Corona virus will it end punting

I'm wondering if the current situation will wipe out punting. I expect trade is almost on eexistent and the girls still have to their rents and fees etc.I expect those that can from abroad left .Those now unable face an uncertain future as I dobt the financial packages will apply as they live under the radar mostly
.

I don't think it will wipe out punting, but I am sure the industry will take a long time to recover. When it does, I don't think it will be too different from the pre-virus scene.

I have a suspicion there is still potential for trade, assuming some of the people who have contacted me would go ahead - but that isn't always a result of an enquiry and I suspect at least the usual amount of game playing if not more.

I am however for the current time turning down every booking, a few have cancelled and unless something changes in the next few weeks more will be cancelled.

Like many, one wonders how many girls can cover their overheads without income.

And after lockdown, many punters will be skint as they will have lost jobs or been on 80% money. So less disposable income

Haven't punted since last summer but after christmas I decided I was going to save up a few pennies and start again around Easter time; then C-19 hoved into view and I resigned myself to being faithful to Ms Wrist for a good while longer. Many of the enquiries described above have I have discovered, been people who are time wasters, have a history of such or warnings issued about them. Genuine actual clients seem to be being patient, understanding and also expressing genuine mutual concern. The genuine concern and appropriate contact has been lovely, refreshing and to me says a lot about the punter/client - me relationship. In other words says as much about them as it says about me.

On the other hand CV-19 has enabled me to communicate how disrespectful the TWs are at this time, might be a game to them but it's a serious situation and so they are being told to 'think on' (as my grandmother would say), to whether or not they make contact in future. They've had the 'This situation has told me I cannot work, I cannot do my job, my income is zero'. Main thing to me is not being able to do my job, also I lost something else in my life a big part of my identity and I have my own worries about family/vulnerables as well as the other day-to-day difficulties all of us are experiencing.

My heart goes out to all those sex workers as can't imagine the financial hardships many maybe suffering. I know many normal workers are suffering as many of the Govt schemes are just PR, the only ones that worth anything are the Furlough scheme and the Business Rates Grant.

As to the future, as the "oldest profession" it will surely survive but whether online sex takes off as safer alternative, I don't know. There is so much porn freely available. Me personally I need the physicality as well as the human touch.

If anything, the lockdown has tempted me, that when safe, to explore more and wider.

I'm certain it won't put a total end to punting but I'm sure it's going to have a lasting effect. I'm really missing the punts but not really willing to take the risk.

Think many in the industry were just cash in hand and paid no tax or NI. So they will get nothing.
many who thought they were being clever with the taxman are in for a rude surprise.

I think punting will get back to more or less normal in time once people realise that it's no worse than many other viruses out there. The question is when will that be, I haven't got as long as most of you. ☺

Sorry, I think this is a dumb posting. You/she may infect her/you. She has made one limited change to reflect the current situation and you're complaining when it may be you who benefits.

Why do they need any excuse? Many don't do it for personal or hygiene reasons anyway.

As I've said, I believe that if an escort is that concerned about the virus she should not be working in the first place!
