New LAW forbidding spending time with someone who does not live with you

Anyone aware that according to new laws for CV19 FORBID spending time with a partner who doesn't live with you? They were discussing at great amusement on Good Morning Britain. What wil be the Cummings get out clause?

Could this be a tangential way of killing punting?

Pretty sure it's to stop the virus spreading further. Plus how amazing that a man looking after a sick child and taking him away from a house under siege still gets a mention by those unable to get over Brexit.

Since the lockdown began, I have managed to make three visits to escorts! Fortunately I have a vehicle that would not be stopped by the police as it would be considered to be used by an essential worker! All three visits have been to flats; this is means that I am less likely to be seen and reported by a neighbour. During this lockdown I would be reluctant to visit a house especially in a cul-de-sac as the chances of being reported by a neighbour who would then phone the police are higher.
You can visit who you like. You can go in their house. or garden. or use their bog.

BUT

You must stay 2m away from people from other households than your own

You cannot stay overnight.

Once inside the house, if the curtains are drawn, no-one knows how far you are from anyone else. Its unenforceable.

Who cares. its a hospital/care home acquired infection mostly now. people who are reasonably healthy are at minimal risk.

An escort agency that I use were due to re-open on the 1st June. They have not re-opened citing the latest Government guidelines; they don't believe that it is legal for clients to visit the escorts homes.

It has nothing to do with you suffering from the virus, it's to do with you giving the virus to the lady who then gives it to ten other people who then go home and give it to their family etc etc. That results in more case, more deaths and longer restrictions. Yes, I would take the risk but at least accept what the risk actually is.

The Adultwork site is still displaying the warning that it is against the law to meet someone outside of your household and it's online booking facility is inoperative.
Escort agencies are not displaying any new reviews but I did notice that Punternet started doing this yesterday.
What i dont get is how would they be able to police this?
It is one thing under old lock down rules monitoring the streets to check up what people are doing/where they are going. But to monitor what is going on behind closed doors and curtains. How would they know which house or flat to check up on?

I suppose central London is more risky than quiet locations.

Perhaps those who are married would have it all to lose as they could get caught now by police. But if your a single, nothing really to lose. Unless there is a criminal record involved? Or is it like a parking fine, you just pay a penalty.

All it takes is a phone call from a neighbour to the police and they will then go round and pay a visit! And there have been thousands of these phone calls since the lockdown began. I wouldn't go to a house especially in a cul-de-sac as you are more likely to be seen by one of the neighbours. Central London is easier as they all tend to work from flats there and you are less likely to come across 'nosey neighbours'!

<<how would they be able to police this? >> that rather misses the point. CV-19 remains a very dangerous virus that is still out there and, no matter what the law says, it is up to all of us to avoid catching it and then spreading it to others. The rules as they stand now really can't be policed but the more we all follow them the sooner this nightmare will be over and we can get back to some good healthy punting.

only 1% of us have the virus. Mostly asymtiomatic. thats been constant since April. ( [lockdownsceptics.org] )
God knows how many have had it and have immunity
We dont stop punting in the winter influenza season each year, when there is a bigger risk.

maybe look at the risk again in october. But by then they will have treatments that actually work, saving lives, and they wont be shipping infected people into care homes.
And sadly, many who are very vulnerable will have died. You cant die twice. (Unless you are Den off east enders)
