have a forum. It was becoming increasingly impossible to write more and more articles on SAAFE itself as there are so many aspects to this job that it was becoming difficult to cover everything. So the forum was born. We encouraged ladies to sign up and ask whatever was on their mind. But sadly, over the last year, due to constant grief Sarah-Jane suffered at the hands of others in this industry (if you are new and reading this, I'm afraid you will find that this job is far from a bed of roses) she thought it might be a good idea to take a back seat with SAAFE, so she handed over her half of the reins to me. Seeing as she had new interests to move on to in her personal life, she thought it was the right time to leave. And she did, the bloody woman left me holding the bag. Nah, just kidding!

I'm far from on my own. To this day I'm still a technophobe, so I enlisted the help of the best webmistress in the business. She gets things done yesterday and nothing is ever too much (or too little) for her to do on SAAFE. I call her the 'Janitor', because she keeps this place ticking over. She also happens to be a working girl so she's multifaceted. When the next best thing in internet technology came along, RSS Feeds, which we could attribute to our warnings part of the forum, she was the person in the know and pulled us into the 21st century and set it up.

Then there is Penny's Buddy Scheme which she herself devised and asked us if we could set it up here as she thought it would be of the most benefit to new working girls. I myself have been a working girl for the past 7 years now and I've seen and heard a lot in this business that I can share with others if asked. So between the three of us (and with Sarah Jane lurking in the background whenever I need her) I can safely say that we have well over 20 years between us in this business.

You may notice that all who are involved in Saafe are not only all women, but all working girls. We deliberately set it up that way and it's the ethos I feel SAAEFE should carry on with. There is, and has never been any non-sex-worker involvement in this site. Our belief is that if you haven't made a living selling your body then your input is not required in the building and maintenance of this site and what it stands for. Nobody understands more than a sex worker what advice to give to other sex workers. But that's not to take away from one or two members that post on SAAFE's forum: Ian, formerly of SW5 has been a godsend to this forum with his knowledge of the industry. There is also an article written by a male driver who rents out his services to escorts, offering his perspective on his job, and several members of sex worker support organisations have forum membership, too. All non-sex-worker forum posts are clearly marked, though, so that you know who is saying what.

But all that you see SAAFE is now and has become has been built from the hands of escorts. No, I tell a lie. The male webmaster at escort agency Fun Times was kind enough to do us a couple of banners that other escorts could place on their websites to help spread the word. Sarah Jane hated building banners; me, don't ask. That has been the only male involvement in its five and a half year existence. So now you know who owns and runs SAAFE. The names I've mentioned here are it. If anybody tries to tell you that they've had a hand in any aspect of SAAFE, be it the main site, the forum or the RSS Warnings Feed, it's wishful thinking on their part I'm afraid. There is very little that I and the other ladies do not know as far as being an escort goes. And what my webmistress doesn't know about building websites isn't worth knowing.

If you're new to the business then know that the women who run this site are very capable escorts indeed.

An Update to the History of SAAFE – 2013
Since the above was written, some of the personnel have changed but the ethos remains.

Anika Mae was an active and much appreciated moderator on the message board for several years, as was Louise and Emily Jones. Some continue working, others have retired in favour of other interests.

The running of the main site and its forum are now in the amply capable hands of Amy Vergnes, Daisy, and the Janitor, all female and all working ladies. We do have one resident male, Ian, formerly of the SW5 project for male and trans sex workers. What with his background his advice is as invaluable to sex workers as any escort and we're glad (and he is very honoured) that we persuaded him to join the SAAFE forum moderation team.

I read it wrong, very sorry for that.I know what you mean its difficult when you use smaller device to access the net (you made similar comments on another thread),i do not have laptop or computer i use phone and a tablet. So it is easy to make spelling mistakes and get a bit mixed up reading on the net.Sadly smaller devices do not have spell checkers on them sad smiley

At the moment my back is giving me some jip lol,so i go to bed when i am dead tired.I was being a nosey git and looking at your website (hope you dont mind lol).It says on your website that you are lovely.

I am sure in real life you are smiling smiley

Thank you I'm flattered you took the time, and yes quite a few people are surprised by my politics - but that doesn't mean I am blinded or don't consider other view points.

Chronic pain can be exhausting, and yes sleep does help in my experience. I hope yours improves.

It says on your website "sites i use",SAAFE support for escorts,i thought you wrote that out then i presumed you was one of the founders of that site,my mistake.I think you copied or pasted it from their website.

I am all for the SAAFE forum it is good for escorts to support each other and pass on information about dangerous and dodgy punters, but i dont think so much of the petty stuff posted on it.

Problem is when you get shit punters they can easily change their numbers,i actually think escorts are safer to work on agencies, because receptionists deal with the comms.

Yes and often the agencies do not pass the client's contact details on, when there's an issue the SP can't report and has to rely on the agencies. Quite a few agencies also don't check the person is where they say they are, just send Escorts out on the back of a mobile phone call..............their reasoning being "She's with a driver". Well yes but that means 2 x people timewasted if the person isn't there, during which they could have been seeing a far more likely bet. Nothing is fool proof but I've heard a lot of different tales about agencies, some may be effective, I do believe they are useful for SPs who don't want to have to handle their own advertising, enquiries, screening, diary etc which is fair enough. The problem with a third party is that they are in effect one step removed from the coal face so to speak, which may be a good thing or a bad thing. Just depends.

Yes they do change numbers however many don't, and there are a few characters who are recognised by their MO highly documented on SAAFE which has saved many SPs from accepting his bookings.

SAAFE has helped confirm suspicions which is often reassuring, the trick is to develop screening skills to avoid some of the petty warning types.

I have a list of 'helpful' site links at the side of my blog, I include a link to SAAFE because I consider it useful - certainly has been for me.

I dont know anything about outcalls,i did incalls and i only used escort agencies in London, they must have something in place for protection and London is crawling with CC cameras.I have not read or heard comments that agency girls in London have been assaulted,i have read too many comments that independent escorts have threatened, assaulted, raped etc.

I do not have any time for these type of punters.

I have a suspicion many agencies don't want to go public with reports.

There was a horrendous case some years ago agency Escort, outcall to busy hotel, client imprisoned her for 12 hours, beating and assaulting her continuously. Alarm only raised when her husband got home after a night out to find she hadn't returned, police found her still tied up in the room. The booking wasn't an overnight.

Also in my experience and talking to others both on forums and in person, actual attacks are rare however timewasting, harassment, stalking, general messing around are incredibly common. SAAFE has helped with that, as has being in touch with other independents both by private [work] email, AW, and various forums. I also use the UKNSWP/NUM warning and checking system which has varying results.

Alarms are a good idea and often given out by outreach services as well as police, also easily bought online.

Not sure if you recall I'm sure I posted about my own 'incident' which really made me wake up, until then I never thought I'd be targeted so had become complacent.

Yes i replied to that post.I dont want to ask details of what happened ? how you felt ? That is to intrusive and most likely be painful memories.

Did they catch that thug ? Did he go to prison ?

I trust you had help and support after such traumatic experience.
