So now I'm getting into planning my trip, which no doubt sounds a bit daft to those guys living in and around London, and actually sounds a bit daft to me as well, as it's only London which is a few hundred miles away but only a few hours on the train. Still, travel and accommodation has to be sorted out and factored in to the overall cost. I'm not unfamiliar with London, as I lived there for five years in the 80s, but haven't been back much since.

I've spent a lot of time roaming over updates on places I've been before when younger, but in truth I'm not really getting anywhere. The word is Bangkok is seriously expensive now, Pattaya less so, but the "quality" has dropped significantly. Flights are £1,000 or more now, and it's a long haul. I was there six years ago and had a good time, but every fucker and his pack of friends goes to Pattaya to get pissed and make an arse of themselves, and I'm so not keen on the frenzy out there anymore.

Manila and Rio are very long trips, and Vietnam seems to be getting a thumbs down with 200 dollars often cited as the going rate there now. Bombay isn't getting great reviews on the ISG either from guys on the ground, with some saying unless you're crazy enough to go to the red light areas meant for Indians - a big mistake I made last time which is detailed on here elsewhere - it's not so easy to find what you're looking for. There now seems to be a lot more of the messaging, WhatsApp and phone and online contact stuff required these days rather than the easy way it used to be. I'm sure once you'd settled in to all these hotpots you'd get on OK, but that takes time.

So how do you plan a trip of this kind to London. I think it was Lamboy who detailed his "week in London". It involves a very different mindset from going abroad, for me anyway. If I was going to Thailand I'd set aside £3,000 or more and say, fuck it, you only live once, enjoy. And I wouldn't think about the money. Blowing £3,000 on a trip to London seems extravagant. You're not getting, for better or worse, the "foreign travel" experience, just Kensington, Earl's Court and the Edgware Road. But I intend to shape my thinking into accepting things as they are. So I'd be prepared to burn money going abroad but I'm no longer inclined to go on far flung trips (and there are no cheap female destinations ANYWHERE in Europe) so that money is available. It's there to spend. And having looked at the stunners on Babylon and elsewhere there's a darn good way to spend it.

The fact is, here in the barren provinces, I cannot remember the last time I met a very attractive young woman. It's four years and more. I haven't knocked on a door for more than three months. I've just had enough of going to see plain, dull, overweight females in their late 30s or 40s for £150. It's a dreary experience and just not worth it anymore. So in thinking aloud at some length here, London it is. Now I need to look around for some crappy cheap hotel - I couldn't care less where I stay - and set a week to get down there. I may slightly regret not going abroad, but there's no point in dithering endlessly over different options and not getting anywhere. I should add finally that the "London trip" experience I've outlined is an idealised scenario. There's been a fair bit of back and forth on here recently about supposed problems arising from London agencies, which I've weighed up and taken account of. Further views from guys who've used different agencies would be welcome, and I'll take account of that also, with due regard paid to what I rate as the credibility of the contributors. I'm going down to London in a few weeks time for the first time in many years. This is for something other than punting, but I'll make the most of it. The info on here from Babylon above and others in related posts comes right into play.

The hotel for the original two night stay has already been booked for me. But after that I'll strike out on my own. I hate wasting money on costly hotels when it could be put to much better use - upwards of £500 a night and more for somewhere to doss, madness! - but there are places around Shepherd's Bush/Hammersmith for 70 quid or so. I don't care how grotty they are, I'll have slept in worse in the UK and abroad.

And at around £150 a time, look excellent value. So I'll extend my stay by four or five days and will see how I get on. Now it's down to looking at the best way to get around and find addresses and so on. I don't like wasting money on taxis either, and I imagine in London they're bloody expensive. Not yet Babylon, but soon. The dates are fixed, ie it's not optional, I have to go anyway. As I say, I might as well extend my stay when I'm there. I've been looking at reviews, mainly on here. For guys down there it's obviously straightforward. But I have to choose a hotel for an extended stay, somewhere reasonably priced and not a total dump. Hotel prices in London are horrendous, I'm sure £300 would get you a decent room and facilities but not much more. Fuck that. I read reviews for a £75 a night place in Hammersmith. They weren't great. One on Tripadvisor said the worst thing was when she saw a rat in the room when she put on the light after hearing noises. Sharing with a rodent is a bit much, even for me.

However, that's some way removed from the main issue. I will find a place and I will use agencies as planned. I must of course think positively. But after shelling out for a hotel, getting around London and finding an address, all of which is a fair bit of hassle, or a lot of hassle, if I knock on a door and the woman who opens it is 10 years older and considerably plumper than what I've been led to expect, my level of disappointment would be off the fucking chart. I intend to use Sexyasianescorts, Olina and Babylon. I can only hope for the best. I reassure myself that fakes and fuck ups just will not happen.
